We bought a Mazda CX-3 five years ago, and we were excited about the 5 year unlimited kilometers warranty considering we drive quite a bit. We really did not have any big complaints about the car and were planning to buy a CX-30. Thank god we didn’t buy another one. 2 months after our warranty ended on the CX-3, the transmission went. Sadly, Mazda Canada and the dealership were unwilling to help, other than offering to give us a good deal on a new one. They told us that transmission problems are so rare that they never actually had one at the dealership. Funny thing about that, I called my friend who bought a Mazda 3 the same time we bought ours, and who would have guessed it, the tranny went on his car too. Luckily for him, it happened under warranty. Anyways, I took the car to our local transmission shop after learning Mazda wasn’t going to do anything for us. The owner was completely surprised that Mazda was unwilling to fix the transmission as according to him there is a TSB out there that the Mazda transmission has a bearing problem. He said this was likely the cause behind our transmission problems. Anyways, it was definitely sad to hear and disappointing to learn that Mazda doesn’t stand behind their products. I sure hope all of the people we referred to Mazda don’t have the same problems we had with ours. I would never recommend Mazda to anyone, and for those who own a Mazda, I would sell it before your warranty runs out and never look back. You don’t want to be on the hook for a $6000+ transmission repair. We bought a new GMC and moved on.

Small "SUV" Drives Like a Dream on Mud and Snow

I bought the All Wheel Drive Sport model in deep crystal blue. The exterior is so beautiful. I get constant compliments on the looks! The interior is so fun and intuitive. Everything is right where it needs to be to find it while driving. The only drawback would be the limited cargo space, but really, this is a fun sporty, reliable car! If you need a cargo van, this would not be your choice! Now the real treat: driving. Handles like a dream on the highways and on the dirt roads of the White Mountains in Arizona at 7,000 feet elevation. I don't take it off road, but the muddy dirt snowy roads are so fun to navigate in the driving machine! I'm getting 32 mpg combined highway and city, which is amazing for a fast all wheel drive car!!!

This car met my needs exactly. Price, size and performance with a good mix of features and available options. But if youre looking for something large and luxurious skip this vehicle.

For a subcompact it’s not perfect but it delivers on all fronts except rear seating which isn’t great but it’s ok for short trips. I’m loving the response, handling and quiet cabin. Yes—-zoom zoom!! And workmanship is amazing! I

Like the looks and enjoy zipping around the city but I find myself using a very heavy foot to deal with highway driving. Needs at least 20 more hp to make highway driving enjoyable and not a chore. Was 67 degrees and sunny for a change today in Seattle and had to put the ac on pretty high to deal with the heat in the car, how bad will it be at 80 to 90 degrees? Not looking forward to it, yes the lack of tinting is a significant drawback. No Apple carplay another annoying omission. And I'm finding u-turns that I made with no problem in my 2016 Mazda3 and 2016 vw tiguan are now taking two moves, the first time I attempted a familiar u-turn an oncoming car that was over 2 blocks away when I started the turn almost hit me when to my surprise I had to stop and make another steering move. So all and all I won't be getting one of these again unless there's improvement in the aforementioned issues.
