Very comfortable car

Acceleration is marginally adequate, with the engine being somewhat noisy. All controls are touch, which can be quite distracting when trying to manipulate while driving. Later year models have dispensed with much of this or have added some knobs which makes it much easier. The touch screen gets smudged with finger prints VERY easily, making it had to work with the screen in bright daylight. Overall, very comfortable car and nice to drive, although the ride can be somewhat bouncy and soft.

It does not have any additional cost when buying a Lincoln MKZ hybrid vs a gas only vehicle like other auto builders charge. Lincoln/Ford hybrid technology is first rate.

Bought my MKZ Hybrid with 88K miles to use for visiting my daughter off at college (a 460 mile drive each way). Today the MKZ has 188K miles and has been one of the most problem free cars I have ever owned. First the not so great - the engine is noisy and not fast. The conversion from electric power to gas is louder than I was expecting and takes some time to get used to. The car is not fast - it takes time to go from 0 to cruising speed, so if you're looking for a sports car, keep looking. The great - the car is incredibly reliable. It has 188K miles and I drive it every day. The A/C which has never had work done, is ice cold. The only preventative maintenance I've done except for oil changes is I changed the plugs and coil packs at 110K miles. I changed the transmission fluid at around 140K miles. I've done all of the work myself as preventative maintenance on this car is easy to do. For anyone looking for a hybrid, I would give this car more than 5 stars and would highly recommend. My daughter graduated from college in May and I'm giving it to her this week when she moves off to begin medical school. Jan 2024 Update - My MKZ is still running great at 200K miles and doesn't burn a drop of oil between 5,000 mile changes. My only complaint is that the rear suspension has developed a clunking noise when going over larger bumps, but I blame my wife and the way she aims for potholes as the reason for the noise. Still highly recommend for dependability and comfort.
