This car is absolutely incredible. I came from a 2004 BMW 330xi that was a complete nightmare from beginning to end, so I was looking for a car that was not made in Europe. The GS is rocket fast, quiet, extremely luxurious, and has impeccable build quality. The only option I wish I had was the Levinson sound, but I must say, the 10-speaker factory audio is not too shabby at all. I am hoping this beautiful beast will be far more reliable than the joke/gouge-fest that is BMW. ***UPDATE*** I've put about 40,000 miles on this car, and I still love it. I have no desire to trade it in or upgrade, and I still look forward to driving this vehicle every day. The only thing that has needed repair was the left rear door lock mechanism, which was about a $300 repair. Otherwise, just routine maintenance! Love this car!

Wonderful luxury sedan!

This is probably the best sedan I've ever owned. The engine is smooth, quiet and powerful. The ride is just right, not too soft..not too hard. The build quality of this automobile sets it apart from the other sedans in this class.

I've had my 2011 GS350 for 3 years. It was the last one of this body style on the lot and I got an amazing deal on it! This is my 4th Lexus, and my wife drives 2012 RX350. Amazing car. It is dead quiet at only 87 dB on the highway at 65 mph as measured by my sound level meter. The GS350 handles great, drives great, takes bumps nicely, and is fun to drive. At 25K miles I have never had a single issue with it, nor with any of my other Lexus or Toyota vehicles. Best "value" Lexus sedan out there. I think the snappy performance has saved me from an accident more than once. I will be in market for GX460 soon just for something different.

So-so audio

This is my first Japanese luxury car, coming out of 2 Audis and 1 MB. Though it doesn't have the tight road feel of the German cars, it blows them away with the technology, rear camera, parktronic and nav. But, having said that the audio sound system is disappointing, We don't have the Mark Levenson system. Our sound system doesn't have the fullness or the sharpness of even the basic systems in the German cars I have had. You shouldn't have to pay an extra $2,000 to get a really great sound in a $50,000+ luxury car.

Miss My IS-350 but then I don't....

I've had this car for two years now after never thinking I'd get rid of my IS-350. But I needed something bigger and with more features and this car is still awesome after two years. It's not as fun to drive as the IS but it's more of a laid back ride that has more features and makes you feel more important when driving it, ha ha. But the only things I would improve is the trunk space, speaker sound, and the passenger side wiper blade. Also I'd add the sunglass stowage back to this car. Why did they remove it? All in all I still love this car as I am just a big Lexus fan and I after two years of driving this car, I'm pretty happy with the choice I made to trade my IS in for the GS

This is my 4th Lexus. My first was a LS400, I have had 2 GS300, and this is my first GS350. All of them I drove well over 200k with the only issues being due to normal wear and tear. The only things I find a little awkward with my GS350 are the truck lid (very heavy and hard to open when hands are full). The stereo for the price of the car is more suited for a non luxury vehicle. My daughters both drive Chevy vehicles and both of their stereo's are way better than mine. My last and final complaint is where the USB and Aux ports are located. They are basically hidden to the very back of the center console which makes them very hard to reach. I had to have my grandson to plug in my cords because of the lack of light and the awkward placement. Other than that, the car is wonderful and I look forward to my next Lexus purchase in a few years.

A nice, luxury car at a fair price.

Very enjoyable car. Compared with an Acura RL, Infiniti M and the new Buick LaCrosse. If the LaCrosse was RWD & had just a a few more luxury features, that would have been the car to own at $6,000 less. Nevertheless, very happy with the GS. Performance is great. Good time to buy a loaded GS as the 2011 model is coming soon with a re-design. 15 MPG in real world city driving and 29 MPG hwy driving at 65 MPG with a/c on.

Poor highway speed handling

Have complained about wandering at highway speeds. Car requires continuous steering corrections. Factory rep checked, realigned and dealer has changed tire brands. Still the same. I don't trust Lexus (aka Toyota) to admit any problem especially since factory rep says he has never heard of any probs like this. He admitted he never reads Lexus sites. Relationship between electric steering, wheel/tire and suspension doesn't seem to be near as precise as my mbz clk500 but this car is as my wife describes: "jittery." I don't Dare take my eyes of the road for a second. I might end up three feet into another lane or shoulder of the road. Have 7,500 miles on odo.

Excellent but miss my SUV

I purchased this Lexus in Dec, 2009 and traded in my 2007 Acura MDX. I really miss having an SUV. If you like sedans, this car is excellent. The car is super quiet and the ride is very comfortable. No problems at low or high speed. Equp.with Dunlop tires. The AWD is fantastic and this year was a good one to test this car with all the snow we had. Breaks and power steering are good with no issues. I only have 3200 miles but so far Lexus gets an A+

Nice Car, Not a Race car

1000 Mile check up just done, nothing wrong. Reset computer options @ dealer to our preference ( 5 pages of options). Park assist a must as well as navigation with back up camera. Car has very good comfort programing. Such as Interior lights come on @ night when car is approached with transponder. Nag only goes to night mode when it is dark outside lights on or off. Flawless. Comfort car not a race car though. 3500 cc direct injection engine AWD gets 20 mpg city (all our miles are city) 2 mpg better than our 07 Honda Accord V6 3000cc. The $52K is a bargain compare to Jaguar 60K, BMW 65K, Mercedes 65K, or Audi A6 60K for the features and comfort. COMFORT!

Dash squeak in the cold, there is a coolant smell every once in a while and in the summer if you have the windows down there is a sulfur smell coming from the exhaust. This is a nice car, but with the amount of issues and the price I would never recommend it. Also I have noticed that Lexus dealers are very quick to deny or just use the excuse that its not a big deal when they are approached with issues. Very disappointed in the car and in the way Lexus deals with issues.

I have never checked the mpg on a car in 40 years of driving. I complained to the dealer from day one and am still trying to get some help. My average is about 13 mpg freeway or city streets got it up to 15 mpg on the road. I have heard really stupid comments from Lexus, but I am concerned, and if no other drivers have this problem guess it must be the car and a problem. If other drivers (cars) do have the problem I would really like to know. 3000 miles at present on the car

Windshield wipers

I just had 1,000 checkup and asked them to adjust wipers to lower or disappearing level. I was told they are in Summer Mode which is 1" from the tip of the wiper to the bottom of the windshield glass on driver's side and 2" etc. on the passenger side. Winter Mode keeps they UP EVEN HIGHER! Yet, in all photos of GS350 MODEL they either show it at angles that don't reveal this DESIGN FLAW or when you do see a photo clearly displaying the hood and the entire front windshield you do NOT SEE THE WIPERS! I can only conclude that Toyota has deceived us again by RETOUCHING THEIR PHOTOS. I welcome other GS350 owners comments.
