Snapping Handles and Rust
I love how it drives. Love the MPG. Love the interior and technology features. Love the exterior style. For all of that - I'm extremely disappointed to write that I will probably not buy this car at the end of my lease. Sadly, I'll probably owe extra for mileage but I hate to buy what seems like poor quality. I've had THREE door handles snap off - passenger side doors that aren't used often. It's the same piece inside the handle that just snaps. Very disappointing and annoying. Now I noticed tiny spots of rust all over the tailgate and bottom half of the car. It's not even 2 years old. I'm so disappointed because I was going to buy this car but how will this possibly hold up? The resale value will suck if it's rusting. I baby this car - it's in a garage every night and hits the car wash every other week to wash away winter salt. I'm beyond disappointed because overall - it's a pretty good car but the quality is lacking.

I love my kia
I got the touring model. unfortunately it doesn't get the 50+ miles but maybe it's worth all the extra bells and whistles. it is such a luxurious car though and I get about 500 miles on $20 of gas! I do like it more than the prius.

Far Exceeded Expectation
I bought my Niro off sales floor in March of 2017. It was in dealer’s initial allocation. I didn’t know much about the car, although the couple of magazine reviews I had read were favorable. My biggest single concern was quality of dealer service. My previous car was a Highlander, and dealer service was outstanding. Although service has been satisfactory, dealer does not offer free shuttle, for me a major drawback. As for the car itself, I have been pleasantly surprised. Car is comfortable, performs OK, fuel economy outstanding (c. 50mpg vs.18 for Highlander). I wish Niro were offered in AWD, as is Soul. I expect it will be added.

Beware
Buyer beware if you live in a cold climate this car gas mileage will tank. For me when temps below 30 degrees F. It drops 17mpg. Dealer excuse it is because it is cold out and is to be expected.

Braking was a deal-breaker for me
Test-drive is a must, make sure you're okay with the braking. Everything else was great but breaking was a big concern for me. I feel like it doesn't really 'bite' and might be risky for a real-time hard-braking situation.
