2024 Jeep Wrangler Willys 4dr SUV 4WD (3.6L 6cyl 6M)

Jeep has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. On December 4, 2023, I made a deal to purchase a brand new Wrangler Willys from a dealership even though this vehicle had some extra features that I did not initially intend to buy. One of these features was a Uconnect 4C NAV & sound group. After picking up my Jeep and driving for only for about 20 minutes, I realized that the Navigation was not working. I did not pay much attention to this, thinking I just needed to sync it when I got home. However, after getting home and trying to sync and reset the Navigation, it still was not working. I called Jeep Chrysler customer care. The support person who answered the phone explained how to reset the Nav but their advice did not work. I was then advised to go to the nearest Jeep service. At my servicing appointment, it was determined that the entire radio unit in my Jeep was broken and had to be replaced. The Jeep dealership ordered a new radio. However, the service workers informed me that they could not complete my radio replacement without permission from Jeep customer care and that I would have to open a case regarding this. The service workers called the dealership where I purchased my Jeep. I was told over the phone that my radio was most likely wrongly installed when the vehicle was in the factory and this was not the first time this had happened. Three days later, I finally managed to get through to Jeep customer care over the phone and I received a case number. It has been a month and I still cannot reach the case manager assigned to my case using the number provided to me by Jeep customer care. I have called every day and the call always goes to voicemail. Despite leaving three messages, I have never been called back. I have even tried calling other Jeep departments who have tried to connect me to my case manager with no luck. These departments have also sent emails to my case manager but I have still not received a single response. The navigation system, SOS call and road assistance in my new Jeep are completely broken, I have received no help, and I still have no idea what is happening with my case. This is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed in the horrendous customer service I have received. I paid for a brand new Jeep and paid more for its extra features, including the Uconnect 4C NAV & sound group. It is this feature that is not working, so I pretty much spent money for nothing. I was so excited about having a Jeep but now this became just a huge headache. Jeep has not taken any action to replace the faulty radio and their customer service exists only on paper. It seems that Jeep and Stellantis unfortunately just care about taking all your money without providing the quality service they claim to offer. I hope my story can help other potential customers think twice before purchasing a Jeep.

Fun, Solid, Comfortable Ride

I'm 73 and needed a new car that could be flat towed behind my motorhome. Jeep fit the bill. I really enjoy the feel of it when driving. The fit and finish are excellent and the ride is firm but comfortable. The turbo charged 2 liter engine is very responsive at all speeds and is delivering 20+ all round milage as promised. I'm looking for to exploring new places with the roof open. I have the 3 piece hard top which is tight, quiet and easy to open up the roof panels for some extra view and breeze Update:5000 miles I still love it and have had ZERO issues. I get 23-24 mpg and raised my rating on comfort some.

My Last Hoorah!

I love my Sarge Green Willys Sport 2-Door, V-6, with Manual. I researched my build options to death before custom order. It looks and feels like a mean, green, jeepin machine. It also fits nicely in my garage. I'm an empty-nester, so 4-Door was out; I like the 2-Door looks better. She zips and punches nicely; straighten the curves, flattin the hills...

Bought a New 2024 Jeep Wrangler and had to trade it, at a loss, at 3000 miles. My wrangler was the vehicle of nightmares! Check engine light came on routinely with pages of problems! The dealer indicated a software update was needed and the update only increased the number of fault codes! Worst new care purchase in my lifetime! Run far and fast away from this disaster! I will NEVER buy a Jeep product again!

2 door manual transmission

Munkyshine, 02/15/2024

6 of 6 people found this review helpful

The Good: Strong. Looks so nice; got the Willys and this year (2024) comes with locking rear differential. Does not ride like the older Jeeps. Much improved. Better quality all around. Got a wrangler due to ease of flat tow behind RV. The Bad: Yes still noisier than a sedan, rides similar to a truck, and poor gas mileage; what do you expect for off-road greatness. Minor wind sound at freeway speed; hey, this is a hard top convertible. The Ugly: Due to wanting an unheard of combination of only two doors (we have no kids), and wanting a manual transmission (anti-theft in this day and age), we had to order; it took the manufacture 9 months to deliver!

I love my Jeep! It’s roomy, solid body, and has back up camera! I have the soft top. I love that I can push it back to the second roll bar by myself. The ride is much smoother than older models. I just wish it was better on gas and came with a gas cap cover standard.

A Jeep for Keeps

Jim, 04/19/2022
2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4dr SUV 4WD (3.6L 6cyl 6M)

I bought my 2022 Snazberry Wrangler Unlimited in January 2022 and I am very happy with the overall performance, styling, rugged feel and utility of the Jeep Wrangler. I have the V-6 engine with Automatic Transmission with the premium soft top and upgraded stereo with 8" video screen. The Jeep has all the creature comforts and more anyone could ask for. I really like the acceleration along with the visibility of traffic around me. I even think the gas mileage is good for the power it delivers. I have 2100 miles on it and i m averaging 21-22 miles per gallon. The Jeep came with Michelin tires and they handle very nicely. I really only have 1 complaint I have about the Jeep and it has to do with the soft top. The soft top is quite easy to put up and take down. However, the side and back curtains when taken down do not afford much 'flex' when it comes to folding them up to keep in the Jeep. Also, the Jeep does not really provide a compartment for the back and side curtains. The curtains have an edge to them and I don't want to put a crease or bend the edges so it is a bit difficult to place them properly in the Jeep when taken off so they do not sustain any damage. There is a slight rattle in the upper passenger side when the top is up that is a bit annoying. I have placed a towel along side the frame to absorb some of the rattle and has been effective. Otherwise, trying to pinpoint that rattle has been difficult, It is a small nuisance and really something I probably should not notice, but I do notice. It does not, however, lessen my appeal for the Jeep, as it is a very quality vehicle and one I am happy to own. I have personalized my Jeep by placing some nice side steps from Extreme Terrain, Smitty Built seat covers and a patriotic tire cover on the back. So far, very pleased with the Jeep and I have received many praises from people who have seen the Jeep.

Please be careful before buying this vehicle. On my 4xe, the Check Engine light came on the first day I took the possession of the vehicle. I feel this is a safety issue, as when the check engine light comes on, it turns off all the safety features - traction control, collission warning, cruise controle, regen braking, etc. My vehicle has been in the shop for last 3 months. They couldn't figure out the problem for the first 2 months, but then later they figured out it was something related to ABS. Now the replacement module is on backorder and they don't know when they will receive it due to chip shortage. Fortunately they hooked me up with a temporary rental, which allows me to get around.

Quality is job 5-8 on the 2023 Wrangler JL

Charles S, 05/02/2023

To start I have two identical build JL's, a 2020 and most recently this 2023. What I wanted when I ordered the new one was everything that I have with the 2020, what I got was similar to a copy purchased off wish. The quality on the 2023 is garbage! Ordered the '23 in September of '22 with it arriving and me taking ownership in December. The first few days I observed what appeared to be a large fiber beneath the paint on the A-pillar. So off to the dealership with that which was corrected, although the dealer screwed up a door sensor during the repair which caused the ESS to malfunction. Now the driver side footwell is filling with water from an unknown point of entry, it's literally a bathtub down there. So glad I spent $200 on all weather floor mats to protect the soaked carpet. And the dealer isn't a solution, mine can't even perform a simple oil change without dumping a quart all over the motor. It is what it is I suppose, but out of the decades that I have been purchasing new vehicles, I've never been disappointed by one as much as I have been by this '23 JL. Never again

I purchased my 2024 Jeep Wrangler last October. I sat for a few weeks when I used it the glove compartment falls of, the radio didn’t start and the back wiper does not work. I know this is nothing compared to other buyers, but when spending the amount of money they cost. One expects the purchase to be 100%. Ready to be on the road. Not take it out and things are failing.

Approaching 20,000 miles and still enjoying Jeep

I’m now approaching 20k miles and most of these miles have been problem free. 1- This 2022 Willies is equipped with the new auto shut off but this 2022 and is much improved. The previous version was a constant curse. The 6cyl Pentastar engine should and does continue to provide for great acceleration on the highway. The Willies has the “Rubicon Style” off-road tires so the on pavement ride is as expected, rough compared to those with less aggressive tread. The tread did come in handy this past winter in the snow This Willies “is” my daily drive and commuter. I travel backroads daily and average 20+ mpg on these roads with very few stop signs. Highway mileage depends upon speed. Interstate travel with no stops is around 22-26 at up to 65-70mph. Faster speeds cut these numbers significantly. The convertible aspect (front sunrider top) is an outstanding feature with the Wrangler. This add-onn feature allows for 1/2 top back in 5 seconds with a flick of the fingers- no knuckle busting! One of the main reasons we have a Wrangler (our 7th) is for the open-air convertible feature. Back seats are still not for adults to sit comfortably. Recently I had 2 adults squeeze into the back for a short 3 mile travel. These were young and not very big. 2- I still appreciate the option of the “all wheel drive” transmission selection. For anyone who does mixed weather driving in the NE it is a comforting option. I highly recommend it. FYI =the “AWD” selector choice minimizes the need to constantly shift into 4wd. My first concern is that the push button start has been an issue on 2 occasions when I thought the jeep would not start. Both times “nothing happened” when I tried to start. After a few attempts I did a shutdown and restart (like a computer) and the jeep finally worked. I’m NOT a fan of the push button start. This will be on my short list of items to check at my next inspection at the dealership. My second complaint remains that that Jeep ‘did not’ offer the option of a rear-locker for 2022. I’ve been places off road where a locker WAS a game-changer. “It’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it” I would have selected that option to make this Red, Willies, “near perfect” for our needs.

My experience with Jeep has been a disappointment. It lacks reliability, suffers from poor fuel efficiency, provides an uncomfortable ride, lacks modern features, and exhibits subpar build quality. I strongly advise against considering a Jeep as a viable option and recommend exploring more reliable and better-built vehicles in the market.

Just purchased this 2023 Rubicon. Very well appointed. Leather seats are much more comfortable than my previous Wrangler’s fabric seats. More tech, bigger tires and more off road capabilities. Since we do many trails in the Rockies, Utah and Arizona this is a nice upgrade. We flat tow behind our motor coach, so Jeep is our preferred choice.

Hard core 4wheel Drive

Absolutely capable off roader. I came full circle owning Jeeps when I was a youngster to migrating to GMC and Ford Trucks and now back to a manual transmission 4 door Willys version 2024. It is a blast to drive one of these rigs. I got a hard top with fabric to mitigate the noise…it has 33 inch tires… This is not a conventional family car and it was never expected to be one. It has a utilitarian heritage that is built in to it and the drive train and those solid axes… I am impressed by the new technology that it has (infotainment, air conditioning) and its relentless focus on strong structures (body on frame). I am glad that Jeep is still around building these incredible machines. Compared to other eras, this Jeep Wrangler is the best ever. Fun vehicle to own. Not a lot of things…this is not a sport car. That is why I own one of those too. Jeep thank you for building such a capable 4 wheeler.

Poor Quality in 2024

This is the 3rd wrangler I've owned since 2012 and have not had issues with either of the previous models. This 2024 is plagued with little issues so far that the dealers cannot fix. - The t-top on the driver's side leaks water, even after the seal has been replaced twice. The dealer had to open up an engineering ticket to ask Jeep engineers how to fix it. - The new infotainment system, specifically Sirius XM radio has more bugs than your local landfill. It randomly duplicates my presets. It frequently cannot find a connection to SXM. I have to manually switch over to FM then back and then back to SXM before it works. I"ll be on a music channel and the display will randomly show I'm on a news channel. You get the drift. - Rattles galore in the dash that two different dealers can duplicate but not able to find and fix. I"m ready to invoke the lemon law on this one!

I bought this 2023 2 door Wrangler Rubicon to use during the winter in Florida, as I was racking up too many miles on my GMC Sierra. I bought it because I had a 1976 V8 CJ5 years ago and it was my favorite vehicle that I have ever owned. I love driving my new Jeep so much, I flew back to Florida and drove it back to Pittsburgh to use all summer. Lots more comfort than the old CJ and the 3.6 has plenty of power with the 4:10 Dana 44's for me. So far after 5,000 miles I am thrilled with it. Hopefully, it will be as dependable as the old CJ. I had 212,000 miles on it when the body crumbled away. I put another 115,000 on it when the frame went. But, so far so good with the JL Rubicon. I hope it lasts, I think it will because I see a ton of Florida JL's and JK's for sale with high milage on them. I will keep folks posted if I have any problems with it.

We left the Wrangler family back in 2022 for a Land Rover Defender. Ended up with a Mini Cooper Countryman and a Genesis GV70 as our daily drivers but we really missed our Wrangler for our fun weekend vehicle. While looking at used ones, we found that we could get a 2024 for not much more than a used 2021 would cost, so we made the plunge. This is the best Wrangler we’ve ever owned. Very smooth, quiet ride even on our AT tires. The infotainment system is top notch with wireless AA/CP and a large screen. The safety tech is comparable to my Genesis. I love the high riding position in town, and the maneuverability makes local driving a breeze. Jeep made very noticeable improvements in the 2024 version.

Our 2024 ICE Rubicon has worked out really well. It is everything that I expected including the stiff ride and the high seating position. The vehicle is well put together and i have absolutely no complaints with any of its features. Everything works as expected in the 1000 miles that I have owned it. The stick shift 1st gear ratio is little odd but you can get used to it in no time. Otherwise the manual transmission works as expected.

We love driving. parking. and knowing the size of this vehicle while holding 4 normal sized people. This is by far the best vehicle to buy and resale in this country!

This is a fun vehicle to drive all year around. So cool with the top down in the summer months. Dirt road trails with a little mud are no challenge for a Wrangler. A rugged tough fun ride.

I am in awe with the daily drive. It’s fast, rugged, and comfortable tackling the urban terrain of NYC and the off roads in Delaware!

Only had her a little less then a month but so far she has been everything I expected. She drives more like a luxury vehicle but is sexy like my other Wranglers I have had. She has plenty of pick up and go with so much better on gas miles.

Lots of bells and whistles on this Jeep. Most are for safety which I like. Nice quiet ride with the 3 piece hardtop. Nice looking overall.

2023 jeep wrangler sahara high altitude

Fist time owning a Jeep. The Sahara high altitude trim (V6 engine) has just about every thing you could want all for 80K. The only complaint is the very annoying loud rattle of the speakers in the overhead roll bar. For 80k you would think they could properly sound proof the upgraded sound system. Had to take speakers out and dynamat everything.... Otherwise love the vehicle just have to get used to the tank like stiff ride.

I have had Many great Jeeps. Now It’s time for the latest ! Test drove several of the new Wranglers and ordered a 2 door 6 cyl. With a Manual transmission, hard top and towing package. It’ll take some time to get here. Meanwhile I need to sell my 1981 CJ5. I hate to have to do that but…I’m ready. Can’t wait for my NEW Wrangler!

UCONNECT ISNT WHAT IT USED TO BE.

Let me start by saying I have been using UCONNECT in Chrysler products since 2002 and I pay CASH. I use the handsfree a LOT in my business. The UCONNECT in the 2024 AND 2025 Wrangers and Gladiators is ABYSMAL. As someone who traded a 2020 Gladiator that worked perfectly I can honestly say that UCONNECT in these vehicles is soooooo bad and given that I have been an avid user since 02 that says a lot. AVOID THESE VEHICLES unless you have an iphone, for the native APIs and Android Auto it is terrible. Also the factory will blow you off with the wind and keep you on hold for HOURS. I have stars tickets and expedites to beat the band and all I get is "it is what it is". Good way to destroy a 20 year 12 vehicle relationship Stellantis, but you surely have. BTW, the Grand Cherokees, RAMS and even Compasses work FINE.
