I've only owned it one week. For the last two years I've been looking at the Jeep Liberty. I'm not quite used to being up so high (previous car was a Grand Prix). It's fun to drive and I feel very secure. Having horses, it's very practical for me. I think I've made the right choice.

Don't buy a Liberty !

Bought used at 13k miles. Both rear windows have failed - window just falls into door when driving along. It's a massive safety issue. Don't buy this car if you have children or animals. It's just not safe. Chrysler want to wait for somebody to die before they think about doing something. Currently they charge $450+ to fix - even though the fix will just fail again. It's just a matter of time. If Chrysler had any small piece of care for their customers they would recall this design issue. But instead they are looking at it as a revenue stream. I'm never buying another Chrysler.

Fun to drive but...expensive to own...

I have a blast driving my Jeep. But, the poor gas mileage (average of 15 - 16 city/highway), the window regulator failure (three times), 4 alignments and the three set of tires it has gone through in 73,000 miles, and now I'm told the rear end needs to be rebuilt. All of this has made the decision to purchase a different type of vehicle very easy. We are a Jeep family, we own three others and have NEVER had these problems. Our '98 Cherokee with 220,000 miles gets better mileage than I do in mine. I certainly won't buy another Liberty.

Good fuel economy, good looks and at 3,500 miles sustained $6,500 damage when rear-ended. Average 21 city, 27 road but if I slow down to 65 highway MPG goes up. Get the factory Bluetooth for cell phone. Stereo is good.

I am 5' tall with a boyfriend of 6'6", we both fit quite well and comfortably to drive the jeep. I have had 2 recalls since I purchased ( no big deal). It drives great, looks good, the interior is designed very well. The 1/3 and 2/3 split back seats fold down easily. Leather seats with heater great. However, my mileage is 13 - 15.7 (15 on highway) per gal. I drive mostly highway and conservatively, no sudden stops or starts. I can see the gas gauge go down as I drive. The overhead says avg mileage stays at 14 - 14.8 MPG, manual calculations show it correct
