Love it, hate filling it
I looked at lots of small/midsize SUVs before deciding on the Liberty. I really love driving in it!!
Jeepers Creepers!! Windows stink!!
The window regulators on the Liberty must have come from a Cracker Jack box! There is NO reason we (as owners) should be replacing these regulators every 6-8 months! Jeep KNOWS there is a problem with the quality of the materials used in the regulators & they need to step up to the plate & make a QUALITY regulator! I think this is a pretty sad ploy to have your vehicle back in to replace these EXPENSIVE regulators so often!

Worse Jeep Made
I purchased my 2006 Liberty new. The seats stain easily and do not come clean. I have 26,000 miles on mine and the steering is starting to get some play, and it isn't driven off-road. Had to have window regulators replaced 10 times, every window has fallen down twice and now I am on 3 times for a couple. In fact I have one down now. I have always been a Jeep guy, but they lost my business. As soon as it is out of warranty I am getting rid of it. Also, my rear interior light comes on every now and then for no reason. Chrysler should be ashamed of their vehicles.
Don't buy a Liberty !
Bought used at 13k miles. Both rear windows have failed - window just falls into door when driving along. It's a massive safety issue. Don't buy this car if you have children or animals. It's just not safe. Chrysler want to wait for somebody to die before they think about doing something. Currently they charge $450+ to fix - even though the fix will just fail again. It's just a matter of time. If Chrysler had any small piece of care for their customers they would recall this design issue. But instead they are looking at it as a revenue stream. I'm never buying another Chrysler.
Downsize equals fuel savings and fun.
My wife and I had both become very used to our 2004 Dodge 3500 4x4 SLT 4 door one ton diesel Dodge Ram PU. It was a tad hard to park, rather cumbersome in its size, but definitely the best truck we ever owned. Its fuel economy was actually very good at around 18 MPG. Trouble is, when diesel became the MOST expensive fuel out there, and we seldom needed its terrific pulling power, it just did not make sense to pay all that money for fuel. The Jeep (we have also had them before) has proved a pure joy. It has plenty of power for our hilly country side, handles with just a touch to the wheel, and is a breeze to park and maneuver. Fuel savings are great, and it is easier to enter and egress.
