i bought a fully loaded turbo with the 7speed auto.i took this car for a long test drive before i purchased,and i can tell you that the negative reviews on here must be from people who bought the regular veloster.the turbo is a real pocket rocket.ride can be bumpy,but i knew this when i test drove the vehicle.i love the hyundai blue link,its awesome.

I looked at a lot of cars on the internet and read many reviews. The car I selected was the Hyundai Voloster, the price and the quality of the car is the reason. Got a great deal on 2016 close out, a vitamin c color turbo. The car sounds great on start up, I like a little noise from the pipes. The engine is smooth, the transmission takes some getting use to. The salesman said to help with the turbo. Took a trip at about 400 miles and was getting 39.6 mpg on highway. I really like the car, it does have some blind spots. But mirror adjustment solved that. I now have over 5000 miles on my car, still love it. Great gas mileage and a fun to drive. Have taken a few trips with car always great gas mileage and puts a smile on my face.

First off, the base engine is lacking power, I don't know why they don't have the 2.0 l engine from the Elantra GT available for this car . If you are tall, not the vehicle for you . Interior parts are cheap looking . Side vision is not great, make sure you really look before lane changing . The backup camera is a great feature . I have the 6 speed manual transmission, this has to be the smoothest shifting manual I have ever had and I have only had vehicles with manual transmissions . Steering and braking performance is good . Fuel consumption is great, this car usually only sees city driving, averages 33 in city driving conditions, the few times it has been on expressway, I've only gone 10-15 miles, so no idea what to expect on a long distance trip . The vehicle I had before the Veloster, was a '91 Honda CRX Si, 24 years of ownership, I would say it's pretty comparable to the Veloster . This is a great car for general use, if you have children, or need to carry adults in the rear seat, not the vehicle for you . I'm single and this car provides basic dependable transportation at a low cost, which is what I was looking for . If you are buying this car to make a sports car out of it, buy the turbo instead, it will cost less in the long run . I got 3 free oil changes with the purchase of the vehicle, every time I had the car in for service, they made major errors, letting air out of the tires, it was 117 F and the road temps were 175 F, when I checked the tire pressures the next week they were 9 psi below where I keep them . On rotating the tires, when I checked the torque of the lug nuts, one wheel had the nuts so tight, I needed a long pipe on the breaker bar to break it loose, one wheel was torqued correctly, 2 wheels were about one fourth the torque they should have been . One oil change, the oil level was too high, 2 quarts overfilled . The next oil change, the oil drain plug was left loose and I came close to losing all the oil in the engine . This dealer will never touch this car ever again . Asked to update my review, I've had the vehicle just short of 7 years, 18,000 miles, no issues with it, put fuel in it, check tire pressures, oil level, coolant level every two weeks, that's all the care it needs for now . I'm sure tires will require replacement in the next 2 years or so, this incessant desert heat is going to ruin them long before I wear them out . August, 2022, windshield washer fluid reservoir developed a leak, empty now, it's 109 F now, so I'll defer this until the weather is cooler .Looks like the right front inner fender well and tire need to be removed to access this .

Brought this jewel home with 6 miles on the odometer! And can tell you its a true elite white diamond turbo so far!! Have almost 3500 miles on it already in 3 months already 2 road trips ! I to Sedona Arizona and its fast, quick, sporty enough handling, comfortable and does get a few looks!! Yes some nits are the transmission seems slow to respond probably my biggest gripe but its good on gas.the interior plastics on doors scratch easily. And visibility can be a hidden problem!! But hay for the money 24000 with rebates and fully loaded with the panoramic moonroof!!! I can hang with this diamond!!! Till next review enjoy!!! Im sold so far on the veloster turbo!!!

This car is a drivers car. It has a good weight to horse power ratio. It handles superbly. It is not over powered and it gets decent gas mileage. It is 4 passenger vehicle when needed. More suited for 2 passengers with plenty of cargo space for 2. I have taken one of these on a 400 + mile trip. It is very comfortable and road worthy on all highway conditions, the wind does not blow it around like other small cars I have driven. The Huyndai is noted for its reliability and I am planning on having this auto for many years. I still am enjoying my 2016 Turbo Veloster. I have been driving it this year in the winter snow and ice . It does a pretty good job as long as the snow is not to deep. I took a 1000 mile trip this fall it was comfortable and I averaged a little over 31 MPH. I have had no problems at all with this car. I am still enjoying my 2016 Turbo Veloster. I have taken a couple 800 plus mile trips. It is a great road trip car, Best with 2 on trips. Have taken 2 passengers before it was good. I take to its scheduled maintenance. It has no problems. The tires only lasted about 28000 miles. I had a 2012 Veloster and its original tires lasted about the same.
