Used 2001 Hyundai Tiburon Consumer Reviews
Mixed Feelings
overall, i like the way the car drives. however, i noticed a problem with the car a couple days after driving it off the lot. It had a terrible intermittent vibration and wabbling - out of control. I also noticed that the car pulled to the left side. The most frustrating part of this problem was the dealership. The claim that nothing was wrong with the car after taking it in several times. I think the car had bad tires. Since then, I had to replace a tire which was not covered. I have also had a few other parts replaced. It was frusttrating to find that my new had these problems, but even worst was the way the dealership dealth with it.
not what it appears to be
Lots off rattles and squeaks. Less comfort than expected. Poor acceleration and poor handling. seems to slide off the road over bumps.

Best Buy For The Money
I have had my Tiburon for 2 years now and haven't had a thing wrong with it! It is fun to drive and I don't have to worry about it breaking down anywhere. I have no complaints after 2 years!
GT-R
Ever since the Tib went on sale in 1997, i wanted this car. It looked like nothing i had ever seen, and for a cheap amount. my grandfather bought me a used blue 2001 tib with 10,400 miles. i've now had it for 8 months and has been so much fun. i prob wash it atleast once a week. sufficient amount of pick up for an economy car and is fun to shift. already have put a magnaflow exhaust and an AEM cold air intake on it. lots more performance for $500 worth of mods. its worth it. overall, great first car for a 16 yr old!
resale value
We just sold our Tiburon. We brought it new from Hampton Hyundai. It went for $16000 in January of 2001. When we went to Hampton to trade it in, they only offered us $7000 for it!!! Great car, but don't expect much of a trade in.
