Great value and excellent performance

After owning 4 LS series Lexus's I decided on a change due to the Lexus lackluster styling and high price. Toyota/Lexus was having all the recall problems at the time and upon reading the various automotive reviews I took a Genesis for a test drive. What a pleasant surprise. After 3000 miles I can say that the car handles beautifully in all driving conditions, has excellent acceleration and a virtually sound proof cabin. I would highly recommend this car to anyone interested in a high quality luxury sedan like ride at a very affordable price.

You can't buy a better luxury car for the money. I owned a Sonata which was one of the most trouble free cars I've ever owned, and the Genesis is following suite. The quietness, luxury interior, looks, features, well, just about anything I care about is outstanding. I routinely get compliments from the people who see it and the ones who ride in it. If your emphasis is on value, get a Genesis. If your ego demands recognition, get a BMW, Lexus or Mercedes.

Best Luxury Car - Especially the Price

My 4.6 is the best luxury car in this price range AND others that cost $10- 20K more! I drove the GS350, ES350, and G37. I really liked the GS & ES but couldn't justify spending at least $10K more. My friends dogged me for buying a Hyundai, but after seeing the car and driving or riding in it they have changed their minds. 2nd Hyundai and I'm impressed. Quiet & comfortable. HD stereo is great but you're limited on stations. Nav is great - you can change it while driving. Takes a while to get used to command knob. I like this car much more than my wife's 07 TL!! I've had the car for 5K miles and still love it. I highly recommend this car! I think Hyundai is building great cars.

I can't get over that I have not been tempted by cars coming out years after mine. I have gone car shopping, with the intent of buying a new car, multiple times since 2014. Problem is, I can't drive my car and the new test cars back to back without deciding to keep mine. Which cars? BMW 5 series, Audi A6 diesel, Acura RLX and the Sports Hybrid. To be fair, I didn't like the standard suspension in my Genesis, so I spent $500 for ARK replacement shocks. Now my car rides more comfortably than the stock vehicle, and corners much better, too. Also, the ride is lowered by 1 inch, and I love the look.. The Audi and BMW, RLX, all rode no better than my car. I did drive a 2012 Mercedes E350, and the comfort of the Mercedes was FAR GREATER than that of any of the other cars above. But the back seat of the Mercedes was tiny, and the trunk so small, I would have had to take clubs out of my bag every time I went golfing. So here's the thing, my car has a stereo as good as any. The interior space is that of a BMW 7 series. The trunk is so big that I take foursomes on driving golf vacations (yeah, 4 sets of clubs and some bags to get us through, some of it goes in the middle of the back seat). No other car has given me all this, while running on regular gas, and needing so little repair over 155,000 miles. The maintenance is cheap. The acceleration startlingly good. My 250 lb frame did wear out the leather on the driver's seat, and the rails under the seat have to be cleaned up to let the seat track well while I'm in it. That is it, nothing else has ever gone wrong. There were aspects of the other cars I liked better: The gas mileage of the BMW and Audi diesel (but not that much better when determining the cost differential for premium or diesel fuel). The looks of the Audi. The RLX had as big an interior as my car, but was front wheel drive with rear wheel steering, but the ride was worse than my car. The Mercedes was a dream to drive, but only for 2 people on long trips, and I like my trips. I do want nannies in the future, such as smart cruise control, and front impact prevention, but I still think they have a ways to go to not be intrusive. Oh, I have to mention that the best nannies are on the new Genesis. Update: Car has 155,000 miles on it, original rear brakes are still on it. Fronts replaced at 100,000 miles. No engine troubles. Electronics are all working, but Nav screen failed, and I have purchased a replacement used screen on ebay, that has work well, but cost me 2.5 hours of labor to replace. . I I have no plans to change my car. The solution of the ARK suspension was the only answer I had been seeking. An old mechanic gave me the idea of increasing the tire pressure to stiffen the side walls, and the improvement was magical. He feels the tires will last longer, as most people allow the tires to underinflate chronically, and my tires have always worn out at the edges, supporting his claim. The door locks are sticking now, and I will have to open the driver's door with the key on hot days, and the passenger rear door on the left will stick as well, so I have to reach around to open the door. But the car is otherwise doing remarkably well. I am planning on an electric car for my next vehicle, but I don't see the end in sight for the current one.

After researching this car for more than six months, I purchased the v/8 with the tech package in may of 2010. The 4.6 liter engine rocks. It's smooth and powerful. The nav system is first rate. It does however take me the long way around sometimes. The radio and sound system is middle of the road but acceptable. Fit and finish is as good as I have seen on much more expensive cars. Ride and handling is great. Fuel efficiency is not what I expected. The car is rated at 25 mile per gallon highway. After three long trips the best mine has done is 23. That strictly highway and staying south of 75 miles per hour. Overall rating 8.

Genesis Sedan is quite a looker

My Genesis 3.8 sedan has really good power and delivers great gas mileage. Two issues I've experienced were windows would roll down from drivers door controls but not go back up. They would go up and down from individual door controls though. I took the drivers door controls out and carefully disassembled it to reveal it consists of two circuit boards sandwiched together. I separated them and put them back together. The windows are back to normal. The other issue is with the small black button on the driver's outside door handle. It has become very sensitive and sometimes gets stuck after touching it lightly so the Key Not Found alert tone goes off sometimes when the door is opened. I recently found out that Hyundai is no longer providing map updates for the GPS, the last being 2014. One other problem is with the GPS screen which flickers on and off with varying brightness. It tends to work in hot weather but not so much in cold weather. It is obvious to me there is a poor connection inside somewhere. When I have time I need to open up the dash, remove the unit, and carefully inspect all internal connections and correct anything I see that needs addressing. One year later I still haven't removed and inspected the head unit. Otherwise the car starts, runs, and drives really well. i would buy one again for sure.

One of our children had just totaled my 2001 GS430 Lexus L-Tuned. I loved that car. Distraught and needing a car, a friend encouraged me to look at the Genesis. After owning nothing but Lexus, BMW, Saab Turbos,Mazda 929, I was very skeptical.I drove the Genesis demo 8 cylinder for two days. I was amazed. My wife was amazed, and that takes a lot of "doing". I thought about it for two days and drove another V8 demo for a day. I was hooked. We have just finished a 3000 mile trip to New England and on IS-95 the V8 averaged 27.5 mpg--- unbelievable and comfort was great. This car is as good as any I have owned. Keep making Genesis this good and you'll see the competition through the rear view mirror.

This has been the most reliable car I have ever owned! Before retiring, I used it in business putting a lot of miles per year. It never failed me and cost me next to nothing in repairs. Just replaced the brakes the first time after over 160K miles! Amazing! Update: After retiring and having logged over 175K miles on my Genius, I decided to trade it in though nothing was wrong with it. I just needed a pickup truck. Even though I love my new truck, I still miss my Genesis.

I have had this sedan since 75k, I have now diven it 2 years and 30,000 miles. I have loved this car since first drive. The silence in the cabin, the comfort of the ride while still being quite stiff around corners. It has the perfect balance between comfort and control. I always love driving Cadillac because it was like driving a cloud, but you never really got the control you wanted out of the larger sedan. The Genesis does it the best, and the power from the 4.6L V8 is amazing. You don't even notice you are going 80 miles an hour and arrive their effortlessly. On the interstate I get around 30 mpg, city about 18. The navigation/radio system is a little complex at first, but once you get it, it is the best for keeping you focused on the road.

The car is a real beauty, with lots of nice features, the sound system is great, the gas mileage on the highway is exactly what is on the sticker. My only complaint so far is with the leather seats. I have had the car for 1 month, and have put on 1700 miles, and the drivers seating surface is stretched, and appears puffy, not tightly stretched like when i bought it. I took it back to a dealer, and the service manager showed other vehicles with the same leather seats doing the same thing. I would think for the price of the vehicle, the leather seating would not look sloppy and loose in such a short time. The dealer I bought the vehicle from was great to deal with.

I purchased this car at 20,000 miles. It now has 35,000 miles. Within 1 month of purchase, I noticed the breaks got squishy. They issued a recall for having used bad break fluid which ruined the breaks. Within 6 months, my alignment started pulling to the right. The Hyundai mechanic drove it and agreed that he noticed the pull. Was called next day and told "nothing was wrong, we dont notice any pulling". It's still pulling to the right... The rear tail lights got moisture inside, had to have Hyundai dealership replace lights. The engine light came on, made appointment. Within a week the car wouldnt even start up. "Bad fuel line". Great car, when not being serviced!!

Purchased 2010 3.6 new in Jan. 2010, after 7 months I am pretty happy overall but not without complaints. Radio/stereo with combined navigation on screen suffers from poor design, too many clicks required to do simple tasks like view then change radio station. Voice recognition software not great, will only turn off using the specific word, "suspend", otherwise won't go off and no manual off option. Driving and ride excellent after 7 months and 6,000+ miles, no repairs or squeaks. Dealer had to update nav software, and now must replace tilt wheel and seat memory chip. Dealer has great service, Hyundai customer serv. great! Overall, excellent vehicle, top warranty (10 yr) Paid $38k pre tax.

This is a lovely car, a big cruiser with a soft ride yet sticky enough for cornering. Quiet cabin, very nicely appointed, with a great stereo. A/C is slow to reach desired temps, so beware on hot days. Was expecting more from the high beams, they just don't throw enough light. My car still had the original nav software - dealers need to be more educated on updates. Ignore the voice command capability, too complex, you will never use it. Lastly, forget about logo envy - if you can find a nice, clean car like I did, buy it before someone else does, and enjoy the savings.

This car is much roomier than a Mercedes E class or BMW 5-series and has better features. Handling is not quite as good as its German rivals but cost is far less. I'm about 6 ft tall and find both of its German rivals very short on back seat legroom. It has more than ample power (using regular gas) and still gets 27-28 mpg on trips. As for complaints, it does not go in the snow and resale value is poor. Sold the car a few months ago after seven years. Had issues with back-up camera not functioning and glitches in the phone connection. Some alignment issues and had to add a "camber kit" to make that adjustment. Other than those issues and it not going well in snow (use all season tires but it really needs snow tires), the car has been very nice and my wife was sad to see it go. I would certainly buy another in the future but with AWD.

I typically write my reviews after a MUCH longer period of time. But i've decided to write a review now and then come back maybe in a year and compare / update my thoughts. I was forced into the market due to a total loss on my 2005 Toyota Avalon. I was going for a BMW or something and decided it was not yet quite time for such a luxury car. After some research and reviews, I decided to check out the Hyundai Genesis. In a nutshell I am NOT disappointed after my choice. I feel this car is very much a premium car and it might not yet be at the same level as a BMW or Lexus or Mercedes, but it will get there soon maybe even there with the later year Models. It's winter now and I am reminded why I wanted heated seats, they work so well, I usually turn down after a few minutes. Almost the only item I miss is my 2005 Avalon Limited had remote start which this does not so I have to remember to start the car if I want it to heat up, but again with the heated seats, that is not much of an issue. I am yet to fully test its traction and stability but in the little snow I drove in, it was fine. I got a V8 with the tech package, Nav, rear view camera et al. Where has this been all my driving life! LOL One strange thing I noticed is when it started snowing one day, the parking assist was going crazy! beeping every few minutes, I had to turn it off. I think it is so sensitive it was picking up snowflakes! Its another feature i love, so aside from the back up camera, the parking assist notifies you on the front and back when you get too close to an object, including your front and back left and right areas. Very useful when trying to get into tight parking spaces. Thus far my only issue is my bluetooth seems to drop the connection sometimes in the middle of a call. I actually think that has to do with my phone. But a plus on that is I can pair both my work and home cell phones to the car and switch as needed. Oh another con is I would like to update the NAV but can't seem to figure out how to do that, I guess a dealer visit is needed... will i have to do this every YEAR!??? I can write much more, it will be much more positive rather than negative. Now I wonder what my first dealer experience will be... Oh my, I hope and pray... Oh Hyundai if you EVER read this, Can you figure out how to give us the option to have Android Auto installed on these models as well???

I have owned my 2010 Titanium/Black 4.6 Tech for 6 weeks and it no less than impressive in just about every area. Looked at 2011 BMW 535/550, BMW 335, Infiniti G37, 2011 Infiniti M37, 2010 Mercedes E350/550, Genesis V6, Ford Taurus SHO, and others. Kept coming back to the Genesis V8 for the power, execution, features, and overall value. This is an outstanding automobile. Fit and finish is impressive, the drivetrain is awesome, and the Tech pack goodies cannot be beat. In my opinion, the 4.6 was much more car and a better value than the V6 (3.8). Buying experience was totally painless ($38K). I am extremely pleased with my Genesis and would purchase the same vehicle over again.

Thoroughly enjoy driving the Genesis every time I get behind the wheel. Nice performing engine; very well coordinated with the smooth-shifting transmission. Terrific balance of handling and ride. Extraordinary value as compared to the prestige brands. Have owned all the other guys and drove there latest offerings. Genesis is a supremely sophisticated car for a lot less money. Love the car, love the multitude of "what kind of car is that?" questions, love the compliments. A truly rewarding driving experience and I feel smarter every day...

I just bought my Genesis today. I was not able to test drive the car I bought since it was in the showroom. On the way home the glare and reflections from the panel above the glove box actually gave me vertigo. When I went online to view the interior pictures, the car pictured does not have the shiny panel. I am taking the car back tomorrow. I don't know if they can swap out the panel for one without the glare or not. I like the car otherwise. Has anyone experienced this problem? I am very disappointed because I love the car otherwise.

On normal acceleration at about 1800 rpm there is an engine noise. The dealer service mgr and factory rep have heard this noise and say it is a piston slap due to phenolic piston skirts. I wrote the company and they agree but say it does not effect the engine. Maybe not but it effects my hearing as I have to turn up radio not to hear it. I am sorry I traded in my M35 for this car.

Driving: the car drives very good - it compares to much more expensive cars like Audi, Mercedes (not BMW's stiff ride which I do not like). Interior comfort is very good, soft leather seats (that need a bit more support). Lots of rear seat room for 3 adults. I have the tech package and to use the radio you must go through the "mouse" hand control -- unsafe when driving & miserable when it could be so easy with standard controls---same with navigation system (give us the "touch screen also Hyundai), but it does have a Nice big screen. My gas mileage is averaging 21 mpg - good for this size car. Consumer reports says reliability is only average on the v-8

This car is a winner. I loved my Acura RL - unfortunately totalled in an accident. Drove Merc E, BMW 5, Lexus GS, etc. If all the same price I would buy this car. More leg room than a BMW 750i, quieter cabin than a Merc S class, same HP, acceleration and MPG as a Lexus LS460. Linear torque curve & loads of power. 10 yr warranty & under $40k w/ V8 & tech pkg. Wow. What an incredible value. The topper is the xclt build quality & refinement, worthy of a Lexus. Minor complaints - should have more wood trim inside (they're probably holding back to not outshine the upcoming Equus). The suspension is well tuned but transmits a little too much input to the passengers when on imperfect roads.

That says it all. Blown Away. One doesn't have to say "for the price" when comparing to the Infiniti, Lexus or Benz, all of which I test drove and in the case of Infiniti, owned, prior to buying the Genesis. I bought the 3.8 after driving both, and figured the 6 to be plenty for my 48 years. Maybe at 25 I've have opted for the 8, but at 25 I probably would've chosen something a little sportier. Bags of room, bags of features. Nav is great, but will probably take some studying of the manual to work it all out. I need to learn to skip over paragraphs that tell you how to insert a CD, and the like! Overall, very pleased and impressed.

The Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8L 2010 has been a good car overall, after 105000 miles. What you should be aware of is repair or replacement costs on some of this car. The headlights (which are very good? require full replacement, not just a $40 bulb. One headlight will run you $320 installed. Similar story for the required snow tires. This rear wheel drive car is not usable in any snow conditions unless one installs snow tires. With snows on it handles exceptionally well. Snow tires for this car cost $250 each. Such costs are similar to costs of a BMW or a Mercedes, as quality is matched but so are maintenance costs. I hesitate to consider a new replacement Genesis for my new car, despite loving my current one. Update,..June 28, 2016, after approx. 140,000 miles Car engine was somehow leaking/mixing oil and coolant together. Two mechanics checked out said it is very expensive fix due to labor ($4-5k). Sold car due to this problem, I had planned on keeping car 7-10 years. HYUNDAI wouldn’t help with warranty as was after 100,000 miles. I went from Hyundai’s biggest fan and proponent to their biggest naysayer and unhappy customer. I would not buy another HYUNDAI. If you can, spend the extra $2-3k and get a HONDA or Toyota. You won’t regret it! Replaced Hyundai with older Mercedes and it has been fantastic, no problems and is a great car. Also purchased a new Honda, and it goes without saying, but I will, unbelievable car in every aspect.

Good, but not Excellent

I bought the Genesis, in part, based on my experience with the Sonata. Unfortunately, the quality did not repeat itself. In the first year, the drivers seat mechanism, collision detection sensors and steering wheel adjustment motor failed. The dealership did a great job of 'making it right', but the Hyundai Motor America customer service response was lacking. However, for the price, the car is loaded with features, drivers great, is quiet and good looking. The A/C programming algorithms could use some work. I got the smaller engine and still have problems keeping it under 80 mph. My only disappointment is that the quality of this car doesn't match my previous Hyundai experience.

There must be two Genesis sedans

Hyundai must build two different Genesis sedans. The one I own certainly does not live up to the hype. I have owned 3 great Toyota Avalons prior to buying my Hyundai. I sure wish that I would have spent more time trying it out! A BIG MISTAKE! Toyota's concern about cars being produced rather than cars already in the hands of customers really ticked me off! Problems that I have with my Genisis are as follows: 1. Extreme engine noise when accelerating from a stop. Sounds like pinging, but its not. 2. Loud drone from rear sean when fuel get to 1/4 tank. 3. Steering wheel won't park at times. 4. Glove box won't open at times. 5. Tire noise. 6. Ft.Pass say seat too low. way too low

I rented this car from Avis for a week while on vacation. It had less than 4,000 miles on it. It has a buffeting noise that is really irritating when you are on winding roads, I don't think extensive wind tunnel testing was done on this car. My car also had a built in GPS and it was the worst GPS I have ever worked with. I had to put my Tom Tom in to get anywhere reliably. There is no power outlet in the rear of the car, I was traveling with my family and one power outlet is not enough for us. I have owned Audis, Acuras and Infinities. The Genesis is a good value for the money but they are still not in the same class as the more expensive brands.

This has to be the worst vehicle I've owned. I am a long time Hyundai lover, but what happened here? Not only does the momma vehicle not come close to what I've gotten used to by driving a few years old luxury car for a much lower price range than they're asking for this, but I've had to deal with a ridiculously bad Lithia Hyundai service department. My advice- save some money and buy a Subaru with every option available. Or spend the same amount on a Volvo. The performance on these cars is amazing! This car may be pretty and loaded; but you're still buying a Hyundai.

Price: you get so much more for what you pay for in this car, compared to others such a Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, etc.--- truly a great deal. Looks: I see people give this car looks all the time, and some people ask me about it, saying they really like it. Features in navigation screen: easy to learn. Heated 2 front seats and cooled drivers seat: works so well and keeps you so comfortable. Features: --rear window sun screen - I like it! --superb radio - complete quality. --memory drivers seat: controlling outside mirrors also. I will move up to the Hyundai Equus (the next higher model) next year. I have seen it, and it is even better yet than the Equus, but also more money ($56,000).

If any car deserves all 10's - this is the one. Clearly an incredible value. The suspension - so much talked about - is in the 2010 V8 excellent (we have also tested a 2009 V6 - it was a bit sloppy). If to describe it in one word - it is "supple". It certainly does not absorb all the road's imperfections - in terms of the road feel it is very transparent. It is always a judgment call - if you like to float over bumps - this one only does a so so job. The steering is precise, the body is rigid, the feel is amazing.

Like most of current Genesis owners, I was skeptical about buying a $40,000 Hyundai car. But after reading so many positive reviews and test driving for 30 minutes, I took a leap of faith and bought a Genesis. I have 2000 miles under my belt and I love every mile of it. I have the technology package (Please do yourself a favor and get the package) Smart cruise control is a must if you spend a lot of time on the freeway. Even after driving for 4 hours straight, I don't feel tired because of the comfortable ride and smart cruise control of the Genesis. If you were skeptical about spending $40,000 to buy a Hyundai like me, have a faith. This car is a real deal.

Excellent quality. Very smooth ride. Quiet. Very responsive engine and transmission. Excellent braking. Handles very well. Needs better OEM tires. Tires tend to develop flat spot when car sits up for a while. Smooths out after driving several miles. Needs cooled passenger seat, power folding exterior mirrors, possibly heated rear seats. Overall not bad at all. Can't be beat for the price and quality.

I looked at Audi, BMW, Infiniti and Lexus before test driving the Hyundai Genesis. The Lexus was the only car that was slightly more comfortable, but did not perform as well as the Genesis. It is comfy, smooth, quite and has everything I could ever want at an unbelievable price. It is amazing and I am constantly turning heads. I like to think it is because of my beauty, but I know it is the car! ;o)

We've owned the car for nearly a month and it's been great! Fabulous highway and city driving. Decent fuel efficiency for the engine size (V6). Very smooth and quiet ride. The interior leather and finishes are beautiful. Everyone asked why we bought a Hyundai (had looked at CPO Infiniti and BMW). After they ride in it, they don't require an answer.

Start looking for a slightly used Benz. We have had Benz's for 20 years and they have been great cars. Read the reviews on the Genesis and decided to look and drive. We found it very comparable to an E Type for $20K less. Great interior chocked with all the goodies. Handles well though steering is a little too sensitive on center and goes like H--for a 6 cyl. The wife loves it after driving her S Type for years. Great Buy!

I looked at the Taurus, LaCrosse and 300 before deciding on the Genesis. Ride, quality, performance are all top notch. Hyundai's done an outstanding job with this car. It should be on every car buyer's list. People stop and ask me about in Range Rovers and BMWs all the time--I say yes...it's a Hyundai!

Traded my 2006 Infiniti for the 2010 Genesis 4.6 Sedan. The Genesis has exceeded my expectations and requirements in every way. The fit and finish, the comfort, the level of equipment. The vehicle is not lacking in any area. Although the EPA rating is 17/25, my experience has been 20/29. This car absolutely provides the most bang for the buck. You must drive this car before purchasing a Lexus, Infiniti, or Acura! It will very pleasantly surprise you.

Luxury & Performance at This Price?

My last 2 cars were an Infiniti and previously, an Acura. I go through cars every 3 years by choice so I'm pretty discriminating. After replacing my wife's SUV last year with a Hyundai Veracruz, we really fell in love with Hyundai. So when it came time to give up my G35, I was excited about the new Genesis. I looked at BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus, but like the Veracruz, I am shocked and overwhelmed by the level of luxury appointments, features, and performance that you get for the money in the Genesis. Family and friends that know how much I like cars were shocked when I came home with a Hyundai. But after one ride, I have many of them asking me for the salesman's name at the dealership!

The sleek design and high quality is what first caught my attention. I test drove the Lexus 350, BMW 5 series, and Mercedes E-class, as well as the Audi 6. All nice cars but the Genesis sedan seem to borrow the best from each in styling and performance, easily matching and often exceeding performance. Lexus products (owned a few), are getting stale in design with little change in years. Same goes for the other makers, although Mercedes has some beautiful models out there. Final decision on the Genesis came after test driving all of them. It's nice to know that I will no longer have to pay inflated maintenance costs that the other brands love to charge (something rarely spoke of here).

Only had my vehicle for a few days now and so far in comparison to my 2009 Azera Limited the two cars are night and day to each other in every way. I thought my Azera was a great car overall, besides the suspension being very bad on it and chewing up tires every 12k miles (2 sets in 4 months) with proper maintenance. The Genesis feels rock solid over all types of road conditions and soaks up the imperfections gracefully. Mine has the Tech package (04) and the Premium package (02) with a price of $41k less discounts. This car is in a class of cars costing $20-25k more with the impressive list of features on-board. So far a very happy owner, hopefully for many more years! :)

Was looking to buy a new MB E350 but after test driving both the E350 & Genesis several times, doing alot of research, and for exactly $16k less, traded my '07 MB E350 w/65k miles (our 7th MB) for the 4.6/V-8. Every single aspect of the Genesis, except for the cruise control, exceeds the E350-new or old. The comfort of the seats, cabin noise level, ride, and navi/audio system are standout improvements & were factors that swayed me. My wife has a '10 MB SUV but we prefer the comfort of the Genesis. I drive a lot and hope the integrity, performance, & depreciation of the Genesis stands up to the wear/tear of the miles. Get past the brand issue-appears to be great value in a nice car!

I have had my 4.6 (tech package and every option available) for less than 2 months and so far I have nothing but the highest praise for this car. It's fun tor drive, loads of power in comparison to the 350 MB and 350 LX that I test drove before choosing the Genesis. The nav system is easy to use and the audio system is definitely comparable with the systems in cars costing thousands more. I plan to drive to Miami in June which will give me a chance to test it on a long drive. So far, I am extremely pleased with the car and happy that I chose it over the MB/LX. GREAT CAR FOR THE MONEY!!!

Have owned the Genesis for about two weeks and thus far have been very pleased. One of my co-workers stopped by my office the other day and asked, "How do you like the new Lexus?" When I replied that it was a Hyundai he had an expression of disbelief, as if I were making a joke. One of my wife's friends told her that she had driven by our house, had seen the car in the driveway, and asked if we had bought a BMW. She too was surprised upon being told it was a Hyundai. Our other car is a Lexus and I will admit that the Lexus has a slightly smoother ride; however, the Hyundai Genesis has more comfortable seats. We feel that we have gotten a lot of bang for the buck with this purchase.

Just brought my 4.6 w/ Technology package home last week. I have to say, my wife and I are giddy with our choice. Had a hard time finding a performance sedan at a reasonable price. Drove a lot of cars, this one was the hands down winner. I LOVE to drive it! I will say the road test reviews that describe poor ride/handling on broken pavement are 100% correct. You definitely feel some unwelcome lateral movement, verging on loss of control when you come across some broken roadway. But so far, that is the only drawback. She is a wonderful highway cruiser, and the sense of refined power from the purr of that V-8 is amazing. For the price, you cannot beat this sedan. (Coming from a Pontiac GXP!)
