Used 2019 Honda Odyssey Minivan Consumer Reviews
amazing
More room ,more comfort, better gas mileage and looks better than a boxy SUV. This is our fifth Odyssey since 2003.I have owned Odysseys since 2003, and would have nothing else.

It’s OK
So we’ve had a 2019 Honda Odyssey Touring as a company vehicle for the past year. I’ve driven it a lot. The powertrain is definitely the highlight of the van, it’s smooth and responsive. It’s fast. Has a nice ride as well. But that’s where it ends, the interior is dated, the materials aren’t up to par with the competition and the infotainment is a disaster. Seats are flat and not comfortable for long drives. The ventilated seats don’t really work and the heated seats turn off really quick. Issues we’ve had is the infotainment stops working after a couple hours esp with Apple CarPlay. Sometimes the power sliding doors don’t close properly. Whenever I’m coming around a bend on a road and there’s an oncoming car the van beeps multiple times and “BRAKE” flashes on the dash. Does it think I’m gonna crash? It’s incredibly distracting and not acceptable. Radar guided cruise control is just annoying. In any vehicle. The worst thing of all is it’s terrible on fuel. Driving 300 kilometres uses over half a tank, I always have to refuel on my trip back which is annoying. All in all, the Chrysler Pacifica, Kia Carnival, Toyota Sienna are all better options and offer better value.

Not a Good Example of a Honda
We purchased this car exactly one year ago. It took an act of God to get my wife into a mini-van and she was actually excited to purchase this car. It was also our first new car purchase as a family. Over the last 12-months we have had the Odyssey (EXL Navi/RES) at our local dealer service 7 times, a few of them over night or for a few days. First issue started around 3,500 miles when the SRS System went haywire and the car essentially went into “limp home mode” by limited the rev to 2,500rpm. Brought it in and had the whole system replaced. After that its been a slew of issues, from the anti-theft being tripped by a faulty battery, door motor being fixed, third row seats have had to been replaced twice due to the latch breaking, gear shift buttons were replaced, and on and on. I am not happy about this at all. Although the dealership has been very accommodating and has done everything to resolve the issues. We are currently attempting to get Honda to trade us out, but have not had success.

My Odyssey in Buying a Honda
The Odyssey is a wonderful car. Our dealer was also a big reason we bought the car and were happy with the experience. You always want to get the best deal - and you really never know yet I think we both left incredibly happy with the end result. The information attained throughout Edmunds was incredibly valuable. They knew we did our homework, networked and were knowledgeable. We would not have been without your insights - Thank You and keep up the good work.

Sluggish
I have had 2 other previous Honda mini vans, the 2014 EX-L, which i Traded in for the 2016 EX-L and a few months back I traded that one in for the 2019-ELITE, I had very high hopes but the first thing I noticed is its very sluggish at take off, when for example taking off from a stopped position, I have to press the the accelerator more than usual and all of a sudden it takes off faster than planned. another problem i noticed is that the wireless charger doesn't really work too well, on a long trip, the phone heats up more than it charges. I don't use the navigation much but on a long trip its a bit annoying that you can not change your destination while the car is moving, I understand its a safety feature but its annoying . i will be driving and my wife is trying to input a destination so we end up just using google maps. ***UPDATE*** 03/11/2020, Its been about a year, still sluggish, I haven't gotten used to it, other than that a great car, love everything else about it besides acceleration .
