We leased this 2025 Sport-L hybrid AWD based on the positive reviews we'd read and watched. We now have an extreme case of buyer's remorse! Firstly, at freeway speeds, the wind noise in this $41,000 SUV is atrocious! It sounds like gravel is rattling around inside the roof. Turning up the radio helps drown out the noise a little but c'mon Honda, are you telling me your engineers didn't sort this crap out before releasing the car for production? Secondly, the gas mileage we are getting is NOWHERE near what was published. A mix of mostly city with some highway is netting us 29-30mpg, and that is in Econ mode too. We've now passed the 1000 mile break-in period and the mileage is not improving. We have various other rattles in the car. Honda is supposed to be a highly regarded brand. So unhappy that we bought this hunk of junk. And now we're stuck with it for the next 3 years. Others report that the car is easy to steal. Well, we hope ours goes missing! Strongly recommend that you don't buy this vehicle. Go elsewhere. Wish we'd bought the Toyota RAV4!

Two or three cabin details kept me from purchasing a new CR-V. They include the lack of choice in interior color, the driver’s seat and the steering wheel

Honda 2025 CRV hybrid review mileage stinks

we bought this car based on driving in the city and says the mileage it's up to 43 miles per gallon in the city. but my wife's been driving it for over a week and can't get past 26 in the city we don't even drive on the highway that much. very disappointed in this car yes it looks good drives good but we bought it based on mileage now we're stuck with it. then we look up other reviews about the mileage and it says well if you take weight out of the car don't use the heat don't stop and go which is City then you can save some mileage where it says none of that on the sticker on the car. and don't drive over 65. this car is false advertising somewhere down the road somebody got 43 in the city but driving it 45 miles to the hour under circumstances that are not normal so they put that on the sheet. next time I won't buy a hybrid and I might even trade this one off you can't be just gas.

Why must I buy the top trim to get a heated steering wheel and an integrated navigation system? Also, no HomeLink to program a garage door opener! Adding these would make my rating a 5 star.

After owning a 2004, 2007, 2017 and now a 2025 I have to say we cant stay away. Our kids grew up with one and we gave our daughter one when she went to college and as we are now empty nesters we still love the convenience and quality of these vehicles. The first vehicle we owned when we got married with a Honda Civic WagOVan which was the precursor to the Honda Civic Recreational Vehicle. We got it used for $500 with 70k miles and a cracked windshield a floor based stick. still miss that vehicle. Looking forward to many years with the 2025!

This is my 7th Honda and my third CR-V. The Sport Touring is loaded with safety features and other perks such as a heated steering wheel, Bose sound system, and the list goes on and on. The reliability, performance, and style of Honda vehicles are unsurpassed. I have never had a major service issue with any of my previous cars.

Love my new 2025 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring

After 2 weeks ownership, I like the way it rides and handles, and the electronic safety features. I like that I can change the locking/unlocking methods, the following distance for the active cruise control, when the headlights come on, and the display organization. There are likely more customizations available, but I haven't found them yet. And most important for me is the good headroom. At 6’-7” I don’t fit in a lot of vehicles. I don’t fit in the similar Toyota, Lexus, and Mazda SUVs, but the CR-V has the headroom I need. My only dislike is the organization of the owners manual, both the paper version and on-line, as it makes it difficult to search/find settings and how to change them.

I have had many Hondas over the years. It does handle well on the road but it's slow to speed up. It feels bigger than older models which I don't care for since I am short. Technology doesn't always work. It loses connection quite a bit. Speakers are average.

In December my 2024 CRV Sport Hybrid Touring was totaled with just under 10,000 miles on it. I replaced it with an identical 2025 model. The reason I did that is because I loved the first one with one exception. The horn. The first time I used it I thought it sounded exactly like a bicycle horn. Fortunately that has been changed in the 2025 edition. It is so comfortable and easy to drive. I have no trouble making a weekly trip to Costco and H‑E‑B for seven people including three teenagers. I am able to get multiple cases of water, large snack boxes and all kinds of other bulky groceries in the back. I also like the exterior styling. It is so much better looking than previous generations of CRVs. The 19 inch wheels help with the overall appearance. I kept track of my mileage on both cars. The worst was around 30 the best 37 with the average around 33. The worst was high speed driving with a 75 mile per hour limit with 80 the norm. It gets its best mileage 30 to 55 mph. This is the best car I have ever owned. I am no kid and I have owned a lot of cars and trucks. If your looking for a not so small, small SUV take a long hard look at this one.

We have an old Honda so we're encouraged to buy another. First week issues make me think longer test ride next time or rent one for a week. Tire Pressure System - really just an idiot light Infotainment system and Android works poorly. Passenger power seat is terrible. No spare tire - was not a concern until second day car show like pressure low for no reason. No garage door opener? Hyundai we traded had better features

I am not getting the EPA rated MPGs, no matter how I drive. The car feels cheaply made, the materials are disappointing, seats horrible. The worst of all are the LED headlights. My 2016 with halogens has better visibility than these Honda LEDs. They are so weak, do not light up the road properly. If it is raining, then it looks like they are not even on. This is a safety hazard. Common Honda, fix this. Why can't you put in headlights like the ones on Acuras?I would not recommend this car. Thank God this is a lease and not purchase.

I knew exactly what I wanted and the price that I was willing to pay. This Honda CRV Sport Hybrid is fun to drive, has enough power for my needs, and looks sharp both inside and out. I didn't need many of the additional options of the higher models for the price. The driving power is smooth and if I want an additional boost, there is always the Sport mode. Most of the time I just drive in the Normal mode. Heated seats are fantastic in the PA winter but I picked the cloth option for seating because it's a bit more comfortable getting in on hot summers. I did my research so I can't think of anything I don't like. But, if you want super stereo sound and a bigger infotainment system. go up to the top model (if you're willing to add the $$$).

Glad it's my wife's vehicle

We purchased this for my wife replacing her 2015 CRV. She loves it. I do not, specifically for three reasons: 1) The driver's seat is uncomfortable to say the least. No amount of adjusting will make it any better. It feels like you are squashed in the seat and it kills my back. Also, I constantly feel like I'm tilted back and straining to see over the hood. 2) I still have not figured out how to dim the dash lights. I've tried every suggestion I can find on the Internet and still can't figure it out. There is no "light control knob" on the dash, which is what a lot of people suggested. When I try to adjust it on the screen display nothing I do will get it to switch over to night time mode (moon symbol). Why did Honda have to make it such a pita? And finally, 3) The rear cargo space SHRUNK. I need more cargo space, not less. I've come to the conclusion that this vehicle was designed for little old ladies and [non-permissible content removed] and that's it. There is absolutely no way I would purchase one for myself. It blows.

I just leased a Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring, and love it. The exterior is a rich, deep grey, and the interior is black leather with orange stitching...very sharp! Heated front seats, heated steering wheel, driver and passenger can adjust their own heat/ac to comfort. The touch screen and navigation system are very user friendly. It handles well and is quite roomy for a small SUV. Love the hands-free rear hatch lift! Sweet ride.

Tire pressure

The only way to check your tire pressure is with a tire gauge, which is absolutely ridiculous this day and age. When you get a low tire warning you have no way of knowing which tire is low. My equinox LT had the ability to check air pressure and told you which tire was low. There was also I feature that told you the tire was flat or damaged I loved this feature on the Equinox. I always want to check my tire pressure before I hit the road around town on when traveling out of town. Honda needs to add this feature

Honda's bean counters won.

Honda's bean counters won. Like, I have 28,000 miles on my 2025 CR-V EX-L and, compared to my previous (and excellent ) 6 Honda CR-V's, this one is comlparable to an economy-built KIA. Stay with me, my complaints are many, starting with its habit of the vehicle slowly but predictably wandering all over the highway at speed: left ... right ... left. The steering control unit helps (the car still wanders, but rebukes the painted lines), but makes the steering wheel turn like that of a 1940s Farmall Tractor. I read that some women refuse to drive it -- afraid -- with that cumbersome correctional device engaged. Trouble is, you can't predict when its going to wander, so intense steering attention is necessary in high traffic situations. And yes, yes, the tire pressure and alignment have been checked. Alignment three times, twice by the dealer and once by an independent. No fix. I intend to trade it soon, looking for a low mileage 2016 CR-V. The "Entertainment Center" is amazingly entertaining and quite possibly the entertaining distraction behind many accidents. Truth is, it features a cheap screen ($22 wholesale?) that Blue Tooth links to your smartphone. And, it disconnects often, or sometimes just goes screwball. You find yourself angrily punching two-dozen buttons. While driving. Doesn't work if you leave your smart phone at home. Ask me. Don't do that. And the Google GPS? Pretty, but not always; and not nearly as good as Garmin. The very worst part is that Google's system spawns from Internet connections. Garmin is satelite connected; it works in remote areas, even dirt road areas. Google doesn't. It has gone blank and left us guessing may times ... like remote earthen roads in northeaster New Mexico, farm roads at night in Oklahoma, mountain roads, at night, in mountainous Appalachia. Ask us. Headlights are worthless on rainy nights, especially on narrow roads with oncoming traffic. Raining? Travelling? Get a hotel before sunset. Factory tires are cheap, thin, and puncture easy. And tire shop salespersons rejoice at telling you one flat tire requires your purchase of four new tires. With on-demand, short-use rear-wheel activation? I'd like to talk to Honda's drive-train engineers. It has racecar front seats, those with high side cushions designed to hold you in place during race track cornering. Sadly, they're uncomfortable, painfully uncomfortable, on long road trips. The left seat-bottom riser cuts into your leg and restricts blood flow. After a couple of highway hours yiour left leg hurts. The key fob? Get this, it costs $149 to $459 and the key fob attachment link, the one that hooks on to your key chain, is on the fob's removable key. That key is removed from the fob device by simply pressing a side button. I learned this after noticing a lost key fob on a restaurant floor. It was mine. (The other half, i.e., the manual key, remained attached to my key ring.) The underhood maze is terrifying -- pipes and tubes everywhere. And, frankly, the expensive and historically troublesome turbo engine doesn't perform any better than Honda's previous -- and highly dependable -- 2000cc naturally aspirated engines. Get's about the same mileage. Glovebox is miniature, won't hold an extra donut without smearing the sprinkles. What do I like? Well, it is pretty.

Generally I like the car. It is not very exciting to drive but is okay. My biggest complaint is the orange color of the dipstick. It makes it impossible to detect the oil level. I check my oil frequently out of habit as I have always done. I think if they had just used an all metal dipstick with crosshatch pattern in the operating range or maybe yellow if they have to use the stupid plastic on the dipstick!

Very impressed with the hybrid system. Stealthily transitions between gas to electric smoothly. I like the exterior design and love the interior dashboard. It is smooth, quite and responsive. It oozes with quality.

Style inside and out is great. Comfortable seats. All controls easy to understand and use. Test drive on bumpy city streets was very good, bumps handled well. Quiet ride even over rough streets. Didn't try highway driving, but expect it would also be comfortable and easy to control

So far, I've been very impressed with my new CR-V. Comparing it to the Lexus RX450h that I traded in, the sound system is better, it handles great, better backup camera, it seems to run more on the hybrid batteries, improving the gas mileage, many great features (auto lock, different drive modes, etc). Haven't figured out all of the bells and whistles yet.

A pleasure to drive. It is a smaller SUV but drives and handles smooth without the noisy engine asserted by the Edmunds review. Unless you put the pedal to the floor, then the engine will rev up and let you know you’re moving. Acceleration is good. Interior noise level on the highway is not bad for a small SUV. MPG for the latest 400 miles of mixed highway and city is 40.3 MPG. As advertised.
