Nice Ride
I loved everything about the CRV except the fact that Honda is now using a turbo engine. Once this engine has been tested for a longer period of time I would feel comfortable purchasing the CRV. I opted to buy a RAV4 instead.

Vanilla Grocery Getter
I have driven a couple hundred miles in my CRV on large interstate roads and could not be more disappointed. The comfort level of this vehicle is terrible compared to standard midsize sedans. First off, the acceleration in this vehicle is terrible, I have difficulty passing vehicles and merging onto expressways without mashing the throttle to the ground. Besides this, turbo lag from the L15B7 and the CVT transmission causes a slight delay in acceleration before the car takes off. Granted this is my first turbo charged car I have ever owned, but my previous Hyundai Sonata with the GDI naturally aspirated engine had much better response than this vehicle. Secondly, the ride quality of this vehicle is a major problem as well. I live in upstate New York and the winter season causes major potholes to be formed. This car does not handle these pot holes well and the rough ride causes an issue keeping the vehicle under control at average speeds of 70 mph on highways. The rough ride is especially emitted from the steering rack up into the steering wheel as I can "recite" the whole road including every crack and hole through holding the steering wheel. The third issue I had with the vehicle was road noise. Honda has always been known for having excessive road noise in their early 2000s vehicles. However, it's 2020 shouldn't the vehicles be much quieter now? Boy, was I wrong. The wind noise and road noise was constantly droning into the cabin causing me to constantly turn up or down the volume of the radio with different road surfaces. The fourth issue I had with the vehicle was how cheaply made it is. Yes, you can blame me for purchasing the base LX, nevertheless this is a $26k car couldn't it be possible to add in basic features like a larger size infotainment screen, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, and a power drivers seat. Also, stepping into this vehicle just feels like a mere rental car, there is no feeling of comfort at all. In this price range Honda should have taken the basic dash and infotainment system from the Honda Accord LX and fitted it into the CRV. Now onto the few good parts of the vehicle I found. I thought the handling in this car was well, while chucking the vehicle into canyon curves the body roll was at a minimal for a compact SUV which would translate well into entering on or exiting off of highway ramps with a slightly faster speed. Also, in normal driving D setting in the transmission, the vehicle does a good job keeping you in the power ban and maintaining good fuel economy as well. If you want to have a little fun putting the vehicle in S mimics the "shifts" in a conventional automatic transmission and does a overall good job. Another good thing I found about the vehicle was the visibility of the vehicle, the short hood and high driving position gives you a commanding view of the road. Also, blind spots were at a minimum in this vehicle making it easy to make lane changes or drive in dense traffic areas. This translates to another good thing about this vehicle is its ease to drive. It is a VERY easy car to drive, the steering wheel is small and the car is very predictable making this a perfect first car for any teenager or even a first SUV owner. Honda also is very smart with the practicality of this vehicle. The amount of space in the front and second row is good and the trunk gives you a massive amount of space for a compact SUV to haul any luggage or groceries. Finally, the last positive thing I found was that Honda sensing is standard across the whole lineup. The LKAS (lane keep assist system) worked very well and actually helped me prevent an accident when I was adjusting the infotainment screen information while driving on a curvy road. In conclusion, this vehicle is no sports car, its not comfortable, its not luxurious, and it does NOT do anything remotely close to being fun. This car gives no sense of emotion at all while driving it, it is literally as boring as plain vanilla ice cream. All I think about while driving this vehicle is when can I get to my destination and run my errands. It is no more than a mere appliance that you use to travel to and from your house. If you are a college student that does not care about cars or you are someone that just wants something reliable to get you from point A to point B this is the car for you. If you are an enthusiast driver that prefers a fun practical daily driver please look elsewhere. I really hope with the next generation CRV, Honda looks into these highlighted issues and improves on their already hot selling product.

I wish it were better
After research on line and watching lots of videos, I test drove the touring model and was very impressed. I loved the styling, the full array of features, the safety, the mileage, the handling. But I did not find the seats comfortable enough and the ride just wasn't smooth enough either for even a short drive.
Reviewing our 2020 Honda CR-V
Surprised how easily we adapted to this from a small sedan. Very quiet, roomy, easy to enter and exit. Very easy to drive with more pep than expected for a 1.5 L engine.

Love my new CRV
I'm very happy with my new CRV. I shopped around, looked at other SUVs, even luxury ones and find my Honda CRV is the best value, having all the bells and whistles I could want.
