1.5L Turbo: A/C didnt work; probs w/gas mixing in
Don't buy this vehicle. Honda's had problems w/ gas mixing in oil in 2016-2018's w/ no fix in sight [class action lawsuits forming]. China did massive recall of 1.5L Turbo CR-V's. Doesn't run well in colder weather. Noxious fumes inside cab while driving due to gas/oil mixture [unhealthy for those w/multiple chemical sensitivities, elderly and small children], plus possible damage to engine itself. Google car complaints re. these issues. Lots of info out there.

Great car except for the seats.
I like everything about the car except the seats are so uncomfortable. I guess I should have done a longer test drive. This car has everything I want in a car especially all the safety features but it is so uncomfortable to drive that I don't want to even drive it more that 10 miles. If I go farther than that my back starts to ache and my right hip hurts and I just want out of the car. I've tried some cushions but they are uncomfortable also. I'm not sure what to do now.

Unbelievable
I was shopping around for the best mid size SUV for months but when I sat inane test drive the all new 2017 CRV I fell in love. It truly can be summed up in a single word ... Perfection! If your in the market for a family SUV don't hesitate or take my word or anyone else's word for it, just go drive one at your local Honda dealership and the SUV will sell itself. I have had mine for 2 weeks now and I am loving it more then any other car I have ever owned.

Really impressed
I traded my 2004 BMW X3 for the 2017 CR-V. So far I'm loving it. The X3 was a beast in terms of power so I was a little worried I was going to be left feeling underwhelmed by the CR-V. But with the CVT/turbo combination it's actually surprisingly nimble. The CVT is an unusual experience too. It happily sits in the 2000-3000 rpm range (where the power is coincidentally) for most normal driving. That pretty much means you have power on tap whenever you need it. Linear and predictable which is great. The driver and passengers seats are really comfortable and the car is crammed with useful (as well as some not so useful) technology. The adaptive cruise control with lane keeping assist really works well beyond what I would have expected. I've so far only had to fill the tank yesterday after 2 weeks and 400 miles. The trip computer is indicating an average of 31 mpg right now and it's still climbing although. I tend to do most of my miles on the I5 which is stop and go a lot of the time so that figure is actually quite impressive. The cabin is particularly roomy. We get two surfboards and gear in comfortably with way more spare room than in the X3. All in all I love my new CR-V so far! One minor niggle is that the push button on the overhead light in the cabin is stuck but I'll be leaving it in to be replaced soon so it's not worth complaining about!

Quality and Style
It's only been a month but so far I think it is well built. My grandfather used to tell me the quality of a car can be noticed in the way the doors close and it has a really nice solid feel when you close the doors. It is getting great gas mileage and when you feel like you need some pep all you have to do is shift into the sport mode otherwise leaving it in drive with the economy mode on is sufficient. I love the color blue on it! I hope the new turbo engine and the redesigned body will be reliable for many miles to come if so I will be a very happy camper!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY NEW CR-V EXL AWD
I've had my new 2017 CR-V EXL AWD for one month now. Absolutely love it. I love the new design of the CRV. Very sporty and edgy. Previously I've owned two Honda Pilots since 04 and decided to down size and get better mpg. Recently got 33 mpg on a trip and averaging 25 mpg, with a lot of city driving. Really enjoy driving this vehicle, handles very well. Not going to win any drag races with this CRV, a little sluggish from the start but I knew this going in. Going from my Pilots V6 to this 1.5 four cylinder. Interior is very roomy and luxurious. Considered the RAV4 and Mazda CX5. After a lot of research and reading/video a lot of reviews I went with the CRV. I know I made the right choice. I'm looking forward to owning this vehicle for many years. You can't go wrong with the CRV, it is definitely at the top of it's class. Have owned my CRV-EXL for seven months now. Could not have picked a better vehicle. I still absolutely love this car. Still averaging 25 MPG. Have not had any problems with my CRV. Will go for my first service at 7500 miles. Plenty of cargo room for those vacation trips. Looking forward to seeing how the CRV handles in the snow. Still loving my CRV after 13 months, avg. 27 mpg. No problems in the snow this past winter. One of the best cars I've ever owned It's been one and half years now since buying my 2017 C-RV EXL. Still loving it, everything is going well with it. Would buy it again in a heart beat. Two years plus and have had zero problems with my CRV. It's been almost 4 years and my CRV-EXL is still going strong, The only problem I've had is the original Bridgestone tires didn't last, only 25,000 miles. Replaced with Continental and I can really tell the difference. Other than the tires I've had zero other problems, love it.

Great vehicle. Great price.
Amazingly spacious. Handles very well. Excellent gas mileage. 32 mpg average in the mountains of Utah. Navigation is very good with the single exception of recognizing some named locations. Navi is excellent on addresses. The display. This CRV is very comfortable to drive for someone 6'3" and someone 5'4". Excellent value. Cross-shopped against the new VW extended Tiguan (unimpressive) and the Subaru Forester and Outback. The 2017 CRV is totally new and is much longer with much more luggage space than prior CRVs.

Not a winter time vehicle
I will be truthful as opposed to other reviews as the new has worn off. The vehicle is ok for its class but in its class are a lot of other choices that are much better. So do your homework before buying. My major complaint is the heating system and that is why i am writing this review for it has a major flaw as most honda vehicles have. The dealer says that this vehicle and the vehicle he drove to work this morning would not warm up on his way to work for the temps were in the low teens. Seems funny since my 2017 Escape that sat outside warmed up after a 1 1/2 mile drive and i was nice and toasty. The temp gauge on the crv would not get off the cold mark after sitting in our garage and a five mile drive. This was our second trip to the dealer for this problem and the second time they said it was normal. After much dispute the dealer agreed to order a thermostat which is on national backorder and install it when it comes in. Why is it on national back order? Is Honda having some issues? Oh and by the way the first time it was in the dealership the car was warmed up for 15 minutes and then it was a 10 mile drive to the dealer and we pulled in and the service person saw the low temp on the gauge.

Good Car but it has A/C issues
The A/C doesn't cool the car properly and the dealer pretends like the car has no issues. Very poor A/C.

Great vehicle except.....
I traded in my beloved Subaru outback for this vehicle in February 2018. The reason for changing was that I wanted a dealer that was closer to me. All was well for a while but then June 2019 it started having an issue with the safety suite. When I started it all the warning lights would come on and it would not move because it thought the electronic parking brake was engaged. Dealer service department said it must be a dead battery. It was not. But after fooling with the battery cables and the brake we were able to drive it. After a few miles all the warning lights went off. Took it to the dealer and they said nothing was found to be the problem. He said if it happened again have it towed in when it was happening. One week later it happened again. AAA guy came and helped me get it going and I took the car home. The next day it happened again and we had it towed. The dealer kept it for 4 days and replaced the fuel injector. All was well for a while but yesterday it would not start. AAA came and looked at it and said the battery was NOT dead. But when he jumped it it started. Drove it a couple of short trips yesterday but today it is dead again. I give up. The dealer doesn’t want to hear about my complaints, Honda nationwide customer service is uncaring and Honda roadside service wanted $165 to tow it to the dealer while AAA did it for free. (paid for by our plan). I have tried to complain to the service manager but he doesn't respond.

Careful -- Engine Problems
As other reviews here indicate, there is a major issue with the Honda 1.5 Turbo engine. We did not experience the problem but the widespread reports concerned us so we just traded our CR-V with 20,000 rather than risk the problem developing or having the trade-in value tank. We did notice the car was very slow to get up to normal temperature -- 8-10 miles in colder weather (in the low 20s). Spoke to our dealer about this issue and service manager blew the question off as no big deal. Decided not to risk what might develop with this car and went back to Toyota RAV4 which we've owned before and had good experiences. I would not suggest buying the CR-V with a turbo engine until Honda addresses the problem and if you own one seriously consider dumping it.

Coldest car I have ever owned
I live in Chicago, IL. We just started experiencing cold weather. I leave the car parked in my garage overnight, every morning I remote start it and then remote start it again 10 min later. I get in the car, the temperature gauge shows that the engine didn't heat up at all, not even 1 bar after approximately 15 min of running. The problem with this is that the car also doesn't blow hot air until the engine is heated up. I literally drove the car for 10 miles when the outside temperature was -2 F and it still didn't heat up the vehicle. I have heated seats and they do help but not enough, I hate the fact that I bought a AWD car for the winter and my main problems with it are happening during the winter. Absolutely the slowest heating car I have ever owned and if I had known that I would have never bought it. Other problems that I have experienced are with the car's entertainment system, it needs a software update. Very slow and laggy. fuel consumption is bad for me, I only get 23.2 mpg. I wish I could return the car now and get something else. Unfortunately I will be stuck with it for at least another 2.5 years until my lease is up.

CR-V EX-L = <3
Was in the market for a new smaller SUV & being a newly divorced female after 31 years, wanted something extremely reliable. Did my research online first & having had a couple of Honda Accords in the past, I was familiar with their reliability. I've had my new 2017 CR-V EX-L for a month now & even drove it on a trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama & could not be more pleased with it. It ticks all the boxes: reliable, smooth ride, comfortable, plenty of cargo space. All the bells & whistles being carefully thought out, so the driver can pay attention to driving and enjoy the ride! Got at least 33 mpg on trip. Had read an unfavorable review regarding seats being uncomfortable, but me and my passengers disagree. All seats are very comfortable!

2017 Honda CRV EX-L has a mind of its own
Bought this car after owning a 2013 Pilot and wife owns a 2015 CRV. A few of the problems I had were: creaking noise from steering wheel, mirror monitors on both sides would illuminate with no other cars were around, biggest issue was the accident mitigation(auto braking) suddenly came on with no vehicle anywhere around me. Needless to say when you car suddenly brakes for no reason(warm sunny day) that will get your attention. I traded the car in even though I lost a lot of money. I was told by the dealer that there was a TSB (technical service bulletin) out for this issue. I also found the info display hard to navigate, you spend too much time trying to find what you are looking for.

Easy in and out!
Our new CRV is the easiest to get in and out of. Do to two replacement knees and two back fushions surgeries I needed to have a vehicle that was easy to get in and out of. The head and leg room was also needed for me and I got exactly what I was looking for in a new vehicle.

No buyer's remorse
I've held off on buying a car most of my adult life, for a variety of reasons, most recently because it has been near impossible to find a vehicle that ticks off all the boxes, but also because auto technology is changing so rapidly now. But living in New England and tired of driving of failing to get hybrid Camrys and Prius Cs through the snow and ice so I can get to my clients, I realized that I couldn't let perfect be the enemy of the good, so I made a list, I checked it twice, and the CR-V came through on everything but the mileage. And, even then, it has no peers in its class. Even the RAV4 Hybrid gets a mere 10% bump, and for that you pay a premium on a base model without all the great features included in a CR-V EX. Having owned the vehicle for a month now, I don't see how I could have done better. Sure, the entertainment and settings interface is terrible, but at least it is CarPlay compatible, so I am using that most of the time, and really looking forward to seeing if that sticks around and how it develops. I like the ride height and feel of the road. The steering is solid and the wheel feels good. The adaptive cruise control is a feature I've come to really like, as well as lane departure and collision warning, none of which were available on the RAV4 hybrid. Loving having a sun roof now, too. Cargo could be a little more convenient, despite its volume. There's a ledge keeping me from laying a folded 6' table totally flat in back, even with the seats down, which is annoying. Even the hybrid Camry allowed me to lay the table flat, with room to spare on every side. But I do like the vertical height. Took advantage of it to go car camping. Because of that height, we were able to load up the back without putting down the seats. Everyone remarks at the design and the Obsidian Blue color. People can't believe it's a Honda. Neither can I. I should have seen it coming with the new HR-V style that got my attention (not a great car, but a nice design for a small SUV type vehicle), but I thought that was a one-off. Not so. I even like these wheels better than any previous CR-V model. This car went from boring and not on my list to the top of my list when it first came out, and I am not disappointed. Again, I'd love to have this exact car with better acceleration and fuel economy (mid-30s seems reachable), but until that perfect car exists, this one will definitely do, and I have no remorse about buying it with the intent to keep for a long, long time. Update as of 1/13/2018. Still happy with this purchase, though my combined mileage has dropped a bit. Still solid for this class of car. I wasn't happy about the fuel pipe recall, but it was quick and easy to replace. Prime Honda have me a Honda Fit as a loaner while they worked on the CR-V. I have also had quite a few problems with CarPlay. Some of it seems to be Apple, but the rest is definitely the car. I've used 3 different lightning cables and 3 different phones, and still I sometimes get an error that no device is connected even though it is, sometimes I can even hear the audio (podcast, music), but I only get a black screen with the Device not connected message. It usually clears up after unplugging and plugging in again, but this is too fussy. Anyway, as previously mentioned, I'm still happy with this purchase and would do it again. It has worked out great for getting over some rough roads and snow, as well as hauling my work supplies and shopping. I've had a chance to use remote engine start and heated seats this winter, and this great. It does beep rapidly sometimes when I walk away from the car, even though the engine is on, and Honda didn't know what to make of it, since they couldn't reproduce it while it was there for the recall. If the small kinks like the beeping and CarPlay were sorted out and I got 30+ MPG, I honestly can't think of what else I'd change. Great value for a cool and practical car (I can't believe I think a Honda is cool).

Obsidian blue crv
Smooth ride. Can hear some outside noise, all items are touch control, but you have a knob for volume, and some climate buttons no CD player. I wish instead of Apple car play, and such, they had a maps, navigation feature. I found out my model DOES NOT have indicator light, notifying you of needed oil change.... In winter time, for the safety feature sensors, not quite sure where they are all located but they will come on and say won't work, because of Obstruction, I had the windshield an hood clean, so not sure what it was talking about. Redesigned 2017 CR-V
This new design for the CR-V is totally exceptional, the body of the car is longer with more cargo space, but also more leg room inside. With the new added safety features for the CR-V, you feel extra safe knowing that the car is always thinking for you. So many things on the car make it a comfortable drive on a long road trip, really smooth, great power and easy to navigate the info system, still learning what is what. A lot of high tech stuff built into the console. Only had it for a month, and we are totally happy, looking forward to some road trips this summer. Update review 2/24/20: my purchase of my CR-V has been great, no regrets at all, have owned Honda cars since 1999 and never had any major problems, always did my recommend services - that's the key of keeping the car at its premium performance. They only thing I have a problem is finding the right seat covers for the CR-V, both front and rear seats, because of the side airbags for the front seats...anyone out there who can shoot me a email on we're to get some... Tks, Art - happy driving 😉

You get out of it what you put in
I was hating the engine in my CR-V until I put in better Gas. Manual says 87 or above. I ran 87 for the first 1000 miles. The engine noise was horrible. Sounded really loud and rough. I put in a tank of plus and it was transformed. Much smoother and more power. MPG was improved. I'm currently experimenting with Super which is another step change. Car feels much more 'alive' and again much more quiet. MPG seems better too. Really happy now I've figured out the engine noise.

Great vehicle at a decent price
The car is a solid offering. It's not a speed demon. Acceleration won't snap any heads. Once it gets moving it's going fast but this isn't a drag racer by any stretch. This is a very solid, well thought out, well manufactured car! I really do enjoy it. Wouldn't mind larger sun roof options but really a cosmetic quibble. **Update: After having this vehicle for a year, I'm very pleased with the purchase. It's a solid vehicle. You're not going to win the Indy 500 with this, but it provides solid gas mileage, is comfortable and solid performer. I think Honda needs to up their game on the technology appointments. It might be a little on the more expensive side, but I'm overall very happy with the purchase.

Torque Converter / Transmission
at 2000 miles we experienced slight vibration when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Dealer found the torque converter was not functioning correctly and replaced it. After researching this issue, I believe Honda has an issue with the Torque Converter / Transmission over heating to the point that the fluid is breaking down and causing other issue. (damage to: torque converter, needle bearing, solenoid) This has been in an issue in Honda models since 2005. I expressed concern to Honda of North America and I was stonewalled. I have concerns that the repair made by our dealer will not last. Torque Converters / Transmission issue should not be present for 200000 miles plus.

lots of room but poor on tires and support
We shopped around for quite awhile until we found what we wanted. The honda crv- exl is easy to get in and out for my 6ft4inch frame that weighs 285 lbs. Through edmunds . com we were steered towards Ziegler Honda in Kalamazoo. I got my final out the door price and other dealers could not match or come close so we purchased from them even though they are 70 miles from our home. There was no pressure and so far they continue to come through on questions, plates etc. Sales person gave us a specific web site to go to that answers many questions on operation of the vehicle. We are getting up there in years and this vehicle and dealer meet our current needs. Vehicle rides nice, has good visibility and steers fine. With so many various controls it is hard for an old man to remember everything but we are getting there. After only 13000 miles the tires went bad(cheap low grade tires I guess) called the dealership and got no help whatsoever, just" we do not guarantee tires," I wanted some satisfaction as to how to resolve the issue. Doubt if I would purchase again. The only help I got was you should have been offered a tire upgrade upon purchase and I was not and what reputable car manufacturer would put "cheap Tires" on a car that puts the owners at risk? Disappointed with this and hope it is not the case with other parts of the car. Purchased tires from a local tire dealer and they have 50000 miles on them with very little wear. For my second review I have to say a little disappointed, gas mileage has gone down, in winter the back up camera gets snow covered and does not work properly, slush and snow get under the bottom of the doors, takes awhile to warm up(heater) compared to my other vehicles Now the gear shift control fell apart and had to be replaced. No recall but the dealer said Honda is aware of it and will cover cost of repair, in some cases it has broken within the first several hundred miles. Expected more quality control. My new tires(not from HONDA) have over 57000 miles and show little wear and tear. Regarding technology we appreciate the ability to "pair" our phone with the car but too often it just switches over to the phone with no prompt from us, also when changing from AM to PM or Sirus it freezes or goes to the phone, not always but enough to drive you crazy. Wife likes the car so happy wife happy life. For my third review, we have had problems with various technology, on a long trip we got a message that there was an error with the tire pressure system, low tire pressure, we were 300 miles from home. Ended up at a gas station and purchased tire gauge and yes we were loosing air. Pumped it up at the station and looked for tire repair place that was open, no luck. Spent the night at hotel and checked in the morning and pressure was ok. Got home , had tires checked and they had no flaws or leaks and everything has been ok since. Have had similar issues with headlight system giving error codes but they go away and dealer could find nothing wrong. Gas mileage on long trips (1000 miles) was excellent with 35.6 average with a nice smooth ride except the low tire pressure issue. Now in 2020 the gas mileage on trips continues in the mid 30's but around home for short trips it is down somewhat but still good at around 28, when new it was about 32mpg on short trips. The spot to plug in the phone to charge is in a terrible spot, continue to have issues with technology ( screen goes blank, have to reset it) Prior to a trip this summer the car would not move forward at times and we would get a message on the "hold Brake system" Garages closed and we went on our way Happened again while on vacation, no Honda dealer within 75 miles so went to Toyata dealer-low and behold it is a problem with Crv caused by a battery going bad. New battery and months later still no problems. U tube solved our problem along with Toyata. sorry to say. Wife continues to like her car so I have to be pleased with that! Next review, wife continues to love her vehicle, have had no further problems. She will want to keep it forever. Mileage continues about the same.

125K UPDATE: Kudos to Honda
After three months, 32-33 mpg (measured). PROS: Mileage, comfort, room, handling, ride, quality of materials, cargo capacity, value, push-button start, walk-away locking, collision mitigation, android auto, shifter location, up-front bag storage, standard equipment on EX, visibility, styling. CONS: No tuning knob, digital instruments, small gas tank (14 gal), funky gas & temp gauges. It'also easy to turn off the info illumination when adjusting the volume. The cloth seats are of high-quality fabric and well-styled.. We like the matte wood trim, but we would prefer that all dash panels not be black regardless of the interior color chosen. Too bad the safety equipment is not available on the lower trim level. UPDATE: 15,000 mi. 31-32 combined mpg. on mostly hilly, rural roads. Still the top compact SUV even among recently-redesigned competitors. Brakes are a bit touchy. It takes a heavier foot to get the CVT off the line quickly, otherwise the tranny is indistinguishable in normal driving. Digital instruments are easy to read (except for the hockey-stick fuel & temp), but we still prefer analog dials. The constantly-moving instant mpg gauge is useless and cannot be deleted by itself. All audio functions should be dials and real buttons...touch screen is useful only for default settings. Still wonder why Honda would install such a small gas tank. The safety features are a mixed bag. Lane Keeping Assist mostly wanders and auto headlights do not anticipate oncoming traffic while dimming incessantly to lighted road signs, billboards and Christmas decorations. Blind Spot detection and Rear Cross Traffic warning work well. If you approach the car in your garage without your keys, you can't get in without disabling the auto-lock feature. Despite the few nits, we are still very happy with overall performance, comfort, cargo, materials, ride, noise, and most features. We also like that all CR-Vs are built in three US assembly plants. UPDATE: Now 32K and not much has changed. MPG remains 30-32. Small gas tank still a puzzle. Turned off Lane Keeping Assist and Road Departure Mitigation which proved over-active and unreliable. The rest of the safety gear works well. Note to all automakers: Place shifter on the dash to free-up floor space like most minivans and pickups do. Our '02 CR-V had a handy mini-shifter next to the radio. Maintenance schedule is a bit aggressive, but this is our first CVT. Replaced chintzy original carpeted floormats with rubber. No visible wear on any materials. Original tires have become noisy and probably will not last another 10K. No oil dilution issues. The dealer says they sell 30 CR-Vs per month and he has only seen one with the oil problem. The trip odometer resets when fueled and you can access previous trips on the touch screen. Headlights are poor...all style and little illumination. The lever for rear seatback release is handy. Works well in snow and long, icy driveway but there is no way to tell if or when 4WD kicks in. Others in this segment are closing the gap, but, in our experience, there is no reason not to pick the CR-V. 39K UPDATE; Replaced original tires at 37K. Why no mileage warranty? Why don't original-equipment tires last as long as replacements? Mileage may have crept up a bit. All is well. 47K UPDATE: Replaced shifter button which flew across the cabin one day. Honda covered under recall. Consistent 33-34 mpg combined. Touch screen has gone blank twice, but came right back. Other bloggers have noticed as well. I notified the dealer before warranty expired. Replacing the windshield which has developed a crack across the bottom. The glass company says an aftermarket piece will not work with the mounted safety gear and only original Honda equipment will do. Update: 60K and all good. I still prefer analog gauges and a geared transmission, but the rest of the criteria are all hits. The CRT is a bit slow off the line and requires a stab to que the horses, but when going does so with adequate oomph. Every once in a while I get a message that the safety gear is inop, but, upon restart, all is well again. Mileage remains a consistent 33-34 mpg (m) and I keep wondering why only a 14-gallon tank. No significant issues and my dealer is affordable, although they insist on the questionable-but-common practice of adding "shop supplies" to each bill. Now four years and counting, I can't think of another vehicle I'd choose over it and there is no reason to trade for a new one. I think I'll keep it. UPDATE 84K: Runs like new. No issues. Nice ride, comfort, reliability. Still not a fan of digital dash, CVT, or small 14-gallon fuel tank. Indicated MPG now 34-37 combined. Needs real buttons for audio. UPDATE: 111K; all warning lights came on, cleared and did not return. Diagnostics showed miss on #1. Glitch? New plugs & battery. Still rides well, comfy, roomy, fuel economy, no wear on cloth seats. Road noise more than competitors. Honda: return shift lever to dash & fold-up tray between seats as on 1st & 2nd generation. Newest generation shows little change. Still the top choice for compact SUV. Keep on truckin'. 125K UPDATE: At about 120K, all warning lights illuminated. Off and on every couple of days negating all safety systems. This problem occurred several times before, but thousands of miles apart and only for a few hours, but I informed my dealer early on. Now, after several unsuccessful reboots, resets electrical tweaks, my dealer recommended a $1,700 fuel injector replacement, and, although thousands of miles over the warranty period, Honda agreed to foot the bill. Now, 5,000 miles later, all is well, at least for now. Kudos to Columbia Honda for convincing Honda to do the right thing. I think we'll keep her.

Great Honda, Great SUV, Not an Acura
This is a very high end Honda, but this is not the quality of materials (the leather seats), or the fit and finish (particularly the rear hatch seams.....), of my Acuras. I assume it will have the same reliability as the 8 other Honda products I have owned. Details: average mileage is ~25 MPG; when you go over 78 MPH the turbo is on all the time, mileage drops fast (to around 22 MPG?); transmission is good, even acts like it is shifting when you push it hard (I like it?); rear seat room is awesome; handling is awesome; the leather on the front seats is weak, really weak, it will wear fast; get the all weather floor mats, they are awesome; the fit of the rear hatch baffles me, it is so bad I can almost get my finger in the seams....weird; the infotainment system is aggravating at best, very confusing; bluetooth is crazy, out of control, takes control of your phone even when you have deleted your phone; Android Auto works fine, but be prepared, Android Auto messes up your phone bad; Apple Car Play also works fine, but that product is terrible; love the deep white Touring color; AWD is awesome and seamless; There is a slight vibration at 78 MPH, I think it is the turbo not being isolated - I am getting used to it, so not a problem; we have 6K on the CRV. This CRV looks so much better than any of the previous versions, that is why we took a look at it. We do love it, quirks and all. We have 4 grown kids, and 2 grandkids, and we think this will make a very nice hand-me down at some point in the future - as did my 99 TL, my 05 Odyssey, my 08 Fit, and my 09 TSX - and 92 and 93 Accords....ugh....yeah, that is not all the Honda products, but most of them..... 2 Updates 10-12-2017: 1. The vibration around 75 MPH+ continues. We took it to the dealer, they said there was no vibration. There is a vibration, and it is annoying on long road trips when you are on cruise control. 2. Mileage is better, we are now consistently above 25 MPG, even when accelerating hard.

There are issues with this car
I purchased a 2017 CR-V after seeing the redesign. I previously owned a 2014 CR-V. There are a lot of issues Honda needs to work out with this car. First, the technology. The touchscreen routinely freezes and glitches, even turning different colors, and Apple/Android often don't work or glitch out. I got the touchscreen replaced and this didn't fix the problem. The safety features often don't work in anything but completely perfect weather. If it's raining, forget having the lane watch or adaptive cruise. The road noise is loud, and the USB ports are not in very good places. The shifter knob can break easily. Also - like others have said, the oil dilution issue. It honestly feels like Honda rushed this one out, and is not the gold standard of reliability and quality that Honda used to be known for.

Watch your oil!
Some of the amenities offered are done half way- remote start- only puts on defrost - doesn't heat seats, turbo engine- no get up and go..., V6- not an option etc... We have dealt with a cracked mirror casing that they would not replace- $750. A battery that died and left me stranded at 30,000 miles that they would not replace. And now we have an oil plug that magically came out (no evidence of scraping or tampering) and our engine is damaged but because it has been a month since the oil change (they are the only ones that have ever serviced the car) we are stuck with a $6600 bill. I will never buy another Honda- EVER!!

Miss my 2000 Accord!
Beware the electrical system! Just traded my 2017 CR-V EX L with 3684 miles due to ongoing electrical failures. Sensors drain the battery, warnings lights flash, gas tank warning when tank half full. Worse, now the sun roof cracks open and the windows roll down when the car is off! Dealership has tried to fix, but new problems appear. Loved the car for the first 2 years, but it had to go. This was my third Honda, and my last.

Doesn't compare to my (previous) Chrysler 300
The good - I love the adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping features. The car handles well for an SUV with a high center of gravity, and it has a tight turning circle radius. The auto-walkaway locking system is nice - it just locks itself if you forget, and walk away. The sound system is not very good, certainly not like any of the name-brand ones, as in other brand cars. The road noise is vary loud, and may be due, in part, to the tread pattern on the tires. My back-up sensors work fine, but the warning speaker is in the rear of the car, and the volume (not adjustable) is so low the it cannot be heard over normal conversation in the front seats. I have the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) systems in my car, but they are inoperative even though they're turned ON - *another* dealer visit soon. And, if they did work, the manual lists so many exceptions that their usefulness is uncertain. My mileage, in ECO (economy) mode is around 30 mpg, with the 1.5 liter turbo engine. The same mileage that I got in my big Chrysler 300 with a 3.8 liter non-turbo V-6. And the Chrysler was way quieter inside. I'll probably be looking at ways to add soundproofing to this car in the near future - it needs it. All that being said, I like the car - mine is the Obsidian Blue color - I didn't get the Lava (which looks really nice in the brochure) because I couldn't see one in person (none on the lot). One really bad thing I have discovered is the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It uses the axle speed sensors used by the abs system. As the Honda book states - all four tires must be the same "brand, model, size, and of equal wear". So, if you, like I had to do, have to replace just one tire, it will not be identical to the others, and the TPMS warning system will constantly alert and alarm. This CANNOT be reset or turned off. I have confirmed this with Honda. This means that, if you need to replace ONE tire, you MUST replace ALL FOUR. Update: After a year with this car, the mileage is now around 37 mpg, it's still very noisy, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) is still inoperative and the dealer can't (won't) fix it. The fit and finish seem to be holding up quite well. Mileage on the car is now 13,000. This is my first car with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and I love it. Also, while driving in ACC mode, the CMBS works, but not otherwise (advertising to the contrary).

wife fell in love all over again
Just to give a little history on our prior buyer preferences, we have never owned a Honda and in 2009 looked at a civic for a runabout but did not like the dealer's take it or leave it attitude. We have over the past 37 years owned a total of 22 GMC cars and trucks. So to say we are loyal General Motors fans is probably a bit of an understatement. Wife was in the market for a car to replace her current vehicle and had narrowed it down to an Envision or the 2018 Equinox. But to get the options she wanted ,was looking at spending 36 to 42 thousand. She was determined to do it for less than 30. So her idea is to test drive the new CRV 2017. On our way for a weekend at our beach house she decided since it was raining we could take the time to stop at the nearby Honda dealer an test drive the 17 CRV. Drove it, loved it, bought it. I must say it is the only car I have ever driven that I don't look for the speed control as soon as possible. That little engine and cvt feels like it is almost effortless to move this vehicle down the road, but getting over 31mpg in mixed driving . Reminds me of my duramax trucks like it has torque in reserve. Did have an emissions light come on after the first 300 miles took a week for the part to come in but was given a loaner at no charge while it was being fixed. Hopefully that was a rare occurrence and we will get to know the Honda reliability for ourselves. At this point I give the 2017 CRV a thumbs up. Well its been 18 months now with our 2017 Honda CRV and 32,000 miles on the odometer. I must say this car has a lot going for it . The worst thing about the CRV has been the tires that came on it from the factory. After about 15,000 miles they got so noisy that I didn't like even riding for longer than 10 to 15 minutes at highway speeds. At 26,000 miles I couldn't stand it any longer an put a set of Michelins on it . My wife immediately exclaimed the car felt softer on bumps and became almost as quiet as my friends 2017 rx350 Lexus. She fell for that little car again. Mileage now averages 34.5 in mixed driving and if you can stay off the interstates has got up to 39.4 on a 100 to 150 mile trip. Simply amazing for a car of this size. The engine feels even more powerful now and can surprise you if you are not ready for its surge of power when you floor it to pass. My wife said she notice the other night that the auto headlamp dimmers were not working . It might be going in to get checked out before the warranty runs out. So I must say so far the car itself has made us believers, but we tend to keep our cars 7 to 10 years and put 200,000 miles on them . This car has a good chance of making us long term Honda owners. So here it is 2020 and the crv keeps churning along. It now has 76,000 miles on it and except for a bad battery last winter has had no issues. The michelins that i put on at 26,000 still have 50%tread or better left on them. I highly recommend this upgrade from the factory tires. The mileage has average 34.5 on these miles an only drops when on long interstate trips. I assume the turbo has to run longer at 75mph. Received an extended powertrain warranty from honda in 2019 for 200,000 miles. I guess to quell owners about the oil issue i"ve seen online. So just change the oil an rotate the tires. At 50,000 miles a maintenance Light came on an had that done at the dealer. This included the engine oil and filter, air filter, cvt trans oil change, cabin filter for $330 dollars. A little high but it maintains my factory extended warranty on the powertrain. Would buy again, it's true that honda is customer driven an have an still enjoying the car.

Electrical Gremlins Wreaking Havoc
If one of the features you are looking to buy the car for is the connectivity and safety of Apple CarPlay, look elsewhere. Our 2017 CR-V is 7 months old and has 5,000 miles on it and we have had multiple issues daily with the Apple CarPlay feature. Many times it will not show up on the display at all that a phone is connected even when plugged in. The dealership said it was because we had the phone connected to the vehicle via bluetooth and CarPlay and we were using a low end cable (we weren't) and we weren't plugging the phone in before the vehicle was started. I expected the next thing to be that we needed to hold our breath, keep one foot outside the vehicle when starting, and touch your tongue to your nose in order to make this feature work. We bought the top of the line CR-V - AWD, Touring, nearly every feature you could get, the only problem is that they don't work which is pretty disapointing from a brand like Honda and after spending $35K for the vehicle. We're being told that "Apple updates the phones faster than we can update the vehicle software, but we know this is an issue", however you aren't doing anything about it. In addition to the CarPlay issues we have had several other electrical issues with sensors, particularly the reverse/back up sensors (which have to be installed at the dealership and are not a factory option) not being loud enough to be heard with the radio at a reasonable volume (10-12). We have also had issues with the blind spot sensor on the driver's side indicating that there is a vehicle there when there is not a vehicle there. Does that mean that sometimes when there is a vehicle there it isn't working? We have also had issues adjusting the brightness of the driver display (all digital). Sometimes it will allow you to lower the brightness, sometimes turning the adjustment/trip knob does absolutely nothing. Lastly, when using navigation through CarPlay the volume does not go up high enough to be heard on the highway, and the volume of the radio does not lower to allow the turn by turn navigation instructions to be heard over the radio. While the vehicle does start every morning it is very concerning to have all of these electrical issues wtih a push button start vehicle. There are body pannel/trim fit issues on the vehicle that we didn't notice until we brough it home, its feeling more and more like we bought a lemon. We're currently considering trading the vehicle for something with functional technology or pursuing the Lemon Law here in Texas. It's been a real inconvenience to make multiple trips to the dealership for the same issues without resolution. Short story long...I'd buy something other than a Honda CR-V if I were in the market today.

First year up. And it’s...
So I bought the Lx version (basic) with the tried and true 2.4L 4cyl engine. No problems here. The Sports mode when you need to move is adequate compared to older CR V’s. This vehicle is so much more refined than previous generations and I am sure the higher end model owners can attest to that even more. This past winter was the winner for me,the vehicle handled better than expected on all season tires.

Great vehicle. Updated 10/22/19
First of all, Honda got cheap on some omissions to the vehicle. I’d like to know why can’t buyers in the United States get the options the Canadian vehicles have. Heated steering wheel is a biggie. Like northern tier states don’t get as cold as lower Canadian provinces? Panoramic roof is another. Then on the U.S. vehicles, there is the lack of a seat pocket on the back of the drivers seat. The fake leather steering wheel cover lacks class, feels weird and is strangely noisy when sliding the wheel in your hand. I gotta see if I can treat it with something. The center armrest will not lock in a fixed position, it slides up and back effortlessly......annoying. Need a light in the glove box. Needs to have a real horn and not the road runner horn. Front seats lack in comfort and passenger seat should have the same adjustments as the drivers seat. Infotainment system is too complicated and I think that most used audio controls should be separate from the rest of the mess. Substandard tires, should be Michelin. These issues cost my CR-V one star. Now for the good stuff. Great looks, and drivability. Basically, everything is fantastic! I love to drive this SUV. It’s quiet, peppy and the CVT is growing on me. This thing is fantastic on the road. On the highway, the technology is great. The ACC is great but a little slow getting back up to speed. There is a service bulletin addressing this that I have yet to have done. The collision mitigation system has already saved my bacon once. Rain sensing wipers, auto high beam headlights, hands free tailgate, walk off door locks and I could go on and on from here, are great. You get a spare tire and jack too. That is becoming rare even in Honda’s. Who in their right mind would head across the country without a spare tire and jack??????? I guess I’m old school. My dealership has sold me four Honda’s and I’m in the “Happy Camper” category......so far. Now for the biggie. Fantastic mileage for a non-hybrid vehicle. In the summertime using AC I got 26/32 mpg. In the fall without AC I am getting 31/34 mpg and even averaged 34.9 mpg on a trip to Kansas City. Fantastic........knock on wood. Update after 11months. Everything in the original review is correct. I still hate the OEM tires. Rough riding and not very good in snow or ice. Steering wheel cover still makes annoying sound wher running your hand ove4 it. Center console arm rest still slides back and forth with little resistance. Still hate the horn and radio controls need to be separate from the rest of the systems. Now for an update on the auto lock feature. It works too good. I got out of the practice of manually locking the doors when leaving the vehicle. Unfortunately my other vehicle (2014 Odyssey) doesn’t have the auto lock feature and I’ve walked away from it several times without locking it. I know, my bad and I’m old. To fix the issue, I (temporarily) turned the auto lock feature off on the CR-V until I replace the Odyssey with a newer model that has the feature. So, old folks, be warned. You can screw yourself with new technology. I still need to get the service bulletins applied. Update: 10/22018 Oil Dilution Issue There has need a boatload of bad press on an oil dilution issue on SOME of the turbo 1.5L engines. I have to admit that IF my CR-V had this issue, that I’d be jumping on that band wagon too. HOWEVER, my vehicle has not exhibited any of the symptoms unhappy owners have described in the many complaints I’ve read. I generally take short trips with our CR-V so I’m a prime candidate for this issue. But in fact, only a small percentage of owners are experiencing this issue. I see their names or usernames on nearly every publication in print or online complaining about oil dilution. One guy was a dipstick sniffer. He smells gas on his dipstick so he assumed he was a victim. He could be right, BUT. Just for kicks and grins, I sniffed the dipsticks on my other vehicles, my daughters family vehicles and I even asked my neighbor if I could sniff the dipsticks on his three vehicles (that question caused a strange look on his face until I explained why I had asked). Following all these sniff tests I smelled my CR-V’s dipstick and it smelled like the other ones on all the other vehicles. Imagine that. It smelled like engine oil. I believe that there was a bad batch of engines on the production line that will be traced to a particular plant and date of manufacture if we just give Honda time to crunch the data. Every car model ever built and sold has had lemons. Be it human error or a manufacturing defect, it takes time to identify and correct the problem. In closing, I believe that the unfortunate owners of CR-V’s with the oil dilution problem are the exception, rather than the rule. I think that the Takata airbag issue was a far more serious issue than this, but the unhappy owners or CR-V’s are very noisy right now. Update 04/23/2022 We only have about 7K miles on this vehicle. We haven’t traveled since Covid so we can’t comment on that. The only weak spot on the vehicle is the battery. The 51 series just hates cold weather. We have two vehicles and don’t go out much in cold weather. About one week of freezing weather, garaged, is all I can get away with without a thirty minute drive. After that, it’s battery charger time. I am buying a battery maintainer this year so I can just plug it in when it’s cold and won’t have to worry about the vehicle being dead. Other than that, all is great. 10/25/22 Not much to add. I had to replace a battery again this year because I had a faulty battery from Sam’s Club. No sweat, they gave me another new one. I fully charged it on the bench prior to installing it and it has been great all summer. I’m going to charge it around thanksgiving to top it off again. I bought this for my wife but she sorta gave up driving. This was okay, until I had a knee replacement. I rode with ROAD RAGE MAXINE one time and then took her keys. About the CR-V, it’s fine and only has 7500 miles on the clock. We’re retired and because of Covid we didn’t do the traveling we had planned. So both the Odyssey and CR-V get light mileage. Mainly grocery shopping and doctor appointments. BORING!!

We got a lemon and no one would help us
So very disappointed in Honda. So glad to be rid of this haunted car, warning lights flashing when nothing was wrong, scaring the crap out of us while flying down the highway at 70 mph. There is something wrong with the electrical system in this car, but all the mechanics know to do is to move the EZ Pass. Don't waste your money on this car. Something is very wrong with it and Honda won't admit it.

Sweet ride
Love the CR-V, for the money it can't be beat. Hope the reliability of the turbo gets an A+ time will tell. They could have done a better job on the design of the wheels but that's the only thing I don't care for looking at after market.... Update: The navigation is getting a bad rap but I'll tell you what, I just returned from a trip to Nashville and surroundings the nav was spot on, it would have been difficult without it....

Too much road noise, NO CD PLAYER
I never would have bought this vehicle if I knew it didn't have a CD player, which I use to listen to audio books. I retired after 32 years as a state police lieutenant. This car has WAY TOO MUCH ROAD NOISE. When you start going to larger wheels and tires, especially at highway speeds, you absolutely have to have superior insulation and probably add "touring" tires, with less roll resistance. I traded in a 2012 Chev Impala with 34K, since I had a state police 2006 take-home Impala, and both these cars were quiet. This car sounds like it has snow tires on it.

Shopping for mid sized SUV gave the CRV a look.
There are several problems this car has in our view and a big part is value and over all performance. Almost pulled the trigger on another SUV but little lady saw this car and wanted to check it out. Aside from the fact the dealer apprised our car for $2000 less the anyone else the vehicle just could not compare to the mid size SUV's we were considering. Hated the CVT transmission and the engine made cheap 4 cyclinder sounds. Too much road noise and the worst sound system we had sampled and yes I adjusted it every way possible. Not a bad car and probably the best compact SUV out there but with the incentives and deep discounting going on in the mid sized market suggest you look around at what you can buy up market from this vehicle. Little to no discount or incentives makes this thing look over priced to us.

25,000 miles
I've had my 2017 since April 2017. I'm liking this car more every time I drive it. My wife and I bought it because we wanted something that sits higher than the 2010 Civic it replaced. My first turbo, so I may not know what lag is, but I don't notice any delay in acceleration. I find it has plenty of pep, and I keep it in ECON mode almost all of the time. I don't understand when some people say it's slow. With almost 25,000 miles on the clock, on-board telemetry says 33+ mpg. That's 2/3 city, 1/3 highway miles, so I'm not complaining. I like most of the safety features, the exception being LKAS. It has to "see" the lane lines, so when there's a break for off/on ramps, or driving into the sun, it can't track. And there are times on western freeways when I don't WANT to be in the center of the lane. The adaptive cruise and low speed follow are great. Blind spot monitoring and lane departure have already saved my bacon once or twice. The collision mitigation has warned me to brake a couple of times. My favorite feature is the brake hold, which makes city driving much easier. I feel it is a very safe car. Comfort is good, some might find the seat cushions a bit short, but this is the first car I've owned for many years that I didn't need a folded towel or pillow for lumbar support. This is also my first infotainment system, had to dump both the CDs and the MP3, and got an i-pod. Once I got familiar with the controls, I have no issues. I wouldn't recommend trying to change balance or tone while driving, but those are pretty much set and forget unless there's a whiny passenger in the back seat. The interface with my smart phone works well. I've driven Hondas for 38 years and hope this one is as trouble free as the other three. So far, so good!

This car is a time bomb. Lots of issues.
After test driving several vehicles in the same class as the CR-V, I chose the CR-V EXL because it has nearly everything or more than its competitors for a much lower price. In terms of fit and finish, the interior of my CR-V EXL is superior than the Kia Sorento or the Chevrolet Equinox. I've owned my CR-V EXL for nearly 3 years now, and am experiencing a couple of serious issues. The first being that I smell raw gasoline in the cabin when I drive it. I don't even live in a cold climate, and yet it still takes 10 minutes for the car to adequately warm up. The second issue is that the touchscreen in the middle of the dash will randomly start resetting its brightness settings nonstop. The problem has gotten so annoying that I'm considering turning the car in at the end of the lease and walking away from Honda altogether.

Safety Features - best in show!
I shopped and helped my 97yo grandfather a vehicle with safety features. This car had the best active safety features for under $30k. It will help you stay in your lane (steers you toward the center of the lane). Subaru/Toyota didn't have this feature. The only thing needs improvement is the volume of the beep for blind spot needs to have even louder setting option.

Great SUV
I picked up my White diamond Touring AWD last week and I'm loving it!! It drives really well and is very comfortable. It does have a lot of safety features, which can feel overwhelming at first. The only features I'm missing from my previous car is the panoramic moonroof, ventilated seats and when the mirrors would tilt down in reverse.

Honda does it again!
This is my first Honda and also first mid-size SUV. My family has been buying Honda for over 20 years now (2 Pilots, 1 Oddessy, 1 Civic, 1 Accord) and have had 0 issues with any of their cars during this time. In fact, my dads Accord was purchased back in the 80s and he put nearly 300,000 miles on it and never had a single problem. So reliability is never an issue with Honda. I LOVE this this new CRV. I never liked the looks of the older ones and wasn't even going to look at the CRV until they redid the car, which I really like. It looks much more sporty for a family-oriented vehicle. The ride is smooth, the turbo engine is peppy for it's size, and the fuel economy is great. In the 2 weeks I have had the car I have put more 400 miles on the car and I am getting 29.5 MPG, which is great compared to my old car (Hyundai Tiburon GT). I have one two minor gripes. One, the engine can be a bit noisy when sitting still, either parked or when I come to a stop. I have never had a turbo engine before, so this might be normal. It isn't super loud or anything, it just creates a small clicking sound that once I hear I can't stop focusing on. But once I drive it stops, and with ANY music playing you can't hear it. I googled this and it seems to be normal for this new 1.5L turbo engine. My second complaint is that the safety features do not let you sync any phones while driving. While this is great in preventing a driver from syncing a phone via Bluetooth or one of the apps, it also prevents any passengers from doing so as well. Not a big deal, just a bit weird this can't be changed via settings. Overall I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and love my car. I highly recommend it!

A Luxury SUV at a very affordable price~
This is our third Honda CRV. The newly designed 2017 Honda CRV is more spacious, luxurious, quiet and comfortable. The 2017 CRV feels and drives like am Acura, Lexus or BMW. Our model - one level below the top of the line "Touring" is beautifully built - heated leather seats, custom dual heat/AC controls, outstanding stereo system, and lots of new safety features - including lane warning. One of the neatest new features is the new intelligent cruise control system which automatically adjusts if the car in front of you slows down. We also looked at the Subaru version - and found it was smaller, noisier, and much less luxurious. From all of our research, Honda also had the highest reliability and best resale value.

Big time bang for the buck
This is my first non-luxury car in over 25 years and the gap has diminished somewhat. Owned Saab, Lexus and Acura, all of which were great cars, particularly the Lexus. For just over $32k for a loaded AWD Touring I've gotten a very well-balanced car that is surprisingly refined and peppy. Do wish it had more ponies under the hood, but that's kind of what you get in this class. Fairly quiet and smooth, especially for a crossover. Mileage is below listed as many posters have noted, but still pretty good. Safety features on par with the NX and RDX I looked long and hard at for $10k more. Infotainment system is not class-leading but certainly way better than some of the dour reviews it's received. All in all, Honda needed to hit a home run with the new CR-V and having looked in depth at all of the competitors in this class, I think they've nailed it. A really well-rounded car that now looks and feels much more premium than the CR-Vs of old and can legitimately be considered a mid-size option.

2017 CR-V EX
We have had two or three Accords and a Civic, but this is our first move into the CR-V and into the EX trim. I love the car. It handles great, and gets better gas mileage than our 2013 Civic! I appreciate the active safety features, which have already come in handy several times. We have just had the car for just over 1800 miles, but our overall mileage during those miles is 34 mpg. Things I would change or add: 1. An interior release for the tailgate (although I suspect there's some ultra cautious safety reason for only opening from the outside or remotely). 2. The interface for the entertainment and vehicle info is a bit slow, and could stand some attention. 3. *Wireless* Apple CarPlay, rather than just via USB. UPDATE after 11,000 miles: 1. The entertainment system has had some issues on cold days. At times, it has not recognized the iPhone plugged in to the CarPlay system. At times, it has simply dropped the connection. When it does that, the Bluetooth gets temperamental as well. 2. The Auto setting for the headlights was just what I wanted, but it too has developed a curious issue. When engaged, the dashboard displays the icon for the headlights, with a capital "A" in the middle. It no longer displays the "A", and indeed does not operate automatically (e.g., auto switching from bright to regular beams), even when set to auto. I will schedule a trip to the dealer when my work schedule lightens up a bit.

Horrible experience with CRV
We bought a new CRV 2017 3 years ago. Engine failed. Honda Dealer charged us 10000$ although it's still under warranty. We'll go long way to battle with this. It is very horrible experience. Would never buy Honda any more and would suggest anybody not to buy Honda.
Not Really Happy with touring CRV
I owned a 2013 CRV previously. Purchased the 2017 Touring CRV in August 2017. First of all NO CD player--No pocket behind drivers seat-no comfortable arm rests for driver & passenger. Replaced it with a cheap piece of plastic that is annoying. It slides back and forth. Use to have storage area on each side of the middle counsul. Did away with that. I'm sorry I purchased that car. I was told "It has everything" Well needless to say after I got on the road I found it did not have everything. I will choose another make of vehicle next time. I trade every three years. LAST Honda for me. 9/13/2018 Having this car now for a year I've added to this review. Still wish I chose another vehicle. It is now 09/14/2019 I still have the Honda (2017) My review still remains somewhat negative. I have since purchased new tires. Thought the ride might be smoother and firmer but it is not. My daughter has a Toyota Tacoma pick up truck.(2018) That truck rides like a dream compared to my Honda. I will not consider Honda when it comes time for a new vehicle.

Fun to drive again
Wife getting prepared for a knee replacement and wanted a vehicle that was easy to get in and out of. We decided on a 5 passenger SUV. We test drove Cadillac, GMC, Buick, Toyota, and Ford. The Honda stood out in Tech and comfort. We live in the mountains and the small turbo handles the climbs with no problem. Averaging 31.4 mpg. with an engine that has a lifetime warranty. The navigation is spot on and even shows your next turn on the dash (handy). Brake hold is a welcome feature that makes stop and go easy. Cruise control keeps a distance between you and the driver in front and breaks for you. I went from 70 to 0 as the car in front of me came to a stop. Amazing. Headlights and wipers are automatic. I guess I have to mention the only con I can think of (no CD player). What a fun car to drive and you owe it to yourself to test drive one.

lovin the road
I've been driving stick for two decades. When Honda stopped making an Accord EXL V6 in stick, I went down to an SI. It was spunky and fun to ride/park but storage was terrible and I was tired of being the smallest car on the road. So I broke down and got the new CRV EXL (CVT) AWD. So great. Tricked it up with roof rails, running boards and side panels. Looks awesome. Inside with floor/cargo mats/cargo net/hands free tailgate. Cheap on gas, all out on fun. Do I miss stick? I guess. But its a dead technology and CVT is where it's at. This car is ok out of the gate (not fantastic) and needs a bit too much pedal to get it to move backwards when trying to park in tight spaces, but overall it is so much fun to drive. I hope to have this car long enough to hand down to the next gen. I still don't understand why anyone today would get navi when GoogleMaps looks great on Android Auto and I would guess works at least as well. I love the XM interface.
