In repair; VTC Actuator goes out, if you like your engine taken apart at 30,000. 60,000, 100,000 Honda declines to fix problems; transmission oil needs changed every 25,000 or transmission slips; cheap leather interiors; ac went out at 80,000 on the dot. Honda makes them to fall apart asap. Tiny brake shoes on the rear of the vehicle...why?

I have had to fix the door twice because the Cargo door would not open. No matter how hard, and long I press the latch, the door would not open. At first the dealer fixed the issue by replacing the entire latch, but after a month of use, the problem came back again. Six month after the second fix, the latch was slow to react, until finally, stopped working entirely. Now that the Warranty expired, the dealer is charging to fix the problem. Very Disappointed with Honda.

Neglectful

In 2012 I purchased a brand new Honda CR-V. At first, everything seemed great. A year later or so I started to experience a strange sound when I started the truck. When I took it in for regular oil change I mentioned it and they said they would check it out. They told me it was ok and the noise I heard was "normal." I trusted them and their exper mechanics so I continued to drive it. Needless to say it continued and ever time I took it in they told me nothing was wrong. It finally got to be too much and ONLY upon my insistence, they kept the truck overnight to listen to the noise which they repeatedly assured me was "nothing." Today after I finally called to check on my truck because no one called me I was told it is the VTC Actuator and would cost $500, but not to worry they would pay $350 and I would only have to pay $150. I asked why I would have to pay anything at all and was told because now the warranty expired. I asked for the manager who NEVER came to the phone instead I was directed to call Honda customer service. Well I called was given a case # and now wait for the result. Meanwhile, I'm without transportation. Omg words cannot express my frustration. There has to be some protection or something for this. HELP,,,,,,,,

A pleasure to own and operate. We added after market leather and heaters for both front seats.

First drive was across central Oregon at 60 mph. Note speed limit is only 55. But 35.4 mpg for the first tank fillup is pretty darn good. Wind that day was calm and dry roads. Since then it's only been around town with an average speed of 27 to 29 mph. With that I'm getting 29 to 30 mpg.
