Rear Differential
I have enjoyed my CR-V with two exceptions. First the original equipment tires failed after 30K and the rear differential has required "regular service" (at $100.00/per) four times in almost 60K miles, which are mostly highway miles. Honda "Engineers" are supposedly investigating the problem but it still will not help those of us who will drive the vehicle past the 60K mile warranty period. We will look elsewhere next year when we expect to replace this vehicle. The manual and my dealer recommends service every 30K miles, which in my estimation is a outright lie.
My 2007 CRV EX
I purchased my certified new with 25K miles. I loved it and have been happy with it but have had reliability issues. My air conditioner failed and had to be replaced and the locking modulator has failed along with a door lock and my routine maintenance visit to the dealer yielded new struts. I'm just at 77K miles with regular maintenance so thumbs down.

Love It!
Ok, I've only had my 07 CR-V EX for one day, but I thoroughly researched several others (Toyota RAV4 and Hyundai Santa Fe and Tucson) and just fell in love with this car. The dealerships around me sell the cars before the even reach the lot or within 2 days of receiving. I went 2 1/2 hrs away, but had a selection to choose from....and they came down about $1500 from MSRP. I got the green tea EX 2WD and love it. The only thing I don't like is the fold and tumble seats as opposed to "lay flat" seats. I was highly considering the RAV4, but hate the tire on the back and not willing to pay $4000 more for the limited with no tire on back. Honda also has better resale value and slightly better gas.
My 12 years with a CR-V
This is my second Honda but first CR-V. We be bought it 68,500 miles ago in the fall of 2006. It has been the perfect vehicle for us in that I am tall but my wife is short and we made it work for both of us: visibility, easy in and out, good gas milage and performance. In fact, we just bought another CR-V...a 2018. Looking forward to another 12 years.

Excellent Car For Your Money
I absolutely LOVE this car! Roomy for me (I am 6'1") and my 3 kids, very fuel efficient, excellent all- wheel drive (it's fully automatic, no buttons to push - the car kicks in the AWD system as soon as the wheels start slipping). Inside design couldn't be better, very intuitive. The road noise is more than I used to driving domestics, but it's the only "negative" comment I can make about this vehicle. Very impressive! Highly recommend to anyone who wants an AWD with good fuel economy and outstanding reliability.
