I bought this vehicle mainly for its fuel economy and low ownership cost, and it's ok in those regards. However, I'm disappointed by its rough ride, noisy engine and cabin. I find the controls and interior details annoying. For example, the accessory power stays on only when the ignition is on, making it impossible to keep a cell phone charging overnight. The window lock on the drivers side prevents even the driver from operating the windows. You can't lock the doors with the remote unless all the doors are closed and if you unlock the doors remotely and don't open a door right away, it locks itself again. Honda, stop trying to protect me from myself -- it's annoying!
Good but not up to the hype
We would have enjoyed the car more if Honda owners didn't hype the brand. The paint was a mess from new. All four seat belts hang onto the ground after a year. Rear differential makes car shudder in turns. Transmission clunks from first to second and back again. Uncomfortable seats and fabric. Shudders on acceleration. Very expensive brakes. Takes forever to get in to dealer, they must be fixing somebody's Honda. Having said all that, the car was pretty good. I'd consider another but you shouldn't buy the hype. It's a car, they break. I'd love to sit down with every person who said, "Buy a Toyota/Honda, you'll never have a another problem. Ridiculous thing to say.

Car has several problems, not including a couple of rattles. Car has always had an idle problem that results in hesitation in the mid RPM range. Honda will not fix the problem because they are in denial. Most likely cause is a bad throttle sensor. Very annoying and dangerous (the car can fail to turn off the throttle). In addition, the rear differential is binding.
Happy with Honda
I am very happy with the CRV SE. I have had Honda's for over 16 years, I went from the Oddyssey to the Pilot in 2005 and now to the CRV in 06. Since all my kids have Honda's, I decided I didn't need a big vehicle anymore. It took me about a week to get use to the small size coming from the Pilot. I am very impressed and like the 4 cyclinder engine and ease in whipping around. My wife loves the car and this is the first time she ever said anything about the cars I buy.
wished i would have stayed with ford
has been in shop 11 times in 14 months, 7 trips re brakes alone, replaced rotors and pads front and rear at 18,000 mi, rear axle hub at 14,500 [warped], cv joint front at 38,000, still has vibration, only new car in 25 yr of marriage and we are disappointed beyond words. honda's "TUDE" is "we dont make mistakes, it must be your driving style"plan on replacing this summer
