I love my second Honda

My CR-V SE is my second Honda vehicle. I have known that I wanted an CR-V for over two years. But even I was surprised at how absolutely delightful the 2005 is. One should not feel this way about an inanimate object. Oh, there are one or two little things I would change ... slightly wider arm rests; gradient intermittent windshield wipers; standard transmission not available... But the good stuff outweighs these little things, and there is a lot of good stuff! A great driving experience. I expect to have it a long time.

I have owned, the Suzuki Side Kick and the Chevy Tracker. The Honda out performs both hands down. I am really enjoying driving my CRV. It has great pick up and is really comfortable.

We shopped extensively and found the Honda CR-V to be the obvious choice in this class to fit our particular needs.

Good Car - But Watch Rear Impact

I actually love my CR-V. I have had it since December. On highway - gets advertised mileage. Around town (with some highway), only about 17MPG (this is the Auto, 2WD model.) One thing that bothers me is there is no rear bumper per se. I was rear ended this week - Nissan Altima doing about 5MPH. Pushed the back of the CR-V in about 1/2". Crushed the trunk (the wheel well under the floor.) When I crawled under it, there really is no bumper. The back of the vehicle is the bumper. I do not like that - this will be a VERY expensive repair bill. Like others have said, road noise is L- O-U-D .... have to turn the radio up to 60% or more to hear it when on the highway.

We purchased this vehicle for my wife's daily driver. The amazing number of standard safety features, along with our specific needs, made the CR-V the perfect choice for us.
