Used 2005 Honda CR-V Consumer Reviews
Worth it
This has been everything I hoped for: small SUV with tall storage/cargo, very good ground clearance, and tons of safety features. It's also easy for my 6' 2" frame to get in and out of, and the flat floor front and rear is great. Fold down piece between front seats is handy. I agree that the black interior is a total pain to keep clean, and the CRV is certainly not to be confused with a smooth riding, good handling sedan--I have an Outback than is rock solid at 80. The CRV can feel a little loose after 70, especially with wind or if you need to do anything sudden. Beyond that, I have nothing but compliments and can confirm the 23/29 mileage that many others report.
Best vehicle ever own
I bought my CR-V SE back in Nov of 2004 and still own the car today with 61,500 miles. So far I have been very please with my CR-V because there have been no problems. I change my oil every 5000 to 7500 miles with Amsoil motor oil. I services the transmission myself every 15,000 miles. It's easy because it has a drain plug just like changing the oil. I highly recommended any type of Honda vehicle to anyone because my has been so reliable, my mother and brother both own a Honda. All three of our cars get great gas mileage better than what the window stickers says. I am thinking of getting a new Honda CR-V Turbo Diesel when its comes in late 2009 as a 2010 year model because of the better MPG.

Not a bad SUV
We purchased an EX in November of 04. WE had decent snow traction the first winter but this week, BLAH. Scary. The tires Bridgestone Duelers are horrible. My wife loves it but I think the seats need more support and they move to much. OK gas mileage but we expected more from a 4cyl. Performance is ok. It is a safe car with all the airbags and ABS etc. We had it in dealer last month for an alignment, now the steering wheel is off and it still pulls to the right. The door panels are thin and it is kinda noisy. A safe vehicle and reliable but we {ok, ME} expected a quieter more comfortable SUV from Honda.
Nice SUV
I really love this SUV. Have had a few non-Honda like issues with this car. I had to have the strut lubed and now the rotors are warped big time. Another trip to the dealer. I guess I just expected more from Honda. But again, after coming from an Olds Alero, anything would be more reliable.
I love my CRV
I can truly say that this is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned! It drives nicely, is very quiet in the inside....and gives me lots of room to carry things -- which is helpful when you are an active teacher who likes to go to Home Depot. The fuel economy is a little less than I would like...but you take the good with the bad.
