Used 2003 Honda CR-V Consumer Reviews
A good alternative
The car completely lives up to the quality I have come to expect in a Honda. Two small complaints, 1)the small back window makes the blind spot bigger then average and 2) the handling in the rain is not as stable as I would have liked.
Honda CRV AWD
Having had this car for a year now, I probably would have purchased another vehicle due to just one thing and that is how uncomfortable/noisy this car rides and handles. Everything else is fine, especially the styling and quality. If I drive this vehicle for more than an hour I am ready for a break. Don't take your eyes off of the road for a milisecond while driving because this vehicle will wander away quicker than I have ever seen another vehicle do.

Best for the price
Comparing mini-suv's on the road today I would have to say the the EX, which comes loaded with options, is probably the best mini sport utility on the market. The price starts higher than most but the top price is less than all others. This is on a loaded vehicle with more options than my Accord EX. This vehicle rides smooth and turns on a dime. Our CRV has been all over and still runs smooth after 15000 miles in the first year. What more do you expect it's a Honda.
We like it!
My wife and I traded in our 11 year old Accord for this, mainly because we wanted something different, yet reliable. So far, we're really happy with it. It's fun to drive, and the new design is much nicer than the old one (pre-2002). We drove most of the small SUVs, and narrowed it down to this and the Santa Fe. Given Honda's superior reliability and dependability record, the choice really became obvious for us. It gets good gas mileage and has more back seat room than any of its competitors. There's plenty of cargo room for couples like us w/o kids too.
safety after crash totaling my CRV
I just wanted to say that my CRV was the only car I was in an accident with. I rear ended a lady at 60 mph when her brake lights didn't work and I hadn't realized she was standing still. My CRV was totaled..but except for the airbags that deployed, You would never have known it from the inside. Now the outside was a different story...but the safety factor is incredible. I walked out .. dazed by the airbag..but unhurt. I did have some seatbelt bruizing to my chest... but that's it. I'm on my 5th Honda now.. I have an Accord coupe, and I'll keep going back for more.
