Sport Touring fits the bill!

2019 Honda Civic Sport Touring 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl Turbo CVT)

If you want a fast car that can carry a lot too, get the VW GTI. It has wicked acceleration. The Honda is pretty decent in that regard too. there is no turbo lag and the car feels light on the move with excellent steering feedback and braking. I've barely broken in the engine and can't wait to give the pedal shifters a go. Update 26-August-2020 After 18 months I can say that I really love this car! Its the perfect vehicle for everyday driving as well as weekend jounts of spirited excursions. Just a couple of small observations: 1. Why.have all.lights as LEDs yet use regular bulbs in the fog lamps? 2. Right driver side mirror should have traffic indicator that lights up when you use the blinkers to change lanes to the right. If there's an audibl warning on top of that, it will be really useful. 3. Why must I run the engine for 4+ hours and do several updates using USB drive just to update the maps I. The navigation system? HTH

Love this car! Black of course...

I bought this to replace my Altima 2009 coupe that died. I actually do NOT have the sport model but the LX base coupe which was not in the possible choices below. I LOVE the fact that the 2019 refresh solved the only gripes I had about the 2018 model. * Revised front end with less humongous fake intakes. * 7" head unit on standard model now. * Almost All Black interior * Chrome front now black with smaller chrome highlights. I mostly think Honda sensing to be pretty much useless for me..but got it included. I am sure I would appreciate more power that the other trims offer but find with good shifting, the 158HP 6 MT is really spiffy and enough for me... maybe a bit of tuning in the future. I installed an amp and replaced the 4 main speakers so road noise is not an issue. The only real issue I have with the car is the temperature system which still confuses me... At low it spits freezong air ...but one notch above ay 15.5 C it spits out VERY hot air... so very difficult to have a nice luke warm breeze. But maybe I just need to fiddle with it. Apart from that... SUPER SATISFIED!!

This is a GREAT commuter car! Really good on gas, plenty of power to pass, computerized stability control ( I pass cars during snowstorms on the highway). I also like the Honda Sensing technology.

2019 Civic Sport Hatchback 6MT

Lame standard equipment. This model does NOT include Apple CarPlay. It is NOT standard on the Sport Hatchback as it claims in this article (unless you buy the Sport Touring model at close to $30k which is only available with a CVT). Perhaps this article is about the Canada version, which IS different than the USA models. In truth, the radio in the Sport hatchback and the LX models are pitiful (USA spec models). Any FM radio reception is hopeless and there is no satellite radio option either. A huge disappointment coming from a 2015 Accord Sport. UPDATE 8/31/21 I use the Fuelly app for fuel usage, etc.. I used 87 octane only. 34k miles, average mpg was 37.7, best tankful yielded 40.7. Economy does drop with less highway mileage. My overall rating is greatly influenced by the lack of standard features in this particular model. I have since replaced the Civic with a small SUV (since I'm retired and no longer commuting close to 100 miles a day). The Civic was extremely low to the ground and sucked in the snow and the center exhaust does not allow a hitch for a bike rack. Message to Honda: put the exhaust back where it belongs and give us your sweet 6 speed manual in more models. I left the Honda family because your CVT is horrible. UPDATE 8/31/22 Overall, I miss the Civic 6MT greatly. CVT or automatics are horrible to live with, and seriously, is maybe 1 or 2 more mpg worth it to be stuck with a CVT? The new (2022) Civic with the 6MT looks awesome and I would buy another in a heartbeat, but not with the markups out there. I've heard of more than a few SI's out there recently with up to $10k markup with every available option thrown on as well. AND, I've only found ONE Civic on a Honda lot with a 6MT, an SI marked up $3,500 and every option you can think of tacked on. Every dealer is milking the snot out of these 'supply chain' issues to the max. They disgust me. And put a spare tire in all the Civic models. I recently read a review on a new Civic where even a temporary donut spare is no longer included. Seriously? C'mon Honda.

DO NOT BUY

Do not buy this car unless you purchase an extended warranty to cover the ac system. The coolant used is corrosive and destroys the ac system. Honda knows about the problem and will split repair costs with you 70/30 or 80/20. However, it is an ongoing problem and if you keep the car, it will happen again and again. Honda doesnt have it listed as a recall. Will not buy honda again.
