Worst car that I ever owned!
I bought this car in 2016. Before that drove Camry 2009 and had no issues ever up till even now. With new "addition" in our household I started having all kinds of problems from the very beginning of my ownership of this Honda Accord Sport 2016: after just 1 month, voice recognition started failing, pandora stopped working, in a year or year and a half in winter the car didn't start one time (battery was ok though), heating system started blowing cold air and last winter I was freezing in my car to and from work, camera failed 1 time and yesterday another time, car didn't start again when I needed to pick up my Mom from the airport 2 months ago, and there was also an issue when all of a sudden the car wouldn't accelerate when I pushed the gas pedal on the highway and on local roads too... I kept bringing my car for the past 3 years (since I bought it brand new), to 4 different dealerships on regular basis in hope that it will be fixed, but they didn't do anything, saying that they couldn't replicate the issue.. Years are going by, my car didn't start again and camera failed... Now my car is our of warranty and all these issues are continued, should they be finally "replicated", I will probably have to pay out-of-pocket at this point... MotoWerks in Barrington was unbelievably inconsiderate and even rude to me. Took my car for repairing these issues, gave me a loaner, forgot about me for 2 weeks, noone made any contact, then when I called there myself to ask about the status of my vehicle, they said that they csny repair it because they can't replicate the issue and demanded their loaner back, while I was after surgery on bed rest! In June of 2019, during my next attempt to fix all these issues in my car, the manager crossed the line at all - while they didn't repaired my vehicle AGAIN, and didn't even care about it, he at that very same moment demanded their loaner back and after I said that we have a death in a family and funeral in a day or two, asked if I could return their loaner few days later, in a meantime maybe they would finally fix my car, he not only refused me, but he also threatened me to call the police and report their vehicle "as stolen"! HIS RESPONSE WAS NOY ONLY DISRESPECTFUL BUT IT WAS EVEN SHOCKING!!! That was my last encounter with Honda dealership before my warranty expired..I've seen disrespect from sales people and managers on occasion before, but THIS ONE WAS BEYOND BELIEF! THIS MANAGER SHOULD BE FIRED FOR SUCH MISCONDUCT TOWARDS A CUSTOMER! As to a Corporate, they are of no help either!!! They just kept sending me back to the dealerships, where the system must have been designed for NOT finding a problem that customer is suffering from with a car, and REFUSE TO OFFER ANOTHER SOLUTION SINCE I CONTINUEHAVING THESE ISSUES BUT DEALERSHIPSARE UNABLE TO FIX THEM. If I ever get in to a car accident due to malfunctioning of my vehicle and manufacturer's unwillingness to resolve a problem for me, this will be THEIR FAULT AND THEIR RESPONSIBILITY! So... I'm stuck with a defective vehicle, dealerships can't fix it and corporate refuses to refund me the money by "lemon" law.. MY RECOMMENDATION - STAY AWAY FROM HONDA AND BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER!!! OTHERWISE YOU'LL BE STUCK WITH DEFECTIVE VEHICLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND YOU WON'T GET ANY HELP FROM ANYWHERE FOR AS LONG AS YOU OWN THIS CAR!!! By the way, I taking excellent care of my car, deive it very little - for 3 years and 3 months has just 20k miles on it.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOBDA TO ANYONE!!!

Good ride, gas mileage and comfort. I do wish the car had driver alert mirrors when cars approach. This is an excellent safety feature they missed out on.

Almost Great . . .
Very solid every day use vehicle. Does everything adequately or slightly better than average. Had to replace tires before their time due to an irritating scraping sound (original tires and rims were mismatched). Drivers seat could use better padding.

Honda lover but Accord 2016 dissapointed me
I am a Honda lover but after buying Accord 2016 and using it for so many days, I feel Honda Accord CVT version is not worth money paid, specifically for ride comfort, noisier cabin and stereo. The stereo as Honda indicates a premium stereo with 360W is not equivalent to 30W stereo. On the ride comfort I can even feel the a small pot holes. I don't even get blind spot even after paying such a high amount for EX-L. I totally dissapointed with Accord 2016.

Honda goes down hill
This is my 4th Honda and after owning this car for 5 months I truly will never buy another Honda again!!!! What a joke. I can't even believe this carries the name Honda on it. I'm so disappointed with the car that I've tried trading it 3 times and I would be losing a substantial amount of money. The car is uncomfortable on long rides, there is a rattling noise in the dash that just started last month and the service department can't fix it. The gas mileage is not what is on the window sticker. The acceleration on the highway is horrendous. The only good thing about the car is the exterior styling. Like they say never judge a book by it's cover. What a mistake it was this time. Looks like I will be going American for the 1st time. Update*** I finally got out of the car. What a terrible vehicle! I’m so disappointed with Honda!! I’ve since looked at the new design and it is by far the ugliest Honda Accord I have seen. I don’t think I could drive another Honda Accord again which is very disappointing because I loved my other Honda accords.

Model EX-L is a rip off
2016 Accord added a feature call "Honda Sensing" which is included in the navigation package that costs $2000, which includes FCW, LDW, etc. However, you guys need to know that 2013-2015 Accord EX-L include FCW and LDW as a standard instead of an optional package that cost $2000 dollar. I rather buy an ipad to be my navigation system.

Good upgrade/update from a 15 year old accord
With the new design in and out plus all the feature that is given on a base '16 accord with the history and reliability of Honda. There is nothing can go wrong on this car. With the deal that I got which is even sweeter story....

Still a Great Bang for the buck after 9 years!!!!
Be careful to avoid pot holes as the 19" tires could blow out!!! Maintain proper inflation!!! Other than that, still love the car. The android auto is awesome. The hands-free texting is a plus also!!! Still perfect after 3 & 1/2 years of flawless transportation. Perfect blend of comfort and a sporty ride!!! As the car is now just over 6 years old with 32,104 miles on it, STILL LOVE IT!!! Pretty much maintenance-free; just oil changes, tire rotations, and some regular maintenance. On trips mileage is 38 MPG plus. Have replaced carpet mats with upgraded mats, that's all. Now at just over 40,000 miles, just getting ready for a brake job, fronts only!!! Still almost smells like new inside and simply couldn't be more happy about a car that is just over eight years old. Still zooming along with just regular maintenance, simply a great no headache means of awesome driving as of 01-15-2025!!!

Not the ride I expected....
I expected the Honda Accord to have a smooth ride with great pick up ... It did not... There was a constant vibration in the steering wheel, while driving at 60 mph... Very disturbing on a new car... Wondered what would happen over time... Decided not to trust the reliability of Honda products any longer after having so many recalls on my current Hondas 3 of them to be exact... Even the new 2016 Honda Civic has already 2 major recalls... It is to bad Honda does not stand behind their products or care about their loyal customers... Hello brand new Toyota Camry.

Wow! As Good as the TL I traded in
I traded in my 2004 Acura TL for a 2016 ex-L 6 cylinder Sedan. Pros: Looks great, gas mileage on the highway is 34 mpg and 26 around town. Love the steering....almost a modified rack and pinion feel. The 6 cylinder has great acceleration, yet great regular gas mileage. Comfortable and good leg room in the back seat for guests. Trunk has plenty of space. What's not to love? Cons: I've gotten used to the all touch screen electronics. I would prefer a modified tech package with some commonly used functions having buttons vs. touch. Touch often forces you to take your eyes off the road, although the radio volume and channel changes can be done from the steering wheel. I don't miss my TL much - this car is a real winner. Honda should be using this great 6 cylinder engine in more of their vehicles.

A good, decent car!
This is my second Honda Accord. First one was a 2001. Very pleased with that car. I got this one because I wanted Apple CarPlay (love it), V6 and leather. Overall I like the car, it's an accord, pretty standard vehicle, you can't go wrong. Three dis-appointments: 1) The leather is a cheap leather, not like I had in the 2001. Feels like plastic. 2) There is no change box (strange I thought all cars had a place for change), 3) There is not quick way to mute the stereo, you have to press two buttons. Pain to do when your driving. Other than those things it's a great car.

Reliable Comfort at Reasonable Price
If you are looking for a car that performs the way you would expect a higher priced model to behave, such as an Acura or Lexus, but at a more reasonable price, this is the car for you. If you really want to stomp on it the car will really go. But we are much gentler drivers and have only put 10,000 on the car in a little over a year. It is the first new car we have purchased that has not had even a single nit-picky issue during those 12 months. Navigation and Honda Sensing function effectively once you become accustomed to using them, and accept the fact that they are merely "driver assist" features and don't expect more. We are completely satisfied with the value it offers for the price we paid.

Great car
The car has great fuel efficiency without paying the price of a hybrid. There is a lot of trunk space. I have not had any problems with the car. The thing I do not like about it is that the tires are very loud.

2016 Accord V6 EX-L with Nav, etc.
The only feature of this car I do not like is the infotainment system, which is overly complex and unintuitive. Also, be sure to make the dealer FULLY demonstrate the use of this hodge-podge system. Otherwise, a great drivers car, even for tall people.

Great car!!!
This is our third Honda accord LX lease, after 11 yrs with a f-150 truck decided to go back to the Honda. Let me start with fit and finish are second to none interior seems well built. The back up camera is a nice feature, but all view angles out of the windows are easy to see. Instrumentation is very well laid out and easy to use(lot more features than our 07 accord) The CVT transmission is great but a little getting used to, horse power is rated at 185 which perfect for merging into traffic, but still getting great gas mileage. Breaks....what can I say it's a Honda, great stopping power and peddle feel. Looked at the Toyota, but they just don't have the fit and finish of the Honda.

Well I like it but I probably will not buy another
First of all, I drive about 50 miles one way to work Monday through Friday. Part of the time I am on winding two lane roads, up hill and down with sharp corners. The Honda handles REALLY well on this part of my drive and I enjoy it BUT, this automatic deceleration in the transmission is weird and a little annoying going down a steep grade. 3/4's of my drive is highway to downtown. Some stop and go traffic. Now I admit, I'm over the age of 50 and I sit behind a desk for a living. While I don't have back problems there are nights when traffic is bad and it takes two hours to get home. The seats in this car are why I bought it but I find that it just doesn't make the long road test perfectly. I am uncomfortable and achy by the time I get home. The seats aren't either firm enough of adjustable enough even with the lumbar support. I love the techy nature of the accord and I LOVE the way it looks (the wheels are cool. Seriously). This is certainly a vast upgrade over the Prius I used to drive which felt like I was sitting on a cardboard box after a while but I recall a Nissan Altima that had better seats for the long distance. When my lease is up, I probably will give this car up and go to either a Subaru or some other AWD vehicle that is somewhat comfortable. Update: 3 years in and lease is up. I will note that this car has held up VERY well as Accords do. I would highly recommend it if you aren't in the car a lot like I am. Also, it still looks great, the interior has done very well and I'm at 82K miles. My resale value will be high. I'm happy about that. Also, I fell in love with the remote start this year. It's the best. For me, I'll move on to a car fit for a Super Commuter. But yes, this is a good car.

Great value for a great car!
There is a reason they sell so many of these things. 2.5 years and it is running like brand new, maybe even better. Not a single thing has gone wrong. My only gripe is a somewhat confusing and below average infotainment system which I believe they have improved on subsequent models. (ETA: After another year the infotainment/bluetooth system is even more frustrating. I really do hope they improved that after 2016. That brings my rating down a star for me.)

Overall, I'm satisfied. My only real gripe is the weak stereo. Really brings down the otherwise outstanding Honda! After some lengthy drives of over 4 hours this car lacks in comfort as well.

What a Great car!
This is one of the best cars we've ever owned. We get 35 mpg around town all the time and 39 to 41 on the highway and this is not a hybrid. The only real problem we've had is to replace the battery. It has a very comfortable ride and a quiet cabin. It handles almost like a race car and has excellent disc brakes. Would definitely recommend this car. Even after owning this car for nine years we have had no problems with it, with the exception of changing the battery. It seems 2016 has been a very good year for Honda. All we do is keep it washed, and change the oil and filters when needed. The only thing I would change would be to get the car with navigation capability. I have it on my Honda Pilot and it has been very helpful. New cars are now so expensive that it pays to keep what you have maintained.

Nice car but needs tweaks
There are two info screens which doesn't make any sense. As well the lane sensor only works on the passenger side, which again is not logical. I like seeing the indicators on the side mirrors which the Accord doesn't have. The middle storage/armrest is too short-not long enough for both the passenger and the driver to comfortably rest your arms. The trunk is a decent size but the opening into the back seat area is small. Finally the rims are ugly unless you get the sport or the V6. I love the look of the car but there are too many things I don't like about it. I'll wait to see what they do with the 2018 version.

button start ignition problems
2016 Honda accord 2 door v6 limited – startup push button problem occurred after about 50k kms. Starts sometimes just fine and sometimes sounds like the engine is grinding making noise but does not start. Break pedal is hard to press to start and was not like that at the beginning, my leg feels sore after a while and my wife does not want to drive this vehicle any more. I was going to purchase new Ridgeline pickup but not any more. I do not trust Honda fixed this problem. Toyota will be my choice from now on, I have Toyota Venza and it runs like new but the car is 8 years old. I hope that Honda pays attention to more and more complains.

Purchased 2016 Accird, great safety features, great looks without the thousands of dollars spent on imports like BMW or Mercedes. For the money best sedan out there. Honda has stepped up their game and come out with another great Accord. 6 months and more to love about this car. 28 mpg makes a trip to the pump once every 10 days

Working with Edmunds helped us find my perfect car and their prices were spot on. Edmunds saved me a lot of research! I still love this car - have had a Honda since 1999 and feel that this 2016 Accord is the best yet! 2018 - My Honda never disappoints and is a pleasure to drive. Still think it is the best ever!

Accord V6 is a great ride!
Test drove Toyota Camry, Accord Sport, Mazada 6 (Standard) was very compelling, and this was the best drive. I like the seats on my old VW Passat a little better, but so fart that is the only little disagreement. I like that it takes regular unleaded, the oil filter is an actual filter, and it is not too hard to get at.

Sporty! Zippy! And Reliable
Eight years ago I was on the hunt for a mid-sized sedan with a manual transmission. I discovered that there are precious few of these being sold in the North American market. Even foreign car manufacturers, like Volvo and Toyota, stopped making them. (I was taken aback when a mechanic told me that if want a Mazerati or Porsche with a manual transmission, you have to special order it.) After looking for nearly a year, I heard that Honda makes an Accord stick model. So I called the dealer, and whaddaya know, they had just gotten a used one in that had been a sales rep's vehicle at their Ohio factory. I went right over and drove it. Two guys were waiting to drive it when I returned to the dealership. I went in and signed the papers to buy it, and have never had a moment of regret doing so. I've owned a series of manual transmission cars, starting with a VW in 1965. My Honda Accord is undoubtedly the best one I've driven. The transmission is smooth, the ride comfortable, the steering responsive. For my first trip, I drove it to West Virginia and had a blast driving it on the narrow, twisting mountain roads. It has good acceleration for passing, gets great gas mileage. On the two-hour trips at 55-60 mph to our cabin, it regularly gets close to 40 mpg. And it looks good: red with 16" wheels. The downside of the larger wheels is that traction is not as good in snow, a liability in northern Minnesota. In 2021 Honda discontinued the manual transmission Accord. I intend to keep mine as long as possible. So far, the car has needed only a couple of minor repairs. I love driving it. Great car.

Typical Honda value and reliability, but sporty
I purchased this car 13 months ago from a Honda dealer with 3K miles on the odometer, it was actually titled to the Honda service department, but it wasn't their loaner. I got almost a new car at a fair price and it came with a CPO warranty with the remainder of the original warranty. I now have 10k miles on it after 13 months. My driving time is split between this and a 2006 Toyota Tundra. Last year my sister needed a car so I sold her my 2013 Nissan Altima. I wanted to update to something mid-sized, sportier, economical, reliable, quiet on the inside, and not break the bank. I also wanted updated electronics (which the Altima was actually pretty good, and in some cases better), something to interface with my smartphone with ondash controls for Pandora, Amazon music, etc. The selection is pretty slim in coupes with that criteria these days, so after considerable research and looking, this coupe was basically the logical choice. But I almost changed my mind after test driving a V6 EX-L model (2016), it met all my criteria except the engine and road noise was too loud and unacceptable. I think my mind was already made up before the drive and I wanted so bad to love it, but just couldn't. I was back at square one without Honda as a choice, but luckily I decided to give the 4 cylinder a chance when a really good deal popped up on the radar at my local dealer. In the first mile of the test drive I thought I was in a different car, it was quieter and much smoother. So I made the deal. Now for ownership: the trunk space is excellent- it has a lot of room for a coupe which also expands with the fold-down seats. The interior is very good quality, but I detest the piano gloss black finish on the console. The electronics are good, interface with my Android very good*, but the audio is abysmal- which was my first project to improve. *One quirk with the interface is the difference in functionality between Bluetooth and the USB connection. For full use of on-screen control and additional features you need to connect with a USB cable, an inconvenience when you're in and out of the car on short jaunts around town. The seats are very comfortable and provide plenty of support, and does anybody really care about the comfort of rear seats in a coupe? The visibility is pretty good and the blind-spot camera/monitor in the passenger mirror is a bonus. Handling is excellent, steering feedback a little vague, acceleration pretty good for a 4 banger, but mileage is excellent and even better if you drive economically. I drove the first 1K miles in normal mode and have been in 'Economy' since, it added a few MPG to my already miserly driving habits. The headlights are fantastic, and the CVT is as smooth as it gets. On that note: my primary reason for first wanting a V-6 was not for performance (ok, maybe a little bit), but for a normal 'geared' transmission. I like the CVT's but am wary since most problems almost always require a new replacement transmission (and few transmission shops work on them). At least the typical transmission can be repaired or rebuilt (and not necessarily at the dealer!). Now for a few of the cons: the exterior panel fit could be a little better. The gaps around my hood are not equal, especially by the hinge mounts, even the gas door protruded which I remedied. Badging: this may be inconsequential to most everyone, but please Honda- I don't need a rear "H" emblem someone a quarter mile away can read! You almost foiled my attempt to remove/replace it with the 2 locating/mounting pins, but I managed. The car came with low profile rims/tires, which demand attention when parking and driving near curbs. The ride is good considering that fact, but the OEM Bridgestone tires developed noise at 7k miles and are loud at 22K (11/21/20). I would've preferred a normal size rim/tire combo. Overall, if you're in the market for an affordable, reliable 2-door car, you can't ignore the Honda Coupe. If you're comparing this to Camaro's, Mustangs, Challenger's, etc., don't- you're in the wrong park. If you don't already know why, I won't be able to explain it to you. Update 11/21/2019: Not much new to report, I like the fact Honda Link relays the mileage to my Honda dealer to let me know when oil change due, which the first one was included with sale (synthetic at that). Update 11/21/20: I'm up to 23K miles with no substantial changes other than the OEM tires continue to get louder, which I'm surprised since they're nice Bridgestone's. I noticed a rattle yesterday somewhere in the dash, annoying- but hopefully I can track it down. Update 5/23/21: 28K now, rattle gone, only lasted 2 days. Tire noise almost warrants replacing but plenty of tread left. MPG incredible in Econ mode, drove back from VA to SC, 476 miles and only used 10.8 gallons of gas, cruise control set at 69 mph. No other issues or problems.

Problem Free for 5+ Years Now
One of the things I hate, hate, hate is cars with issues, be they major or minor. After a nightmare experience with an Audi, I was resolved to find a nice car that did not carry ownership headaches. I found it with this Accord. I bought it in April of 2016; this review is being written in Nov of 2021, and I'm sitting here scratching my head trying to think of any problems I've experienced with this car and coming up empty. Of course, I've maintained it per the mfr schedule, and recently put a new set of tires on it. I know I had to replace the battery a year or so ago, but that's it. The car still looks great and drives great.

The best Honda yet
This car rides beautifully, securely, confidently whether it's on dry or wet roads. I absolutely love this car. If you want a car that looks great, super reliable, with a great ride, attention to quality and high resale value, Honda is the best. Forget cheap Nissans and boring Toyotas. No one beats Honda. Hondas last longer and it's a better buy than Mercedes, BMWs, Audis and Lexus.

What a pile of junk!
Coming from a Ford fusion sport that was 5 years old, this thing is a HUGE disappointment. Very poor design and functionality. I can't adjust the seats to what I need to support my long legs. The stereo doesn't stay on after the engine is turned off, every other car in the world does this. Stereo is the worst sounding I've heard in a new car since my 1997 pontiac grand prix. Infotainment system is clunky and hard to use, not intuitive in the least. No rubber trays in the bottom of the cup holders and interior storage trays, things rattle and slide and it's way more difficult to clean. The rear seats don't go down after you pull the releases, you have to open the rear doors and pull down on the seat backs. The camera on the passenger side makes no sense when your biggest blind spot is on the left. The drivability of this car is the worst of any vehicle I have ever owned including a 31 year old truck truck with warped brake rotors that stops smoother. The transmission is AWFUL, I have never experienced a normal automatic transmission that behaves like this one does. Sport mode seems to make it behave worse if that is possible. From a stoplight I sped up to 45-50 mph then let off the gas, the car stopped on its own before I got to the next light. Going down a hill starting at 50 mph the car slowed down to 40 mph at the bottom and the tachometer was at 4,000 rpm. Even in normal drive you let off the gas to roll around a corner the car starts slowing down on it's own. Going uphill when you accelerate the car will lag for a second or two before it will downshift hard. The brakes will grab several times as the car slows down from 45 mph occasionally hard enough to snap my head back into the headrest. I cannot stand this car, I absolutely hate it with a passion. I should have stayed with Ford.

No so great.
Harsh, unsteady ride. Terrible wind and tire noise. Won't hold the road in turns (constantly over-correcting). Brakes beginning to fail, pedal goes almost to the floor before engaging. 2-inch dead zone in gas pedal. Gas pedal too soft -- constantly trying to find the sweet spot to the point of leg and ankle cramps. Rubber band CVT is awful! Poor visibility makes parking a challenge. Weak paint. etc...

Getting to Know & Love my Accord
I still like what I bought and loving the pleasant surprising features I am still coming across. I am @ 7100 miles; the most challenging obstacle is the instrumentation...they are not intuitive. I frequently have to reach out for the manual to get the appropriate settings. I am still on an experiential learning curve even after 7100 miles.

wonderful vehicle
new honda has better fuel economy, better acceleration, is larger and has many new electronic features. always enjoyed the accord and this maybe best one yet. Three plus years in now. Excellent vehicle. Honda quality and value. Highly recommended. Enjoyment has only grown. Loyalty to brand has increased as well. There is nothing not to like. Outstanding vehicle. Opinion only improves with time.

Need a boost
I leased this 2016 thinking I may keep this car. The interior is cheap (cloth) I paid over $500 for the spray on in and out to prevent stains etc. not worth a nickel. If I get another Honda it will be leather. I was very disappointed with the comfort for the driver and passenger. You feel like your in a corvette, low and barely tall enough (I am 5’8”) to feel safe to see out! Night driving the lights aren’t the greatest on high beams. I am however very pleased with the get up and go of the engine and quite happy about the fuel mileage I get average of 35-36mpg.

'16 sport
I went in to lease the Civic EX and wound up with accord Sport. I love the leather trimmed seats and paddle shifters. Gave up a lot of my favorite features of China Vic EX though...moonroof, technology stuff and safety features. But I went with accord because we are family of 4 and went with the extra space. By the way my wife says I am too young for the old people car (I am 36) because it is huge- it is bigger and than her Highlander! Check your garage space, this.car is gargantuan!

Good ride
It's a great vehicle I used it for work have not had any issues and have 23k miles on it so far added a cold air intake which I think is a must with this 4cyl you get better mpg and much better performece all in all a solid car would rather have bought the manual version tho next Accord will not be a cvt trans

30 mpg!! Average
Love the color and everything about this car... No more Camry, no more Chevy. No need for Lexus or High end Acura. Just get the v6 if you want more power. Got this 5500 off the sticker :)
