Great, reliable car. (One Issue corrected)
Car looks great, like new. Well maintained, always garaged. Reliable with approximately 26,000 miles driven. Gas mileage 26 - 35 mpg. Additional work; key fob batteries, new battery, interior air filter. Regular routine maintenance performed at Honda dealership. Update on June 15, 2022 // mileage at 29,000; ongoing maintenance at the dealer; no unusual repairs since the problem with the starter motor. All is well!

Has provided great service for 32k miles
This is my 3rd Accord, purchased new and driven very conservatively, by a low mileage driver. Hondas in general have a great reputation because they are well priced and very dependable. This generation was engineered for fuel economy as a major goal, so it was slightly downsized and lightened from the previous generation. These are the areas where they made changes for gas mileage, the tires are low rolling resistance type and give less traction in the wet, the interior is less comfortable as they removed padding, and the change to 0w 20 weight oil means the car now consumes about 1/2 quart in 3,000 miles. (which is the new normal as far as I can see.) The one other annoyance is the rear brakes, that make a clicking noise upon initial use. This is also normal. With the popularity of SUV's overtaking regular cars, resale won't be as strong as they have been historically but if your buy and hold it for 7 years or more it is a non factor

Surprisingly Reliable and Comfortable
I'd had no mechanical issues in the five years since I bought the car from Curry Honda in Atlanta other than a minor recall, and when I brought it in to the dealership for that, they found a bad bearing and replaced it under warranty. They also said I needed an alignment, and although I was dubious, I had them do it. Lo and behold, the car drove so much better after the alignment (the tire wear also bore out the need for the alignment). I was impressed. However, if I had it to decide again on the model, I'd go for the V6 rather than the CVT.

Few complaints
This is my second Accord. I had a 99 EX sedan before this one - this one is a 2014 Sport Model. I bought it certified used from Penske Honda in Indianapolis with 35,000 miles on it. I just passed 70k recently. I haven't had any mechanical or reliability issues with it at all, which is what I expected. The only complains I have are pretty minor and are as follows. The ride quality is a bit stiff - the roads around here aren't great, and I feel every bit of that in this car. Second, the material they used for the seats shows every little bit of dirt, dust, and grime on them and they are very hard to clean. My fiancee also doesn't think the seats are very comfortable, but I'm OK with them. All in all, great car. I'm amazed at some of the stupid stuff people gripe about on here. Anyway, happy motoring!

Great car
Best car I've ever owned. Good visability, solid fit and finish, roomy interior, and stable ride. Only complaint, rough ride over rough roads. Sold in 2019, but I miss her.

Wonderful solid sedan
Great gas mileage..28 to 29 city and 38 to 39 highway
Sad to say Honda has left me stranded
Just like other reviews left me stranded 3 times and had to upgrade my AAA due to starter, battery and now FCW it doesn’t even have 100000. The cost to take that FCW lights off is 1500. I love the inside and everything else, but it’s it dependable:(
Love it so far
I come from a 2005 PT Cruiser. I loved my little PT but so many car issues. I upgrated to this gorgeous 2014 Honda Accord LX with CVT transmission. Mind you, my bro is a mechanic. So I asked him what I needed to keep up maintenance. I've had the car for almost 3 years, and I take good care of it. Oil changes, new tires, now it needs valve gasket cover change but bought it for my bro to replace. The CVT is soo cool specially when going up the hills of Texas so smooth & I feel like im floating lol. Nothing bad to say about this car so far.. Its been good to me as I have been good to it. Im not nit picky on the interior, was a little dirty when I received (gently used 56,500 miles when I got it) But I put black seat covers & it looks nice..!! So In my opinion, I love this car. Looking forward to keeping it a while. Also, with the help of my super smart mechanic of a brother. I hit the jackpot.!!.

Perfect Daily Driver
I have a 2014 Sport M/T. Bought due to limited choice for manuals at the time. With 95k on it the car is as fun to drive now as it was new. Owned 525, S60 and V70 before buying and for driving fun and reliability this car wins hands down. In 2019 looked at GS350 F Sport and after several test drives just liked my accord better for everything except luxury. To show how great this car is I was looking for a used roadster in 2015 and drove mid 2000 z4 BoxsterS and S2000. With the exception of the S2K was happier driving the Accord. Probably just me but this really is a fun low cost car. Will keep it till it dies.

Awesome gas mileage and great pick-up
This Accord has never given me any trouble. It get up to 34 mpg and has plenty pick-up. Very responsive. It has really been a good, reliable car. If I had to complain, I would say the ride seems a tad stiff and the sound system needs improvement.

Honda Accord Sport black and sweet
Great mileage up to 38 mpg. Good in snow. Quiet Smooth Handles like a sports car.
Wanted to test reliabilty and cust support
I have both a Toyota and a Honda and wanted to compare the relabity and customer service. The 2014 Honda Accord had significant reliability issues. Two failed starters and one VSA modual. The repair cost was approx. 3600.00 dollars for a perfectly maintained car with 97,003 miles. The alarming thing was customer service would no discuss my issues talking over me during my questions, like why are parts tied to the car VIN number. I went to a VP at Honda America and they did get back to me, telling me they would try to help with a part that was scheduled for 3 months out, they were never able to help me locate a VSA brake unit, car was dangerous to drive without the feature, they stated do not drive the car. This is really far from what I saw in the past from Honda Customer service, and not competitive. My 2010 Toyota with 127,000 had no issues.

This car cannot be a 10 years old!
I just purchased a 2014 Honda Accord Sport for my 18-year-old son. The car has 134K miles on it with a clean CarFax that confirms that the 2 previous owners truly loved this car and took great care of it. The engine sounds like new and I know that it’s a different type of vehicle, but it rides so much smoother than my 2021 Subaru Outback. If I didn’t know this was a 10-year-old car, I never would have believed it. It just proves that older used cars do not have to be a penalty box.

Rear fold down seat is not split. An incredibly ignorant design Have turned in the 2014 for a 2016 Accord 6 cylinder. WOW!!!!!

Tried and tested....not much more
Purchased a 14 Accord EX-L Sedan, traded it in 6 months later. That about sums it up. Was looking for a roomy sedan (3 kids) and the Accord looked great on paper. It was wider and roomier than most of it's competitors (Passat, Camry, Impala etc) and had a stellar reliability history. Add that to the fact it was re-designed in 13, it sounded to be a winner! Got the vehicle for ~$3k under MSRP, I was overly pleased with the car. It was predictable in the fact that it had good resale value, great gas mileage, good maintenance costs of ownership and looks pretty good as well! The safety features were stellar, from side airbags to lane departure warnings and the awesome pass-side blind spot camera. Why did I trade it in so soon (and take a ~$3k hit financially?). It was....meh. Again, nothing against the Accord, it is a great vehicle, it just wasn't inspirational and, in my case, the best use of ~$25k. Ended up trading towards an older Lexus that I absolutely loved driving. PLUS - Good comfort, great interior materials for the EX-L (was actually worth the upgrade compared to the base LX/Sport model) - Great gas mileage, I'd get almost 40mpg on the highway and respectable almost-30 in the city - Roomy inside including the backseat - Good navigation and entertainment package, decent sound system and user-friendly Negative - Other than personal preference....actually not much. Price-wise it is competitive against a 14 Camry XLE similarly equipped (Camry rides plushier) - Car is predictable but uninspiring, it is a functional vehicle without much pizzazz This is based on my personal expectations and certainly my view. The 14 Accord is a great sedan, I can't be overly critical of it. Just wasn't for me.

I love it
Best car I have ever owned. Definitely worth the value.
In love with my Honda Accord!
I love the power, the MPG, the look, the features, the drive - EVERYTHING about this car! I have never been so satisfied with a car purchase!
Now we have numerous complaints about the car.
The car is like a crackerjack box on wheels. Very difficult to enter or exit the car. Very, very poor condition of car for delivery. Delivery condition of car was very dirty. Dealer did not tell us that the car had 85 miles on it intil the paper work was signed. Got rid of the car March 31, 2016. Bought a 2016 Toyota Camry. Did not hesitate to get rid of this vehicle as soon as I could. Again, Very little dealer support from Sunnyside Honda.

Good Service
Make sure you know all the feature you are NOT getting. Car is excellent but some features that would usually be expected because of other features are not there. For example the care has a backup camera but does not have XM radio.

Honda Accord Sport-good value among competition
Good car overall for the money. Good fuel economy, looks sporty, typical Honda dependability! Power somewhat lacking, as 4 cylinder torque and power can sometimes be frustrating when merging onto highway. Next car will be a V6......… Traded in for an Accord EX-L V6 November 2016, V6 an incredible balance of power and fuel economy with cylinder deactivation when driving economically.
