One of the absolute worst cars I've owned
When I got my 2016 Transit Connect Titanium wagon I was thrilled with the ride height, the different look of the body, the versatility. Fast forward 2 years and I absolutely despise this thing and wish someone would steal it. I'll start with the ride quality- it doesn't exist. Loud, rough, extremely unrefined... sadly more of all of those than I would have ever imagined. My 1984 Chevette rode better than this thing. Next, and as some other reviewers mentioned, the car very clumsily lunges forward when beginning to accelerate, brake, go around corners, etc. The horsepower in my Transit is the 2.5 which is honestly still a joke. It makes a TON of noise when having to accelerate hard but doesn't really do much else... like it doesn't go any faster, it just gets louder. Build quality isn't fantastic with several small issues like a constant smell of staleness or mold due to a water leak coming from under the dash that no Ford dealership can find. My suggestion- don't buy this unless you have no other choice (AND YOU ALWAYS HAVE ANOTHER CHOICE). You've been warned. *UPDATE* Have put another 13,000 miles on this thing and I still hate it. Most recently the plastic piece mounted to the side of the driver’s seated where the seat control is at broke off and is just hanging there. I’m not that big so it’s not like I’m putting hundreds of pounds on this thing to snap off like it did.

A great alternative to a SUV or a minivan
This vehicle is a best kept secret! Ford has not marketed this vehicle very well, and that is a shame, because it provides a great deal of space and flexibility. Extremely versatile with comfortable seating for 6 (with second row buckets) or 7 passengers (with second row bench seat) OR the 2nd and 3rd row seats either fold flat or are removable for lots of cargo. The Titanium version of the long wheelbase wagon is pretty plush and well equipped for the price. Mine has 2 leather bucket seats in each seating row which gives you a center aisle to access the 3rd row seats without having to fold down a 2nd row seat, Many of the modern tech conveniences are there -- rear camera with cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitor, proximity alert, Synch system which integrates with your mobile phone via Bluetooth and has a great navigation system that accepts voice commands. Good audio system which includes Sirius XM capability. Handles securely with a smooth ride and a small turning radius given the size of the vehicle. Minor inconvenience compared to other minivans is no powered sliding side doors or tailgate. Unusually, the windows in the sliding side doors open like in conventional rear doors and are power-operated. Considering the price point, it is lots cheaper than equivalently equipped minivans such as Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, Dodge Caravan, or Chrysler Pacifica and less cost than many large 3-row SUVs. Exterior styling is a bit quirky compared to a minivan or SUV, but that tall stance offers great interior room. You sit up high and have an excellent view out, and you can carry bulky, tall objects with ease that would never fit in most minivans or SUVs. This is one European import (made in Spain and derived from the Ford Focus) that is eminently worthy of consideration.

I don't know, I friggin' love this thing...
Hi guys... Well, i'm one of those guys that always dig "weird" "boxy" cars. I had 3 Honda Elements ( ie my favorite car of all time ), an FJ Cruiser ( served it's purpose ) and now I leased a 2015 Transit Connect Wagon. Mine isn't the Titanium but it's just below that. I actually built it from the ground up and my dealer was able to find one in Riverside CA and shipped to my dealer in Carlsbad. Where to start... I love this thing. Sure I have a one year old, but he lives with his mom up in Oregon ( long story ), but i'm one of those surfer/snowboarder/camper/bulldog owner kinda guys that likes to get out and have fun, but also likes comfort... I stumbled across this as I've always wanted a VW van but really don't feel like working on it everyday. My dealer gave me an amazing amount on the trade in of my FJ so I had to jump on it. I leased it as I always change my mind on cars, but this one I may actually purchase. I got the gloss black version as, if I purchase, will murder this sucker out and it will be all black ( rims / tint / etc ) and plus I didn't want to look like every other cargo van. Pro's: Overhead storage is so awesome Overhead mid storage ( option ) is also amazing. Similar to airline storage All seats fold flat. Mine actually stays that way all the time as I got the weather tech liner that goes from the back of the front seats all the way to the back doors. I'm only 5'4" so I can really lay out in this thing. Dual heat / AC zones. Great for camping. Heated windshield. No not defrost, heated... I'm interested to see how this works when up at the mountains. 180 degree opening doors. I opted for this vice the life rear gate as I wanted to mount all of my camping gear on the rear door panels, which worked out amazingly. Sound system. Opted for the best one the had and glad I did. The Navi and sound is great Mileage. I do mainly city driving but starting this week will be heading to Mammoth Mountain or Bear pretty much weekly. Getting 23.2 right now in the city which is light years ahead of my FJ. Turning fog lights. When not on constant, when you use your blinker, the side you are turning to lights up, making it so easy to see. Power outlets. One thing I love is that Ford puts fuses under the dash, as well as in the back. I was able to mount my power inverter and Bluetooth speaker, hard wired, into the fuse box for camping. And didn't have to run miles of cable Con's. Not a whole lot really. I'm anxious to see what it does in the snow. Only had since June and it's been flawless. You can hear some squeeks and such, but that could be that I keep all my camp gear in there at all times so it could be jossled around. Also, the sliding doors are now automatic, so you actually have to use your hands people. But hell, i'd rather do that than pay $50,000 for a Toyota minivan. My dealer also threw in a Thule roof rack. Now if there is a con, that is one of them, as putting that up is a pain in the "you know what". The don't give you any threads to bolt the rack in, so you have to use Jack Nuts to do it. Was my first time attempting but once I did one I was a pro. The Jack Nuts are about 14 bucks for 6 and a tool at Harbor Freight ran me 18 bucks, but my surf boards stay up there solid. Overall I love it, except now i'm seeing more people jump on the bandwagon and getting them. I'm working on making some rear curtains for a little more privacy, but it's basically done. I have all of the power outlets I need ( 2 3 prong in the pack and a bunch of USB up front ), mounted some extra LED lighting that come down and can be moved anywhere ( magnets hold up ) and mounted a cargo net on the inside roof for extra odds and ends while sleeping... Jump on the bandwagon and get the unminivan. You won't be disappointed... Thanx David

Transit Connect is a rare hidden find!
I purchased a Transit Connect Titanium Long Wheelbase. I purchased new in South Carolina and drove it to AZ. No regular minivan drives like a car as this vehicle. It handles great, 29 MPG on highway, the Titanium model has all the toys, Navigation, heated seats, leather, power seat, power folding mirrors etc. This vehicle is so poorly advertised by Ford as it is primary audience for sales is Commercial however it is a great designed vehicle. The seats although a bit tricky to fold the first couple of times fold completely flat. I've hauled furniture in this vehicle and mine has a tow package which tows small trailers with no effort. Anyone considering a minivan that does not want to pay 35-40k should consider this vehicle. Get the Titanium and not any model lower if you want the features of other vans. You wont get power slider doors or video entertainment for the rear passengers but you will get a incredible vehicle in all other aspects and you will soon forget once behind the wheel that you are not driving a sedan. Ford really needs to market this vehicle more mainstream because unlike the prior generation Transit Connect this one is a totally different vehicle. Forget the negative reviews for the cargo versions...you get what you pay for and a cargo van is a empty box! Check the Titanium model out and you will get a 7 passenger vehicle with the capacity to haul anything you want. If you shop a bit you will also get one loaded for 25-27k!

Would never buy a Ford again
I was very excited about ford bringing this newer style of Transit to the US. It perfectly fit my needs for a work vehicle that could also double as a passenger vehicle when needed. Initially everything was great, but over time, the amount of little things breaking is incredible and Fords attitude about the warranty and what it covered was phenomenally disappointing. As with many reviews I've read, the problems began when the plastic drivers seat valance completed broke off under 30,000 miles and I was told at 2 separate dealerships that Fords warranty does not cover their poorly designed parts and its my fault for breaking it. meanwhile, this part is in your way every time you enter or exit the vehicle and is bound to break. Next my rubber rain guards on the sliding doors fell off at 31,000mi, since ford sprung for double sided tape from a craft store to mount them. 1000mi later, my rear passenger seat gets stuck down, turns out that ford used plastic parts for the seat release mechanism which broke due to cold weather, and the replacement parts was (entire new rear seat) was quoted as $1500 plus labor at the dealership. Never again will I consider buying a Ford vehicle again, what a joke.
