2022 Ford Shelby GT500 Trims Comparison
2022 Shelby GT500 trim level differences
The 2022 Ford Shelby GT500 is an ultra-high-performance variant of the standard Ford Mustang. Powered by a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine (760 horsepower, 625 lb-ft), seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, the GT500 is available in only one trim level with extras limited to a handful of options packages. Standard features include:
Which 2022 Shelby GT500 trim does Edmunds recommend?
With just one trim level, there's not much to recommend. We'd add the Handling package for the additional suspension adjustability and the Technology package for the navigation, blind-spot monitoring and upgraded audio system. The Carbon Fiber Track Pack is tempting, but it removes the rear seat and reduces the GT500 to a two-seater (not that you'd likely carry many passengers in the back anyway). We suggest that the extra cost is better spent on the many sets of new tires you'll eventually need.
