I have had zero problems with this Ranger. It is at 120,000 miles and still running strong. Body is in great shape, very minor surface rust in normal locations - and paint looks very good. Vehicle has never been garaged and is in the Northeast.

When it's running, great little truck. First repair, thought it was the tranny and had bought a rebuilt one. Turned out, the big round clutch plate was quite worn down so I replaced that and put on the rebuilt tranny. 5 years later, had to replace the slave cylinder which involves dropping the drive shalf and backing off the tranny. After another 3 years, had to back off the tranny again, just enough to replace the bearings on the slave. 2 years later, master cylinder locked up, bent the small shaft in it. I'm In the process of changing out the Master cylinder but to find out after an afternoon of trying to get that clip in on the hose male plug into the Slave Cylinder female....it wasn't until I checked the box for a new clip did I learn the connection was entirely different. GRRRR! Now I have to drop the shaft and back off the tranny again to install the new slave! I was thinking the slave cylinder is not that old, still good.....maybe there's an adaptor to connect the new male plug into the old female......heck.I doubt it. But I just don't have the money.....I'm deaf in one ear all my life, worked many jobs and never went to school so....I'm really not a mechanic. I'm one of those types, if It comes apart, I can put it back together. I think I was 52 when I did the clutch. Now at 65, I know that tranny is going to be heavy. Wish me luck. Leo
