This is a good car for the money. Performance is good so far. I have done about 20000 miles in about 2 years, I would recommend this car. However Ford can improve gas mileage with some modifications and also build quality . This is a review being made after doing 10000 miles. The performance has been consistent. Sometimes the pickup is annoying. Gas mileage has been good. No issues till now.

Not the Gas Mileage Promised

The advertised gas mileage per gallon is inaccurate. I am a careful, safe driver. I do not accelerate quickly or brake suddenly. I have had the 2018 since November 2017 and have yet to achieve an average over 38 mpg.

Constant electrical issues

Rides nice, looks nice, has a nice computer. Except the computer doesn't work all the time. It seems like every 3-4 weeks I have to call the dealership to have them inspect or repair something. So far the drivers window would get stuck down, then it was the front passenger window (both had an issue going on with the sensor thinking it there was a block - first time happened in winter, which I can understand with moisture freezing up, next time happened in late spring which was a wtf). Anyways, got those issues fixed. (Past issue was the steering wheel recall, had no issues, took it in, they changed out a bolt.. cool.) Now it is that the sunroof wants to very sporadically work. Was shut and not opening no matter what I tried, and now it is stuck open and not closing at all. I'm lucky it is nearing summer, but I live in Seattle where it rains. Great car with some seriously [non-permissible content removed] electronics. Hate to say it, but this [non-permissible content removed] is tiring and makes me think it will be the last Ford I ever purchase.

Fun to drive until it spontaneously stops

This car has served me until now. I like driving it. One problem it has consistently had is sometimes it just won’t start. But if I walk away for a minute and come back, then it’s like nothing was ever wrong. A week ago however, I was driving down a fast, narrow country road, and it just stopped. Like, stopped. As though i was out of gas (but I had three quarters of a tank). I put the pedal to the metal and it didn’t respond at all. I had just enough time to coast to a stopping place, at which point, when i tried to drive forward, the entire car shook hard and clunked loudly three times then completely quit. In a dangerous location, I moved away from the vehicle and didn’t try again as I was quite shaken. It was towed to the dealership and they have had it for a week but can find nothing wrong. So they told me I just have to take my car back and wait until it does this again. Which is a super dangerous option. What if it stops on the freeway? Not cool. Not happy. All the great mileage in the world doesn’t matter if the thing is unreliable and unsafe.
