Used 2018 Ford Flex Consumer Reviews
Love my Flex
For me it's the visibility, spaciousness and comfort -rides like a couch. It's perfect for our family of 5 plus large dog. Previously had a Dodge Caravan RT and have never regretted it.

Awesome vehicle
One of the best vehicles Ford has ever made. You have to drive it and ride in it to really appreciate it.

nightmare on wheels
This car has been a personal nightmare. The cruise control wants to kill the transmission because it can't make a small rolling hill. The car will downshift a minimum of twice to three times just to maintain speed for a 200 foot length incline. So the general car ride you are constantly feeling acceleration or deceleration because the engine (cruise control) cannot maintain speed control unless it's perfectly flat. The safety features cause constant grief. First the car has to be in park to unlock anything. Which causes grief anytime a person is trying to open the trunk when I pull up to pick another person up. The doors also constantly locking themselves so that I am afraid to close the doors if the vehicle is running and I need to step out for a minute. The seat belts suck, I have one that doesn't recoil when you unclamp it. Which even the unclamping button for the seatbelt rips out my fingernail when I go to use it to lock or release the seatbelt. Then you have the push button to start the car feature has been the absolute worst. First, it doesn't have the standard selections that you would have with turning your key (accessory, on, off). Instead you press the button and try to get into the desired mode. Which you had best only want that mode for a small time limit, because the car will decide to shut off randomly if a few minutes pass. Then the keychain has a hard time 'detecting' to even start the car. I have replace the battery multiple times in hopes that might of been the problem. Unfortunately, the only problem was the keychain was absolute garbage and has drained the watch battery in the keychain 4 times in six months. The car also eats tires quicker than any car I've ever owned and I've had several (15+ in my lifetime). The alignment for the tires also gets knocked out, which the ford dealer wouldn't even admit. Even though the car was shaking violently, I guess that's how ford thinks their cars are supposed to run? I did eventually find a shop that did a realignment job and fixed this after a bit of grief. Then the next complaint is that the car is inconvenient to work on to do simple tasks such as change my own oil. The car has additional covers on the engine that has to be removed just so I can get to the oil filter and drain plug. I'm not sure what I would do if I didn't own my own car lift. The glovebox storage is also small and always has trouble latching due to the locking mechanism in place. About all I can have in my glovebox is the owners manual. I will never buy another ford in my life due to this car.

Love the Flex. This is our 3rd Flex. This is a replacement Flex for another one that we had that got in an accident. It's too sad that Ford stopped making the Flex.

Flexible, versatile, comfortable family vehicle
Why it’s so hard to make a three-row SUV with good third row legroom AND cargo space, I’ll never know. The Flex hits the mark and is probably the most versatile and practical vehicle I’ve ever owned. Despite its controversial stylings, you can’t beat the interior. It’s very comfortable and usable. Features are great too. Only complaints at 100k miles: 1) It has had interior rattles since we bought with 38k miles on it. They can’t be fixed easily. 2) The infotainment is a little frustrating when it comes to navigation to what you need while driving. For instance, simple tasks like turning on seat warmers or simply viewing interior temp take several steps on screen, which can be distracting while driving. Other than that, it has been the best vehicle we’ve owned aside from a mini van.

Ford Flex
Ford Flex is one of the best family cars ever. It should be updated and brought back to consumers as soon as possible.
Great doghouse!
Loved the car for three rows to tote the old people on excursions and the dog loves it too.
