Great 2004 F150
All I have to report is not the greatest on performance but a ton of power. The Ford Motor Company has done a great job on the years truck!

Wow!
My 2004 FX4 SuperCab has been nothing short of outstanding. The power for a 5.4L was a little weak at first, but I added a new air intake system and now the output is amazing. The engine is only a part of the story, as the design, build, and quality is bar none the best I've ever encountered. It has the smoothest ride of any pickup I've owned, as well as the quietest interior. The interior and exterior looks are outstanding too. I wasn't sure if the SuperCab was going to have enough room in the back, but the leg room is just fine. Another fine touch is that the rear side windows roll down. This truck is a keeper for many, many years.
Big time LEMON
All I want to say is that I upgraded from a 2001 Lariat to an 2004 new style in october and I already had the engine, transmission and some fan clutch replaced. A piece of the plasticy silver AC vents fell of. This was a big mistake for me. Ford lost me as a costomer. I plane on getting a Silverado SS January. STICK W/GM!
Ford Convert from Dodge
Upon deciding to buy the Ford, I had a hoorible start due to a faulty 4WD actuator on the first day of driving the truck. The dealer has been fantastik and has it ready to give back to me. On the service line, I was told the only reason the new '04s are in service has been for oil changes. The clanking noise mine made really stumped them at first. A bad hub was first diagnosed but that did fix the problem. Next they discovered the vacuumed actuated diaphragm was not fully retracting, thus causing the splines to bang together in 2WD. Since this was a simple fix, we are taking delivery again with great hopes all goes well.
