Vibrations!

There are some nice features on this truck that caused me to buy it over a GM. Styling is nice, the assisted tailgate is a great idea and the extra space behind the seats on the regular cab was a big selling point. The problem is that the truck has a vibration between 40-55mph that they just can't seem to fix. After lots of time in the shop and thousands of dollars in warranty labor and parts it's still not fixed. Based on comments on the forum this is a fairly common problem on these trucks. If you buy one, test drive it carefully to make sure you don't have the vibration. It's easily felt in the steering wheel and seat. If it has it walk away and try another one.

I purchased my loaded white 04' F-150 FX4 CrewCab and enjoyed every moment so far. It is the best. Acceleration is great for a vehicle that weigh's this much (5.4L 300hp highly recommended). I am a small guy, but with adjustable pedals, I sit comfortably from the wheel and get a good view. We own a 98' F-150 XLT with the same engine and with routine maintainance we never had a problem and she has 72k on her. I definately love the 04 F-150 and I wouldn't buy any other full-sized truck unless I get a better deal on a Ram 2500. I recommend the F-150. I give my truck a perfect "10/10".

Very impressive new design for this truck, had two prior full size Chevy Silverados, then most recently a Toyota Tundra, but the F-150 grabbed my attention. Nothing compared to the comfort when I drove this for the first time. The SuperCrew interior was far more quiet than any truck I've ever been in. The truck is very responsive in power, the handling is very reassuring over rough terrain and corners. I had to keep reminding myself that I was not in a luxury sedan. Gas mileage is good, even with the 300 hp under the hood. Definitely recommend the 18-inch wheels and tire combination, looks and handles awesome.

Ford has done an amazing job with this truck. The interior comfort of the Lariat along with the instrument design and leg room, front and back, is with out a doubt the best in the industry. The ride is firm while the new suspension is very forgiving. If you are in the market for a new truck, look no further than the new Ford F-150. And if budget allows, buy the Lariat!

Recently traded a Ranger on the new F150. I can't stop wanting to drive this vehicle. It is very quiet and powerful with the 5.4L Triton and we all know that Ford makes the best trucks and i certainly back them 100%. My F150 was a dealer demonstrator.
