Used 2003 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Consumer Reviews
F-150 Comparison to a Chevy TrailBlazer
Previously I owned a 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer SLT. I found towing my 16ft. aluminum boat on a steep grade to be rather poor with the (15.8 MPG Hwy) 5.4 ltr V8. Chevy's 4.2 inline 6 cylinder would have dragged this boat to the top while accelerating. I also found the Lariat package of my F- 150 to be rather lack luster. No heated seats nor the simplisity of a pocket on the back of the front seats. There's no storage room! For the price of this vehicle and the top-of-the-line Lariat package, it should have been much more.
Quiet and Smooth
Love the high ride, excellent visibility, and features. Fuel economy is very bad but you already know that. Bed extender is a must and skip the FX option if you don't go off road much and the ride will be smoother. Have traveled the West with 5K lb trailer and didn't know it was there. The roomy cabin served family of well with room to put in a 13 inch TV on the console for 2 kids. Purchased new and has 14K. Dealership has been very good. Nice Power when you need it. Excellent value.

Great Truck, Tons of Room
After having a 1994 Ranger STX, I'm hooked on having a pickup, but needed something I could fit the expanding family in. The Super Crew fit the bill perfectly. I'm 6'6" and this a very comfortable for me. It's great for the snow here in New England, and is easy to drive considering how big it is. The 5.4L has more than enough power to get this truck around. We have had it for 2 years with no problems, and the gas mileage is better than expected, as it's no worse than my Ranger which had the 4.0L V6
king of the road
I owned a silverado prior to buying this truck and the ford wins hands down. More room, comfort and capability makes up for what little difference there is in performance. My wife steals it at every possible opportunity.
Built Ford Tough
This is the second F-150 I have owned, and I would own nothing else. This truck is extremely stylish, reliable, fast, and very gas efficient for its size. I bought the last year of the "old" body style because I think Ford should have kept their styling the same into 2004 and on. I have added a K&N cold air induction system and I would recommend this to any owners, as it significantly adds torque and horsepower, along with gas mileage. I would also suggest adding dual exhaust as it adds a "head turning" sound and also adds horsepower and torque.
