2003 Ford F150 flareside, my new toy!
This is my second F150, and this is also my second great experience with Ford trucks. Why buy a compact truck when for the same money you get a heavy duty truck with twice the cab room and payload. It rides like sedan, and gets you to 75 mph (only the 6) with no problems. Of course, I wish the milage was the same as my Rav 4, but you can't have everything, at least not in the 03 model.
The King Ranch, not just for Texas
I really bought the truck because I loved the King Ranch interior. It is very comfortable, rides well and is really nice on the open road. I wasn't sure I would like the smaller V-8, but it is more than enough for the weekend driving I do. We have had a severe winter with a lot of smow and the 4 WD came in very handy.

2003 ford truck
great truck for the money. Quality is exellent.
Typical Ford Truck
I rated the mileage at a 7, but honestly it is on par for the type vehicle it is. But it is costly for just running around town. It has been on several long trips with 4 and luggage and actually performs well on the road. Super low end torque for trailer towing. Rides smoother than most cars and handles pretty good as well.
Ford Guy for 45yrs
5.4 V8 really cranks up. After 45yrs of driving Ford cars, vans, P.U.s, this Super Crew is the top performer and a great handling package. As an ex racer, I drive the wheels off this truck. But the General Grabber AW tires are AWful and squeal from bad traction, almost dangerous in rain. With good tires (BFG T/A Radial type) I will out drive most. Interior is great and with a bed cover, I carry anything and everything.
