Only had one problem with this vehicle.Only happened once; bogged down while going down highway. Pulled over - shut off engine - waited a couple of minutes and it started right back up and has not happened again since (months ago). Like the style and plenty of room in back seats for adults; the rear seat air conditioning is excellent. Recommend the hard cover option for the bed. Keeps items dry and helps gas mileage. I keep my foot in it and still get 20MPG highway.

Has good acceleration, comfortable to ride in, easy to handle. The side rails are a must have if you're going to use it as a family car. I thought the moonroof was just an extra expense - boy was I wrong. It's great for evening drives. If you open the moonroof on the open road, you need to open the rear windows a little to cut the roar; if you don't the interior is very noisy.

I went from a Ford Ranger to a Explorer Sport Trac. and I love it. In the past I have also owned a Bronco, Bronco II, and a F150. The Sport Trac is easy to drive and park. I breed and show dogs so it is very nice to have a truck to fit all my supplies and my two 80 pound dogs when I go away for a weekend show. The truck handles very well. And is great in the snow. I will be buying another Sport Trac next year. They are great.

This is my second SportTrac. I was extremely happy with the first until a little old lady in a '71 Lincoln sled totalled it. I came away from the accident with only bumps and bruises and was as impressed as thankful.I turned around and purchased another ASAP. It has performed well in inclement weather and off-road. The 4.0 liter has plenty of guts, the interior is comfortableand seats five easily. Granted, the bed is small but I don't need a full size truck. This is a niche vehicle and fits perfectly into my niche. Unlike the Avalanche it also fits perfectly in my garage. A lockable, removeable hard tonneau cover is a great accessory. This truck draws stares and lots of thumbs up!
