Used 2003 Ford Expedition Consumer Reviews
Squeeze the Lemon
ABS and Advance-trac have been repaired 3 times. Drivers seat was totally replaced for bad seat motor. Front rotors, calipers and pads replaced at 13k. Now the Door Ajar light stays on after re-closing all the doors to make it stop. This is one big Lemon!
2003 Unhappy
So far its spent most of the first month in the shop now Ford tell us that the clunk we hear on downshift and upshift is 'normal'. We'd like to trade it for something else.

Love My Ford!
Absolutely impressed with my truck.Looks much better than Escalade.Runs and rides smooth and quiet.Fit and finish is superb. No rattles, everything is solid.Has all the gadgets and all the gadgets work well.Sold my F-150 with 245,000(original engine, trans., and rear-end)to purchase 2003 Expedition.I think I have another great Ford on my hands.Sold 1988 F-150 for $3,500, still running great.Mechanic checked compression and said all of truck still great.Friend just traded in a 2001 Dodge with broken engine(for ANOTHER DODGE!)Suckers can have their Dodges.I want nothing but a Ford, thank you.A Chevy might do if Ford didn't exist.Thank God Ford does exist!
Expethrilledition
Our $33.5 Eddie Bauer 5.4L 2WD model offers plenty of power and handles very much like a car, little hint of the 5,600 pounds around you. I considered the 4.6L but recommend the bigger V8. The $700 extra and 1 MPG sacrifice are worth if for all but a few drivers. MPG over 8K miles has been 14-17, averaging 16 C/H. Ergonomically correct for this 6'2" driver throughout, this is one of Ford's best ever, drive it and you'll agree (I don't work for them).
Luv this SUV
We were going to buy the BMX X5 but, why spend 50k when when you can get so much more vehicle less money? I get more head turns in my Silver Birch Expedition than I would have in a "soccer mom" X5.
