Escape two!

Second Escape, our first was awesome, reliable and trustworthy. 80,000+ miles. This new one doesn't have the V6, but the wife and I felt we really don't need that extra cost. 4cyl is enough, its no race horse but it cruises nicely. Fit/finish is great! Love the Sync option. Wife is main driver and she likes way it drives. I like the safety options Ford has put on these Escapes now.

Good SUV for your money

A very good car for your money and relatively fuel efficient. And if you don't mind getting the last year's model, you'll get almost $10,000 in discounts!!! On the good side, the exterior design with lots of chrome is a crowd winner. Interior is of good quality, nice fit & finish. You sit up high with great outward visibility. Controls are logically layed out. Seats are comfy. Fuel economy for 3.0L AWD and 6 speed auto averaged 12L/100km. The cabin is hushed but not noise-free. Engine is not growling under pressure, which is good. Suspension is tuned for comfort, eats up road imperfections well.

Very happy with our new escape. Had a transmission recall already but very easy to fix. Don't believe the mileage they tell you that you'll get. I'm averaging 17 in town but did get 26.7 on the highway already. All in all, we're happy with it for the reasonable price we paid.

Great mileage

Averaging 27 mpg combined highway and city driving. Has all the creature features and comfort you expect in an American car. Suttle engine vibration concerned me at first but Ford states it's part of having a big 4 cylinder- will get used too. So far so good.

V6

Actually it's the V6 not 4 cyl. But it drives great! Had a lot of cars and a couple trucks, Chevy and Toyota but this truck beats them out! Reliable, small enough to maneuver, not too quick but it's not slow. Gets the same average mpg as my 01 celica. Takes bumps and semi sharp turns and dips like a champ! Taking it camping to Oregon soon. I love this Truck!
