Great Car
This vehicle has met my expectations since my very first test drive. It was great to feel the smooth acceleration as I stepped on the gas and listened to the mighty little 3.0 come to life. It handles the road and curves like something that you might expect in a European concours. It's been loyal and fun to drive and my girls, the 100 lb. yellow labs, love it too!
comme ci comme ca
i bought my car with every possible feature yet it doenst even have a trip computer or a compass and every other time i drive it, the back up sensor device beeps solidly when in reverse and then out of no where it works just fine. the other day i had to turn the key three times before it started??? and it only has 700 miles on it

Great SUV, fun to drive!
After only driving cars, I wanted something bigger, especially since I have a child now. I researched alot of vehicles and liked the reviews on this one. With 5 star crash test ratings, and its reasonable price, you can't go wrong. I feel safe driving, and it's alot of fun. The only drawbacks are the noisy ride, and the crappy CD player (it ate 2 of my CDs!). Other than that, great little SUV!
Handles like a sports car
I wanted an Explorer, but when I drove the Limited, I was hooked. It comes with everything. No complaints. I have yet to see another one on the road and its great to see heads turn. Its fun driving something no one else has.
Transmission Problem
We have driven this car approximately 3000 miles, with no problems. It is a pleasure to drive in the snow and ice, and has a lot of nice features. However, at 10,000 miles the transmission went out. Three different Ford service departments have told me that the problem is that a transmission cooler is installed on the Escapes that causes the fluid to "gel" in cold weather, and "Ford is working on the problem". Since then I have talked to two other owners who have experienced the same problem.I would not recommend buying this car until they fix this problem.
