Transmission problems
I bought my Escape new, but unfortunately I didn't buy the extended warranty. Even thought it was well maintained, at 54,000 miles the transmission failed. I had it towed to a Ford dealer, and then had to get a rental car to get home, since I was out of town. It cost me over $3000 to get the transmission replaced, plus rental car expenses, with no help from Ford customer service. I can't recommend this car for reliability, since I've since heard of others with similar problems.
My Escape
I love driving this vehicle, it's fun. It's not to big & not too small and drives like a car.

An overall winner!
After 6+ months with the Escape, I still have an high opinion of this SUV. Its spacious interior and great V6 engine are definitely best in class. Reliability has been excellent with no problems.
Cute, Peppy, Sporty, Fun!!!
I bought this truck about a week ago and I can't stop driving it around! Its my first SUV and so far my experience with it has been wonderful! I love just about everything about it. Its comfortable, its peppy, and its a powerful truck in a compact size. I highly reccommend this vehicle to anyone looking to buy a small SUV with the power of a big truck.
