Used 1998 Chrysler Town and Country Consumer Reviews
Phenomenal upscale family hauler
What a great minivan. We bought it anticipating the birth of our 3rd baby, and it has delivered in a big way. Roomy, quiet, comfy, plenty of gitty- up, all the bells and whistles. We especially like the quad seating, which allows access to the 3rd row without getting out. Average 18 mpg, wonderful family hauler. We like it so much we're looking for another Chrysler for me!
Chrysler Mini van
Excellent vehicle to drive. Love the heated seats! Air conditioning is excellent in front and back.
Loved Owning It
I'm about to trade in my 98 Town and Country for a newer, but used, one. Except for wishing it had a moon roof, its lower ground clearance than my previous Toyota Previa had, and wishing the 3rd row seats folded down flat into the floorboard, there's not a thing I would change. Now that it's got about 80,000 miles on it, I'm looking at a 2000-2002 upgrade of the same vehicle.
Grand Caravan Sport
One of the most pleasant driving vehicles there is on the open road. A nuisance to get around town in for me. My wife has no trouble. Heads had to be milled about 120,000 and rear wheel bearing went at 90,000. Driver's side electric window motor was replaced. Overall,a good vehicle, but would buy the shorter version.
The perfect vehicle
This van has been the perfect vehicle for us. I have hauled 4x8 sheets of sheetrock and paneling with all the seats in and out. 12 ft. long 2x12's also fit with the rear door closed. All the seats are comfortable, rear heat/air c. works great, and the compass/mileage calculator/miles till empty feature is near priceless. AWD has been a great feature on our snow & ice covered streets/highways in Minnesota. After 10 yrs.& 118000 miles, we have replaced the battery and tires twice, front brakes once, at 100K. That is it for repairs. Mileage is 23 hwy & 16 city. Quite acceptable for me. We love this van.
