Joe's car

My New Yorker has been a good performer both around town and for long trips on the interstates. My passenger needed rest and the adjustable seat was a godsend. The timer belt went out around the 60K level. Two side chrome strips have fallen off, but unless you knew they were there, its not noticeable.

What a deal!

My family of four has enjoyed this luxury sports sedan for over four years now. It has provided up to SIX members of the "lard-as" family as we are called, with several trips to TCBY and Dairy queen for hevenly treats when the temperature has been a 100+ degrees. It has very reliable. The only complaint is that I have had to replace both tie rod ends, this may be because my wife has swerved to try and run over me more than once...Not really! I would recommend this car to anyone. Go Chrysler, Go!

1994 NEW YORKER / PERSONAL REVIEW

I really like my New Yorker. It's quick, handles nicely, large enough for five adults and has a trunk like a cavern. But for the trunk area, it cuts a sleek profile. Weak points: That big trunk makes it hard to see when in "Reverse", the vehicle has above-average road noise and the headlights are mostinadequate. I won't trade it until the wheels fall off, though.

Purchased new, now 176,000 miles and I still love the car. Bought 100k extended warranty, Used for seized up water pump at 78,000, transmission at 97,000. Also had problems with a/c. No major problems in last several years. I can't find a new car for $40,000 that would offer more car than this one and make me feel I got my money's worth.

New Yorker Love-Hate Relationaship

We have had our New Yorker for 110,000 of its 138000 miles. We love the roominess, trunk space, and the appearance. We feel that it offers more combined passenger/cargo space than large SUVs and still drives like a car. The big drawback has been reliability. We have replaced the transmmission, sttering parts, and the front axles and wheel bearings. Mechanics tell me to expect transmission #2 to go out in about 40-60000 more miles.
