Used 1999 Chrysler Cirrus Sedan Consumer Reviews
Great car the first seven years.
We bought this car in January 1999 and have had no major problems with it. Over the years it has given us dependable service with minimum cost. It has lots of spunk and pep and handles well on all roads. A pleasure to drive on the interstate at max speed. Comfortable seating for four. Could have had better cup holders.
I love my Cirrus
On the whole, I love this car.The only problems I have had have been the sun roof getting locked up whenit was open, and having the front seat bolts come loose, causing the seat the wobble. Both occurred while car was still under warranty. Driving the car is a pleasure, though I do not get the gas mileage others have reported.
Nice but.....
Had some problems with power-steering, needed new pump or rack (dealer could'nt pinpoint problem) I find the steering still to heavy. Also find the LXi suspension too stiff. the front brakes seems to be rotated every 10.000 mls.
Good overall everyday car
Have had this vehicle from dealer, it has been a very good car. It has had the water pump replaced, the transmission gaskets replaced twice but all under warranty. It is now burning some oil but I have 74000 miles on it, we don't drive it very much. After the initial problems worked out it has been reliable. We loved the sportiness of the vehicle, it looks very sharp with the alloy wheels. I would recommend this car to anyone. The cup holders in the back are poorly designed and needs more room in the middle compartment(ours broke). It has a lot of power for a V-6 also which has been nice to have when needed on the highway. Overall a 9.
Love the Cirrus!
I bought the car in January with 112,000 kms (previously only had 1 owner), and now it's got 132,000 kms and I still haven't brought it to a mechanic. We will bring it in for a check up before our third trip to see if everything is good. There's some squeakiness from the front end when going on bumps, but that's about it.
