2025 Chevy Suburban Trims Comparison
Which 2025 Suburban trim does Edmunds recommend?
We're big fans of the Suburban's available 6.2-liter V8, which is why the RST trim would be our choice. It's the least expensive way to get GM's venerable eight-cylinder in this big truck, which in our testing thrust the Suburban's substantial bulk to 60 mph in just 6.7 seconds. The RST also comes with a number of features that enhance the Suburban's looks and comfort, and a handful of option packages are available to further enhance its appeal.
2025 Suburban trim level differences
The 2025 Chevrolet Suburban is a three-row full-size SUV that is essentially a stretched version of the Chevy Tahoe, offering more passenger and cargo room. Most versions seat eight passengers, though a nine-seat configuration is optional on the LS, and some trims have a seven-seat layout. It's available in six trim levels: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier and High Country. All except the High Country come standard with a 5.3-liter V8 (355 horsepower, 383 lb-ft). A 6.2-liter V8 (420 hp, 460 lb-ft) is optional for the RST, Z71 and Premier trims and standard on the High Country. There's also a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel (305 hp, 495 lb-ft) engine that's optional on every Suburban trim. All powertrains are matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard for most models, and four-wheel drive is available on all trim levels and is included with the Z71.
