The best vehicle I've ever owned (Z71 package)

This is the third Suburbans I've owned in less than an year. Bought this one with 265,xxx miles on it and tuned it up a bit... Drove it almost 1,000 miles weekly to test its reliability and for work, etc.. then drove it across the country in 3 days after 270K with some of the existence problems in the transmission and other components but it didn't even break down once since. Others might said that GM makes unreliable vehicles. Suburbans are the best! I would recommend anyone buy the similar used Suburbans of the 8th and 9th generations instead of the present generations!

240k & STILL Running STRONG!

We purchased out Burban NEW and 240k miles she still looks like the day we drove it out of the showroom. I have to replace the fuel pump next weekend and that's it. Over the years, we (KNOCK ON WOOD) have had minimal problems even while pulling our 2007 27 K-Z Travel Trailer!

Great Traveling Car, too many repairs

Bought 1 year old with 27k miles. Drives like a dream, even in extreme snow/blizzard. Problem is reliability. Had AC replace at 50k, transmission at 60k, transmission at 90k, transmission at 110k. Never towed anything, just issues with transmission. With complaints said, we feel ultra safe traveling, even in extreme blizzards when other cars are spinning off the road. Put Yokohama AT/S tires on it, and can go anywhere in sun/rain/snow.

Well, this is Suburban number 3 for my family and will probably be the last one I buy. We love having the room for our son, the dogs, and all our gear, but this is a money pit. Gas mileage is 14.2 running 70-75mph, replaced fuel pump at 85,000. Between 85,000 and 100,000 we have spent $3200 in repairs. Add in the tune-up, brake flush, radiator flush and we are over $3500. The Suburban is probably one of the best vehicles in terms of meeting the needs of our family (pulling a boat, hunting, traveling, etc), but the fact that I can't get 100,000 miles out of a vehicle without a pile full of repairs is insane. Unless you can trade every 3 years on new, don't buy a Suburban.

I just purchased my Surburban abotu a month ago and I love it. I was a little disappointed with the 2-wheel drive feature but I realized that I do not live in the mountains and I do not plan to plow any snow anytime soon. This SUV is unreal, it has a smooth ride like my friend's Lexus. (not quite, but you get the point) If you have the chance, get one.
