I purchased this car and in a 1 year span have taken it over 7 times now to the dealership. Bad battery cable (which actively TURNED OFF MY STABILITRAC AND TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM WHILE DRIVING!!!), Bad catalytic converter, Bad/ leaking oil cooler, Bad cylinder head, Bad head gasket, Bad air intake manifold, and i could go on and on. I have put 40k miles on it and for a 2013 I'd expect to be able to drive this car with no problems other than normal upkeep tasks. After talking with gm and them telling me that they will not do anything for me I'm beyond flabbergasted that a company that prides itself on its customer service treated me this way. I will NEVER purchase a chevy product ever and will be spreading the word.

2013 Chevrolet Cruze Eco 4dr Sedan (1.4L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

Bought the 2013 Cruze Eco brand new with 11 miles. It was my wife car and see drives like a grandma. First problem one of the spark plugs went bad at around 18,000 miles, Then the intake was leaking oil around 30,000 miles. Then the water pump was leaking around 45,000 miles. The final straw for me is when the turbo oil cooling tube leaked almost the oil out to the engine at 72,000 and GM said it was not part of the engine warranty. I had to pay out of pocket to fix it. How is a part that will drain all the engine oil not part of the engine. I wonder if my wife kept driving and destroy the engine if GM won't of honored their engine warranty. I traded it in for a new 2017 Hyundai Sonata limited, trade in value was horrible. That car cost me as much as the Cruze but is a much better car. I now have 86,000 miles on the Sonata with no issues.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS CAR A ZERO I WOULD

i purchased the car from the dealer. it was the demo vehicle with less than 5,000 miles on it. i had nothing but issues. it had no pick up. so i had to be extremely careful with crossing intersections. 6 months into owning the vehicle it was overheating and giving me a message, a/c off due to high engine temps. when i took it to the dealer they couldn't find the issue, the message was no longer there. 100 miles over my warranty expiration it happened again. i had to get the car towed there and then they found the issue. almost $2,000.00 later in repairs. not even a month later the check engine light was back on. now everytime i pump gas it gives me a hard time to start and is very shaky, to the point i have to turn off the car and turn it back on. sometimes though when i try to turn it off the engine stays on even if i take the key out. this car has been a real lemon. which i am also looking into the lemon law. so zoom forward to now a year later after spending 2,000.00 to repair the car bam it does it again. i changed the thermostat and nothing, so after spending a couple hundred on that i took it elsewhere and it is now costing me another $2,000.00 to fix and it seems to be the same issue that apparently wasn't fixed right at the dealer. i have only taken my car to the dealer from day 1 until now. ****don't buy this car**** i know a few people that own this vehicle not necessarily 2013 but newer models as well and same problems.

My car is a 2013 chevy cruze lt. I bought it 8/14/13 and it has been in the shop 7 times since I bought it. I had a water leak on the drivers side, the heater makes a weird grinding noise and the transmission surges, it also make a weird scraping noise when I put my foot on the gas. I finally had enough and called GM my car has 3,000 miles on it and has spent more time at the shop than my driveway. It has now been 8 days since I have had my car they have me in a rental until the paperwork is finalized on my new 2014 replacement cruze. I am so glad that they pulled me from my car it has cost me time from work and so frustrating.....

The Cruze is a nice, solid car for a great price. I like the exterior styling, and also the simplicity and layout of the interior. The driver has excellent visibility. The key selling feature for me was the top safety ratings, as my daughters would be spending a lot of time driving this car too. The car (1LT, 1.4Turbo) handles competently, and the engine has surprising strength given the fantastic gas mileage. We've had it for 2 years & 20K miles, and so far no issues. The transmission and controls all work perfectly. I was initially looking for a good used car, and also looked at new Civics & Corollas, but I liked the Cruze the best and am happy to buy an American brand. Update 2+ years later: My daughter was driving our Cruze with a passenger, and while crossing an intersection they were T-boned broadside by a speeding SUV (Honda Pilot) that hit squarely on the passenger side. Multiple airbags deployed, and the Cruze was spun around 180 degrees and ended up on the sidewalk with 2 stunned passengers. I'd like to say both girls made it out without a scratch, but truthfully the passenger did have a scratch on her arm, but that was it. Both were fine and walked away, and witnesses to the crash were very surprised no-one ended up in the hospital. What can I say, I bought the car for the 10 airbags and safety, and it came through for me. Up until that point our Cruze was trouble free for 2 years & 20,000 miles, but it was totaled in the accident. I'm very happy with the car and would buy another without hesitation.

I got this car back in march. I thought I was getting a good deal with only 20000 miles on it. about three weeks after buying the car the car check engine comes on, so I check it no code, thought that was a little off. Couple weeks after that my driver head light goes out I have head lights in my truck that I put in four years a go and the have not went out yet. Then out of no where my front driver side window motor goes out and the window drops(I live in Oregon and we get a lot of rain) so not good. Just out of out of the blue the car shuts off and then starts up about 10-15 minutes later. To top it all off I don't know how a manual transmission blows up but this one did it made it a whole 26,316 miles wow, and its not like I hot rod this thing around I got it I bought this thing for two reason so I was not putting a lot of miles on my truck and for fuel mileage, well it say that I was getting 36 roughly each week on my little screen we I check it each time I fill up its about 12 miles off. as soon as this car is out of the shop I'm getting rid of it. Worst car ever I hate it do not buy this car!!!!!!!

This car is built very well and has a long list of features. Chevy has done a great job of creating a diverse lineup for the Cruze. The MyLink features link Pandora, navigation, XM, etc... are easy to use and the screen position, size, and clarity are excellent! Driving the Cruze is fun and for a change, I am looking forward to my next road trip. The trunk is huge for a small car, but the back seat room is a bit tight for 6' adults. If you are 5'10" or shorter it would be fine!

I've got just shy of 90,000 miles on this car at this time. It has been absolutely trouble free. Just replaced original Goodyear tires just last week. Two recalls, minor issues, both taken care of while the dealership replaced the tires. (BTW, dealership beat Discount Tire by $100 for equivalent tires.) I'm averaging 37 miles per gallon. Yes, I said averaging. Brakes still good, no shudder or fade. Engine still runs great. I replace the oil regularly using only Mobile One. I especially recommend using high quality oil with any turbo-charged vehicle because turbos tend to keep spinning once you stop the car. Shut the car off too quickly and you shut the oil flow to the turbo off. I let it sit for a minute before shutting off. Good advice for any turbo engine if you want the turbo to last. MyLink infotainment system is great although a little slow on screen response. Overall, this is by far the best car I've ever owned, and being almost sixty years old I've owned quite a lot of cars. I highly recommend this car.

2013 Cruze Eco Manual

I had a Cruze LS we loved, but traded for a larger Malibu. After a year of poor Malibu mpg, we went back to a Cruze; this time an Eco. LOVE this car! After a month in mostly below-freezing weather, I'm averaging 36 mpg around town! On three days in the 50s, it got in the low 40s. Highway is 45-50 mpg at 65-70 mph. My fill-ups so far actually show slightly better mpg than the computer reading. The car handles great and is very quiet. The stick is smooth. I have owned GM cars for 25 years, and the Cruze is my favorite. I got this Eco for $17,300 after $3,500 in rebates (mostly from GM card incentives). A friend who rode in my car last week said, "Wow. This is a REALLY nice car!"

Needed a reliable, great gas mileage vehicle for my daily commute of 85+ miles a day---to & from work. Test drove the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3 and on a salesmans recommendation the Chevy Cruz! Loved the test drive, cautiously purchased the Cruz and am extremely happy 3 years later. The turbo is great in traffic and around town, steering is very responsive! It feels like a small race car! No problems at all----knock on wood! Enjoying every minute of driving and would definitely recommend the Cruz and will be purchasing another Cruz in a couple more years. Thanks Chevy for FINALLY delivering a vehicle that I believe is superior to the industries regulars, I.e; the Toyota's, Honda's etc.. Now hopefully the Cruz will be commanding over $5000 when it hits 200,000 miles!!!

I've had my 2013 Chevy Cruze for 2 years now. I bought it used with 20,000 miles on it and I now have 70,000. Other than regular maintenance (belt, wipers, oil change), I have had no problems. I've taken this car on many trips, just recently drove it a few thousand miles between 9 different states and not one problem. Gas mileage is excellent and I love the way the car handles when driving. Seating is very comfortable in the front, I've never been in the back so I don't personally know but people that have ridden in it say the back is fine. Huge trunk space for hauling things. This is the best, most reliable car I've ever owned and would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I bought my chevrolet cruze in hopes of obtaining a reliable vehicle. 1 year later at around 34k miles I started having problems. It stalled. I brought it to the dearlship. They couldnt figure it out and had to use a diagnostic tree since the computer wasnt operating properly. They then replaced the mass air flow sensor, billed me $300 and the vehicle is still there until corporate call them

Overall, the Cruze is a awesome commuter vehicle. I wish it had a little more torque on the freeway but I guess I can't expect much with a 4 cylinder vehicle. Minor issues with rear brake noise. Sun-visor coming apart where mirror folds. Satisfied with performance and look of vehicle.

This car does everything it says it will. Great mileage (30 -34mpg in town). Peppy and fun to drive. Comfortable seating. No build quality issues. So far compares in quality to my last 6 Japanese made sedans/SUVs. The Cruze is quiet, dependable, and exceeds my expectations for 19K I paid for car. I am over 50 years old and this is the first manual transmission car I have owned and I am loving it. Great job GM!

I wish someone would have warned me about this car! I have completely babied this car never really drove it that hard, accelerate slowly, decelerate slowly. First you have to know the MPG is completely false! DO NOT believe anything you hear. When I do the real MPG test and don't go by the computer, the computer tells me i get 30-40 MPG but when I gas up, record my mileage, and then gas up again and divide the gallons into the mileage gone I ONLY get 24-25MPG and that is highway miles!! There is not really a clear coat on the car so the paint chips VERY easily. Expect the body to be chipped and badly worn down by 50-100k miles...

I love my Cruze. It's dependable, quick, and comfy. My older daily driver has a V8, so this little thing takes some getting use to, but all that goes away when you fill up the gas tank. I haven't really had any problems with my car. There was one problem before I even drove it off the lot when I bought it. It was something with the Turbo Charger. You could tell it had zero power and it just didn't have any get up and go. But the dealer gave me a loaner, and delivered me my new car after it was fixed. The only other repair has been a recall, which was the water pump. Ever so often there is a little bit of a shutter when I turn off the key. My older car (86 T/A) does the same thing.

I purchased my 2013 Cruze (automatic) brand new from the dealership. First service on the car, my transmission was black, and i was almost out of coolant. the car constantly sucks down coolant, and the recall on transmission makes it worse. continously have problems with electrical wiring. bulbs in headlights constanly explode because of overheating because of bad wiring. had to pay $200 to replace the whole wiring harness on one side because the wiring caught on fire. Interior of car is worthless. first cleaning i used name brand (and expensive) car interior cleaner that scratched away the cheap paint by the volume controls. the steering wheel material is wearing off after only 3 years of owning the car. the carpeting on the walls of thr car and dashboard are difficult to keep clean. cup holders are in an odd place, you can ONLY open the trunk with you key fob. and your car has to be off to open the trunk. acceleration is jerky, car locked itself one time on its own (typical pass lock system of Chevy). oh not to mention the outer plate of my gas flap fell off (it was poorly glued on?) the little adjuster knobs on the ir vents broke and fell off. overall, the car was cheaply made, and a fast dollar for the company.dont get one youll thank me.

We bought our Cruze ECO used with 29K miles and in more than 2 years of driving and an additional 36K miles we have done nothing to it but replace the Goodyear fuel max tires at 60K miles and done regular full synthetic oil changes. This car has been dead on reliable and delivers fantastic MPG we use our Cruze primarily for 60 mile daily work commutes but have also done a few 1000 mile trips to DC and back and the car is comfortable and at home on both highway and secondary road trips. With the manual 6 speed transmission this car is especially fun to drive on twisty back roads and rivals my 3 weekend sports cars in that department. At 65K miles the interior still looks brand new and the bucket seats are more comfortable than any of our other 4 cars. I have 2 complaints though one is the lack of backpressure from the 1.4L engine when trying to go down hill slowly and the other is a small bit of body flex in cold weather which can sound like a knocking noise when going over rough roads but aside from those minor glitches the acceleration, steering, and handling is brilliant. I also like the fit and finish on the body and interior as GM really took great care in designing and putting this car together. The turbo 4 engine is smooth and surprisingly fast for such a small displacement engine and in combination with the buttery smooth 6 speed transmission it is a delight to drive. Driven lightly in warm weather I have been able to touch 50MPG although 42MPG is more readily attainable on a daily bases and in cold weather that usually drops by an additional 4MPG to 38MPG. I highly recommend the Chevy Cruze and this from a guy that has 4 other foreign brand cars (one being Ferrari).

My wife has had her Cruze for 3 years now. We got it used with 50k on it. At first we loved the car but now it has become the worst car we have ever had. First we had to put a new coil pack on it then the intake manifold broke. Then we had to replace the pvc valve and valve cover. Then another coil pack and now the intake manifold has broke again at 105k. Nothing but a money pit. I have always owned GM cars but I have been really let down with this one. I would not recommend this [non-permissible content removed] to anyone.

Transmission issue & More

I bought my car brand new in May 2013. Within a couple of months I was experiencing the car lunging forward while at a stop, loss of power, and loss of acceleration. MPG has also been significantly impacted. I was originally getting 36-42 mpg highway, and now get 28-30mpg. I took the car in several times and had ALL recalls performed on the vehicle, including the transmission part. "Fixing" the transmission made it worse, to the point where when driving it would feel as if we were constantly being rear-ended, hard. Final in Oct/Nov 2015 ( I can't recall now), GM agreed to totally replace the transmission with a new one (not used). Guess what, this didn't solve the issue and I'm to the point where I physically can no longer drive the car due to the pain caused by the constant surging and jerking the car makes. Getting rid of the car is not an option since the Cruze has flooded the resale market (thanks to Cruze's being rental cars), as my car is approx. $5-6k under water. I contacted Chevrolet directly to resolve the matter and they advised me that they are unable to help, and to work directly with the Dealership. The Dealership can't fix it, so now I'm stuck paying for a car that can't be driven.

This is my first car review EVER. Just purchased the cruze and I love it! I test drove the 2013 Honda Accord and 2013 Nissan Altima. Unfortunately these were going for a pretty penny and the Chevy Staff really wanted to offload the 2012 models. As a result, I was able to pick up the 2LT model for 4,000 under MSRP. The car is well built, fun to drive, and excellent on fuel economy. I am very happy with my choice!

I bought the car 1 owner 25k miles back in 2014. By the time I made it to 80k miles the turbo went out, the ac went out, it was over heating, the car would jump when sitting at a stop. Everytime I put antifreeze in the car it would be gone the next day like it was evaporating bc there were no leaks. The dumb thing almost killed me one day all of a sudden it would just shut off in mid turn I almost ended up in a tree. Needless to say I bought the car a year old 4% interest and got stuck with a 21k price tag. After all the issues and still owing almost 11k I had to let it go back. The blue book is WAY lower then 11k and it was going to cost me a arm and a leg to fix all the damn issues. This car really has me wanting to stay away from Chevy FOR GOOD!

So I bought the Cruze and it runs very well it had low kilometers and had to change the cooling tube. Since it's made of plastic it wore out. Luckily I made the inspection by a garage before I bought the car and brought it to a garage after my purchase. The ride is very smooth and the transmission shifts fine (automatic). The backup camera is useful and cheap on gas. Spend 45 $ for about 800 KM. The car is comfortable. I like it! UPDATE: Bought this car almost 2 years ago. Right of the bat I needed to change the cooling pipe. A year later another cooling pipe leaked, motor gasket was gone making oil leak everywhere. Also Break line is starting to leak all before getting to 140K km (86K miles).

A Compact Car That Wants To Be More

I wanted to downsize to a car that could let me cope with $4.00+ per gallon gas, yet could take me on extended trips in comfort. The Cruze has so far fit my requirements. I have been reading reviews from car magazines and web sites that complain of shift points on the automatic and the overall lack of power. I disagree. I find that the automatic shifts/downshifts as it should and am beginning to believe that the 1.4L turbo horsepower numbers are under-reported by GM. This engine loves to race to the redline, and I have never been concerned when merging into freeway trafic. The suspension is on the taught side, but handling is great.

After 13 months of ownership and 17,000 miles I am still thrilled with this car. It is definitely a kick to drive and the gas mileage while somewhat exaggerated by chevy and the bogus trip computer that always estimates mileage 3-5 mpg higher than actual, is still quite good at 30 city, 38 highway. BTW, in all fairness, those numbers are still higher than the EPA sticker. My car is a 2LT, not an ECO. I love the car. Get one for yourself.

After having a car that was non-drivable, I traded it in for a shiny, red Cruze. I literally handed the dealer my old keys, stated my issues, told them I wanted a Cruze and to tell me when I could sign. I didn't test drive the car first, and had my heart set on the silver option. When I showed up to sign the papers, the car was a bright red... And perfect for me! I LOVE my Cruze! It is comfy, roomy, easy to maneuver. The trunk has the perfect amount of space for my kids and I, and my business. I was a surrogate and pregnant with twins and was also able to get in and out of the car just fine during the entire pregnancy. It is fantastic and easy to maintain!

2013 ChevyCruze Check Engine Light Cat Converter

My duaghter's 2013 Chevy Cruze was in the Dealer twice for Check Engine Light, where one was a Vacuum Line (p0171) was Bad & replaced, then 1 1/2 day later it came back on (p0420) and took back into the Dealer again. This time to be told that it was not under warranty and even though there was a recall (16186, which has same year, make, & model) that the vin was not part of the recall, so cost would be $966 for repairs to replace the converter. When I had asked to see the car on a hoist to show me where it was bad, was told by Bryan in Feldman Chevy of Livonia, MI that there was no way to tell. So for a car that we only owned for less than 6-months, which the vehicle is less than 5yrs old, that now had to be brought into the dealership twice for Check Engine Light and now needs a Catalytic Converter, but no way to show you that it was bad, even though was listed in a Recall, but just so happens it cannot be repaired...I call BS on that! I will never be buying anymore vehicles thru them, which is a shame since all of my family does and they have had issues as well...guess it's time for a KIA!!

My wife and I have been driving cars for 45+ years. Until 2013, we had not bought a Chev for well over 25 years. Before buying a Cruze, we had an Elantra, a Focus, a Volks Golf, and a Dodge Caravan (to name the last 4). We test drove the Elantra, the Focus, Mazda and Toyota, and decided on the Cruze 6 speed standard. We have not been disappointed 10 months later, and have put approx. 20,000 miles on the car to date, with no problem to date.

Please read the special coverage related to the defective negative battery cable. Know that this car may randomly break down at any time (including at high speeds). GM doesn't seem concerned about the safety of it's customers enough to issue a working recall for this hazard.

I bought this car from a VW dealership for 7k with 121k miles. It was my first car and I loved it and am taking great care of it. Its an awesome car when it works, comes with good enough electronics, good looks, and a good quality interrior. However, now I am at around 142k miles and I am looking to get a new car. Problems I've had: The negative battery terminal had to be replaced because It would reduce engine power and turn off my StabiliTrak and traction control system. Engine Coolant reservoir and hoses needed to be replaced because they were all leaking because they are cheaply made. Easy to do on your own but you shouldn't have to in the first place. PCV system needed to be replaced because of a vacuum seal problem I fixed it for 150 myself. caused rough idle and other problems. Now I will need to replace the coil pack, fuel injectors, spark plugs, and possibly my fuel pump because of another misfire/rough idle problem. and am currently dealing with a very, very minor oil leak, as well as the engine is leaking oil those will need to be replaced soonish. So it's a great car when it doesn't have problems but it has problems frequently.

We had a horrible experience with our 2013 Cruz was in the garage 11 times in the first two years problems associated with the power train turbo went twice! We couldn't wait to get out of this car! They don't hold their value at all took a big hit when went to trade it in! I was told these are like throw away vehicles and I believe it. If you're looking for something reliable and to hold its value I'd keep looking. The only plus was the technology but reliability and dependability much more important and we didn't get that!

You get what you pay for. I purchased it used from the dealer. It had a few minor recalls that were easily fixed. Price was nice but there are better cars at the same price point. It was good until someone rear ended me and now the car is a right off. The air bags never went off though! I wouldn't buy it again but I was happy with it for what it was. A cheaper reliable car for getting around town that got good gas mileage. Pros Visibility was good and the back up camera was great . Driving was comfortable. Satellite road was great Controls were easily accessible Gas mileage was great Trunk space was fine Usb charger in front console was nice Pockets on doors was nice Headlights were bright Remote start Seats easily cleaned, I had a Montana that would stain with water stains every time it rained or got snow on them A jeep Laredo hit me, hardly any damage done to it ! Cons Extremely under powered from a stand still Passenger leg room was small due to the glovebox Cloth material on the dash looks nice but not sure the longevity of it Passenger foot room was small because of the depth of the glove box. Window defrost is only in the enter of the dash and it would take forever to defrost.(I live in Canada) Cup holders placement was awkward No interior trunk release, have to turn off car to use trunk release No leg room in the back seats. (Remember it's a small car) Car jerks at times when stopped, don't know why Smell was coming from engine compartment when I first bought it, smelt like burning anti freeze, has since stopped Cheap plastic on exterior trim would fade Arm rest was extremely small, needs to be longer Great care for someone under 5'7, not for tall or bigger people Dash plastic had a nice style but looked and felt cheap

OK the car in my opinion is over priced and these are the reasons why. 1. the dashboard, well I don't even know what that is other than plastic. This makes it very easy to wipe down. I mean a damp cloth with a little light weight cleaner (I use organic cleaners) and wham it looks new again. Problem I can't see that dashboard lasting and would be really surprised if it did. I keep my windows and the car covered to protect it so maybe this will help. 2. I have had to have rusting bolts replaced (MY car is 2 years old, 2013. With 28K miles on it. I bought it with 68 miles). In addition, the paint job wasn't all that great and after getting home with my car I noticed foggy areas on the paint. They fixed that for me right away but still I was left without my car for 3 days. 3. The paint is some type of silicon? Therefore press your nail in it and it leaves the impression. That is so not cool. Think about it. 4. The seats could use much improvement. I bought pads for them because they are sunken and not padded well as on many imports. My car was 18 years old so it took me a few weeks to notice this. I wish I had noticed before that. lol 5. The molding around my car which is the only metal I think it has after 2 years was discolouring and spotting. It got blamed on the rain. Really? Serioulsy? You think the rain did that but didn't touch the paint? I don't think so. Either way it had to be replaced. It really looked like a car that was 20 years old and I'd had it for 2 years! Not cool. Not cool at all. Really bent me. 6. The seat covers, cloth on the seats, they do not hold up well. They do not clean well. I already had to have one of the seats replaced. This was done a little over 1 year of owning the car. At that time there was another lady having the same thing done and she had had her car about the same length of time. 7. Due to the material they used for the interior it will show every mark. I mean if you vacuum and the vacuum drags across the "plastic" around the door near the dashboard or even where the gears for park etc are. It will leave a scratch. I also had that area replaced due to the scratching much to my vain due to they scratched [non-permissible content removed] out of it while replacing it and the old piece had less markings. :() 8. Lastly the key has buttons for opening the door and starting the car. Somehow for me it is super easy to hit and not notice I opened the trunk. Now please understand I'm good to my cars. They laugh at me at the dealership and tell me my car is spotless. I laugh because I'm bringing it in for a detail when they tell me this. My Toyota was a 93 and I bought it with 2000 miles. Not one spot on my car. No one believed me when I told them it was 20 years old. They thought it was a 2003 or so. :) I take very good care of my belongings inside and out. The bumpers were still jet black! No cracks, no marks on the inside! No tears in the seats nothing. UPDATE: I had the car for two years in that course of time the paint had to be redone 2x's. The visor fell off in my lap while driving...bolts had to be replaced. Rusting had to be taken care of inside the car door, the interior was marking up not good and for no real reason, the front seat had to be replaced, the trimming was peeling, the door started creaking and slightly tilted, thus it was coming off the hinges Really? I took it in a couple of times, and each time I was told nothing was wrong with it but there is no way I was imaging it! What am I talking about? The car would rock when stopped as if a huge vechile had droven by when there were NO cars around me! Several times I would go to accelerate in order to move out of the line of being "hit" and the car just wouldn't go. I have no idea what would cause this but either way total bs. I had the car for two years and I sold it back to the dealership. I suppose the issues with this car are high since they bought it back from me leaving me to owe $37. To top it off in two years I went from 34 miles per gallon to 28. I take very good care of my cars, cleaning, detailing and I never miss an oil change etc. I will never own another Cheverolet. The car isn't worth the materials to make it.

It started a few months ago, the engine light, then traction stablizer and loss of engine power all happen together. I cleared then readings a few times untill I could research the issues. Bouth a new foot peddle and installed, the problem went away for three weeks. Still happening fro time to time, I still clear the codes and runs fine for a few days then happen again. If it would ever stop raining so I could research some harnesses to make sure that they were making conection, that could help per the videos I have seen and information that I have read. The next step would be to take to the dealership. Ant suggestion?

I really love the look of my 2LT RS. The rally sport is gorgeous. From outside to inside, the compliments do not stop! The design is impeccable. The seating is a little tight. I'm 6ft and no one can sit behind me unless I pull up a bit. But I expected that because the Cruze, to me, is a medium sized sedan. As for the performance: the car handles phenomenally! The turbo engine even catches me off guard sometimes during acceleration. My combined mpg is between 28 and 29 and let me tell you: I'm a speed demon on & off the fwy, so I am impressed. Disappointments: the car jerks fwd when i'm stopped at a light. I've seen some others mention this as well. I hope for no problems down the line.

We developed spots on the hood where the paint peeled away. We've been to the Chevy dealer and spoke to Chevy corporate. They concluded it was bird poop that caused the paint chips but refused to fix the problem, informing us it will cost $500 to fix. Our actual 25 MPG is also very disappointing and not what we expected. In the year we've had the car, there have been 2 recalls on safety issues. If I had known about these issues, I would not have purchased the car and I warn others to be careful. It's extremely disappointing that Chevy won't stand behind the quality of its cars. Will never purchase another Chevy.

Best features: fuel mileage, driver comfort, low interior noise, emergency handling, smooth handling of recalls and no surprise repairs. Worst: As delivered, trunk provides no way to restrain its cargo; difficulty gauging how close I am to objects behind me. The rating and the meager "worsts" tell the story. My "suburban" (i.e., a mixture of highway and stop-light ruled streets) gas mileage ranges from 30-33, highway mileage at 68-70 mph on cruise control often touches high 30s. The six-speed manual, combined with the turbocharger, takes some learning to get shift points right for performance and mileage. If I shift at around 2200 rpm and hit 6th by 40 mph, my mileage is excellent. The combination of the electric steering (which I learned to like in my 2003 Saturn Ion) and the suspension have let me react very quickly (e.g., when someone decided she liked my lane without asking) with no drama. My wife likes to drive, especially on long trips, and, except for the shifting in stop-and-go, has found her comfortable seating position and mirror settings and puts in hundreds of miles at a clip. The Value rating is my best way of describing my experience so far. At 2 3/4 years, I genuinely enjoy driving this car.

Bought the car about 2 weeks ago and couldn't be happier. I am a big gear head and based aspects other than price and reliability. The cruze ranks among the best when it comes to handling and the feel of the drive. Only the focus and mazda3 rank higher. I chose the cruze due to is executive good looks, upscale interior, german like build quality, and peppy turbo engine.

I have had the 2013 Cruze LT for month now, have driven over 2,000 mi. Some things that I have to nitpic are. The seats are hard and uncomfortable. I get lower back pain. I have tried all kinds of adjustments to no avail. I had to add a cushion to help in comfort. I have a problem that service can not find cause. The dash lights and 7" screen will go out for about 30 to 40 seconds and then come back on. It does this once in awhile. The door locks are on the console and not door which is weird. No inside trunk release, cup holders seem to low and very hard to find in the dark due to no lighting in that area. Armrest is to short. Back seating is a joke. Other than that car runs well.
