A refined BEAST! Camaro 1SS A10

2019 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS 2dr Coupe (6.2L 8cyl 6M)
Update-Have owned this care for 15 months now. Only average about 6K mi/yr since I work from home. Runs as good as new. The seat comfort is quite impressive. I'd say the stock cloth seats are more comfortable than many sedans. I drove my Mom's 2019 for 3 months while visiting and while it was comfortable, the seats in the Camaro were better cushioned.
Gas mileage in mixed driving … is not good 16-17 calculated by hand and I have a little bit of dash rattle/crinkle sound but drive with the windows down mostly so don't notice it much. Other than that, this car is a nasty animal that can be driven tamely and comfortably. It also sounds insane. I personally love the simple interior.
Why Edmunds can't have the correct trim in the drop-down menu is pure laziness on their part. There is no choice for A10, only 6M.
Got my '19 1SS for $33,090 before tax/lic due to dealer discounts and I had a Mustang GT so got a $2500 rebate with that as well.
The performance of this car is incredible even if I paid $50K. The A10 shifts really quick and is super smooth and rarely ever hunts for gears. It's a blast with the paddles, manual shifting or just put in D and keep it S mode or T on the freeway if you want.
Mine is all stock except for a Borla s-type catback. It sounds soooooo good without being overly loud or obnoxious. I think the car looks awesome too with the stock 20s and staggered tires.
Full power seat, apple car-play standard are big pluses. Handling and power are on another level. Comfort is very good. Only negative is visiblity which is mostly a hindrance at low speeds around islands in parking lots b/c of the high door sills. Otherwise on the road, hardly ever an issue for me.
Gas mileage of course isn't good but hwy can be almost 30 when just cruising in 4cyl mode. I average 17.5 overall.
If you want a car that drives/performs well above its price point and sounds like complete beast doing it, look no further.
14 months update-1SS A10

2019 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS 2dr Coupe (6.2L 8cyl 6M)
Have had my 1SS a little over a year now. Not my daily driver so only 6000 miles. Haven't had a single issue. My only complaint is the touch screen with Apple Car play is a little laggy at times especially with Amazon Music. Minor nitpick.
Visibility is practically a non-issue as I'm so used to the car now and rear view mirror is actually quite good. All you really notice is the … performance and this thing is truly a beast. I couldn't imagine ponying up the extra $$$ for a ZL-1. The SS alone has more power on the street than you can really use. Love the the car. The A10 is seriously impressive on how fast and smooth it shifts. Best bang for the buck out there if you don't need much of a back seat.

Which Camaro does Edmunds recommend?
You can't go wrong here. A V6 Camaro with the 1LE package is one of the best performance deals on the market; even the four-cylinder is made fun by the 1LE package. But we say the Camaro is still at its best with a V8 rumbling under the hood. We do like the larger, 8-inch infotainment screen, so opt for at least the 1LT trim with the Technology package. It's a shame you have to choose between comfortable seats with a cushion that feels too high in the vehicle or amazing Recaro sport buckets that completely lack lumbar support (only available with the 1LE package). Honestly, if you're getting a manual-transmission car, go for the 1LE with the Recaros and invest in a small pillow.

Driving
9.0This strong performer blends speed with precision and enjoyment in a way that previous Camaros never did. The V8 is stout, but even the V6 and four-cylinder are punchy. Handling feels more precise with the smaller engines, but the V8 with its stickier tires exhibits higher limits. The V8's 10-speed automatic transmission is mighty impressive.
Comfort
7.5Ride quality is very good considering the Camaro's mission. Most drivers will find comfort in the front seats, but some may find the lower cushion odd. Don't bother with the back seat unless you are of a smaller stature. The V6 and four-cylinder engines are on the loud side and don't sound good. The V8 is better in both regards.
Interior
6.5Visibility remains a big concern, and it makes the Camaro harder to operate and park in tight places than it should be. The interior controls are arranged in an unusual way that comes with a surmountable learning curve. The back seat is tight, though the front seats have plenty of space.
Utility
5.0Even though you can't expect much from a muscle or sports car, the Camaro's compromised trunk and interior storage are unusually poor considering current standards. By comparison, the Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger are much easier to live with.
Technology
7.0The Camaro comes standard with a respectable level of infotainment technology features. The base infotainment system looks slick, reacts quickly, and offers all the phone connectivity features you could want. But it all goes south when it comes to active safety, where the Camaro feels a decade behind due to simplistic standard offerings, meager options, and a total absence of collision intervention and mitigation equipment.
