Bought it New in 92'

5 Liter V8 in Purple Haze (yes that's the actual factory color) with T- Tops. Even at 3400 lbs, with 255/45/16s in the rea and 245/50/16s in the front, this car holds the road like few cars I've driven. Low center of gravity and fairly wide stance are likely the reasons. In original mint condition, and unique factory color, this car attracts a lot of attention... ...and buy offers.

I've owned this car for over 4 years and have needed to do nothing but change the oil and put on new brakes. The 3rd generation body style is over 10 years old now, so a good-looking vehicle can turn a few heads these days. It might not be a technologically advanced as the new ones, but the 5.7 TPI will still rock your world when the foot hits the pedal!

Nothing ROCS your body like an F-Body!

I just got my 92 Camaro RS w/Z28 handling pkg Bright red w/Flame Red Interior, on the 2nd of January 2004 (what a way to start the new year huh?). I've always wanted to own a Camaro. And was blessed with my car. I absolutely lover her she's awesome. The styling is fly, 20 bucks is a FILL UP using 93 Premium! Nothing like cruising with the t-tops off! I've heard for years HOW reliable Camaros and T/A's were...I've NEVER had to add a drop of oil to the car and I've had it for nearly 2 months! (I had the crankcase filled with Valvoline MaxLife the next week of ownership)

The 3.1L V6 does a good job at getting up and going, which is fine for most people, but if you want performance you want the V8 for sure...great platform to start with easily adaptable to fit many engines and can out handle alot the the newer cars! for those of you wanting cupholders, just get some from a 1991 or 1992 firebird, they mount on the doors, and work great.

I just got my car and its great, besides some little things that need to be tuned up on it. It has a new exaust system which makes this beast sound great with the V8. I LOVE IT.

I bought the car used when it had ~148K miles on it. I just turned 180K miles and I have done very little to keep it running. I had to do the normal things like change tires, shocks, brakes, etc., but I haven't had any expensive repairs to deal with, especially when you consider the mileage.

I ordered this car back in 1992. It has been the best car I ever owned. Over 207,000 miles and it's all original. It's fun to drive and can take a lot of abuse. 5 speed / V8 allows you to really drive aggressive. Great gas mileage and extremely great reliability. Over 200K and has never seen a tow truck.

Who says Japanese cars are more reliable

My wifes civic motor blew at about 100k highway miles despite oil changes every 3k miles and perfect maintanence. My fathers new Toyota Corolla burned up it's oil and almost blew at 15k miles despite oil changes every 5k. Toyota tried to claim it wasn't covered by waranty because he didn't have it changed at the dealer. He can keep the car running if he uses synthetic oil and changes it every 2500 miles. I've had my Camaro for over 8 years. While driving 80k hard city miles, I have had to replace tires, clutch, brakes, alternator, brakes, radiator, and air pump. In other words, routine maintenance. I plan to keep this car for a long time.

Torque monster L98. Mine was a Heritage Edition Z28, Bright Red with Black stripes. One of the more timeless designs to ever come from an auto styling studio- though I'm not crazy about the hi-rise F40-style rear spoiler of 91-92. It was my daily driver for years and it only needed tires and a small oil leak fix covered under warrantee. No rattles/squeaks at all with subframe connectors and no t- tops. I’ve owned a total of 5 third generation FBodies and loved them all. Traded it in for a 96 Z28/SS 6-speed and regret every second of it (but I needed a manual transmission!).

My 92 camaro is so sharp and has been good to me, I still love it after 10 years. I never had a problem with it, it's a beautiful car to drive on a clear day. (NOT GOOD ON WET ROADS) It handles curves like nothing I have ever driven (I never drove a real race car) but it's probably like just like that. -A lot of car around you.- I did have an unfortunate accident years ago (nothing that couldn't be fixed) but with the heavy doors it has my camaro most likely saved me from a more serious injury. IT'S JUST A BEAUTIFUL -- GOOD CAR !!!!!!

This was my first new car purchase & I am very pleased with my decision. This F-Body Rocks!! The car has been great to me despite some hard driving on my part. I'd heard the 700R4 tranny might give me worries; to date I've had none. I've replaced the water pump, radiator (improper cap...my fault), alternator, starter, brakes (front-5 times, rear-once), oil pan (my fault again), hatch pull-down motor, 3 sets of tires & had to repair the instrument cluster once (speedometer was broken). The headliner is falling now; but all- around, not bad for nearly 13 years & 120,000+ miles! My daughter is looking forward to driving this car in two years. I'll probably still be enjoying the ride. :-)

Brought it back in 94. Don't hardly drive it anymore, but starts everytime. Uses no oil even at 175,000. It's not been babied. Skipped oil changes, 15,000 once, hard driving at times, Would think nothing about buying it again. This is the 3rd one I've had in this style and my experince with them have all been the same. Wonderful cars to own . Gets 25 mpg,out of a V8. Everything still works on it, including AC(never recharged)even after 11 years. I've own a 99 TA also, but I think this is a much better car. Although slower and handles worst. I've had many offers trying to buy it from me, but it's like letting an old friend go. It's also got me there and never left me stainded.

I love my 25th anniversary Camaro. I like cruising around wth the T-tops off and the pedal to the floor. Ive had no problems with it since I bought it in '98 except for the brakes and tires that I'm a little hard on. I wish I had the money to do the car some justice and restore it to its prime.

The world looks better from a Camaro

I have owned my Camaro since I was 15. I bought it in high school, and will never part with it. It is the nicest car I've ever owned and the most eye catching. I've never even seen one on the road like mine. I own a 25th anniv. heritage edition. It is purple w/ silver heritage stripes. it has factory dipped chrome alloys, t-tops, tinted windows and a mean cat back exhaust. Everywhere I go I get looks and have people ask me if it's custom. I have found that it is one of the rarest color combos from 1992. There is nothing like seeing the world from the driver's seat of a beautiful, powerful Camaro with the t-tops off and the wind blowing.

This has been a very dependable and enjoyable auto to own and drive. Maintenance has been simple with few parts needing to be replaced. I really like the dependability with GM Engines. Timing chains sure are a step above belts, and I understand the 350 cc engines have a long life. The only downfall of the 92 Camaro is the gas economy. It’s been a joy to own.

My dad has owned a 1983 Z28 for my whole life, it was only natural that I follow suit and get one. I happened upon this lightly used RS the day it went on sale.... 2 weeks later it was my gift to me for graduating high school. I couldn't have made a better decision! I've owned a 1993 Lumina Z34, and the RS has the same performance, including the MPG, but alot less technical problems. Also, I know how to work on the RS myself, which is a big plus.

My husband bought this car new. There has been no problems, even at 141,000 miles. It's in almost perfect condition, inside and out (no kids, no pets, no smoking, no eating). It gets lots of attention, offers, partially because it's such a gorgeous shade of blue, but it's not going anywhere as long as I'm alive.

Only time i would drive my 92 RS 25th ANV is during the summer, Hot, CLEAR, ttops out blasting doing down the road days. If it rains, windy, or just a bad road your just all over. i have orginally 168,005 miles as of today 12/4/12 I drive avr 3 thousand miles a month for my car i got it with 99k miles 8 years ago, it did not run uptil two years ago after putting 9 grand into it, and going to 6 different dealers. Now having electrical problems causing smoke to come threw my vents where NEITHER heat nor air work after fixing in the summer i get 10 in down, and about 18 on hyw. My mothers 2005 Ford Excursion Limited with a V10 4X4 gets the same amount in town and hyw if that tells you anything.
