I bought this Blazer in April, 2009 with 56,000 miles. Now it has 81,000 miles on it. Have no complaints. I love the 4.3 L vortec v6 and 4-spd. At with od. The body & interior are great. I don't have many riders in back seats, so I flip them down for excellent cargo space. I live at the beach, but travel to the n. C. Mountains frequently. My Blazer does everything I need and more. All accessories work great, and the ride is good. I love the ride height, the acceleration, the ease of parking, etc. For a person looking for an average SUV without the high price tag and high insurance rate, this is a good choice. There is nothing bad I can say about my Blazer. I am very pleased with it.

I have an 2005 Blazer and I haven't had any problems with it! It's my first vehicle and I love it! Has plenty of power, reliability and there is no rust at all!! I have 160000 thousand miles on it and it drives like it's an brand new vehicle. I think the reviews are a little off because this vehicle has no problems at all! I recommend this vehicle to anyone!

I have my 2nd ZR2 model. I love it. Of course the true ZR2 was Not made for luxury or comfort. It was made for 4 wheel drive fun. Not urban commute, car- pooling people that don't know what 4 wheel drive is about. Like remembering to lube the transmission, u joints, etc. Too many people buy these type of vehicles and don't know what they were intended for. To class it with some of these others is wrong. Yes, they are a dated style and as of this year will be no more They are cool, tough, & fun.

Top-notch North American SUV

The best mid-sized ol'school SUV in an up-to-date body style available new until 2005 being its last production year. Bought new Nov, 2004 and have driven just over 30,000 miles combined city, highway and off-road. Average 23 mpg hwy and 14 mpg city. No major snags other than: wipers intermittent function (changed wiper arm selector which contains resistors), steering box (seal leak), CD player (ate first CD played), engine thermostat (failed open, low temp) and poor park brake adjustment (partially stuck on). Currently empty-nesters who enjoy getting off the beatin' path on beautiful Vancouver Island and couldn't do it in confidence and comfort without our good ol' Chevy Blazer.

I bought my Blazer last fall. I needed an inexpensive 4X4 that could actually go off road. I have a 25KM drive into my cabin down a road which eats up Escapes and Toyota SUVs. Chevy Canada was blowing them out at $18,998 CDN (About $14,500 US at the time). I've had no problems at all with it. Is it small, outdated and gets lousy fuel mileage? Yup. Will It plow through 2ft high snow drifts, pull a 3500lb trailer, actually go offroad without getting stuck ? Sure does. Considering anything else on the market that would do what I needed was $12,000 to $20,000 more, It was a no brainer. If you're a soccer mom looking to cart the kids around town, look elsewhere.

I just love it. Wanted a Blazer 16 years ago, but bought an s10 truck instead. The s10 went almost 200,000k, hope I have that luck again. Knock on wood, no problems as of yet. All regular main. Has been done, including killer 4x4 trans service and differential at 50,000. Try to keep it spotless, hard when on the jobsite, though.

I call this the last of the true trucks. Anything on today's market has been tuned to drive, handle, and ride like a car. Well guess what folks, this isn't a car. It's a truck, meant for the offroad, for plowing through muddy dirt roads and taking some abuse. My Blazer has handled everythhing I could throw at it with plenty left. Sure it has a couple of things that the dealer needed to fix, but nothing that was serious or even annoying to me as a driver/owner. In all the last of a dying breed (The Truck). Make sure to get one while they last!

I am very pleased with this vehicle. I notice on the internet it did not get good reviews. I do not know why? Is is much better then the Ford Explorer. More power at start up and on Highway. Smooth ride-handles well- good springs. On the front ceiling has some good storage and the dial setting for garage doors and lights and temperature and direction. it has everything I need. I do not need fancy wood on the dash or any of the other things which are high priced and do nothing for what is important in a vehicle. It is simply great. I am very happy that I purchased this SUV.

My ZR2 has been great. Besides changing the oil, putting gas in it, and washing it, I've never spent a dime in repairs. It is reliable to cut through the worst of Minnesota winters that I've traveled through in the last 4 years. It's now Feb 2009 and I only have 1 payment left and I'm going to keep this truck for years to come. There is nothing like it now on the market in comparison. I haven't even put new brakes on, (I drive mostly highway miles). So wish me luck as I've had good fortune with this truck. Hey Chevy! Start building them, or something close to ZR2's soon!

Gone places that blazer should have never went. Its a little mountain climber, Sand hills, mud, and snow. all around the blazers gas MPG isnt to bad for a SUV. had to fix a water pump but that was my fault. it got clogged and water couldn't move to the pump. Other then the water pump. This vehicle is a tank for having 151000 miles on her. Its perfect for fitting sub-woofers in the back and easy to find places to install the wires. Just off the battery im running 1200 watts for two 12's. and the volts stand strong. Still have stock alternator. Really loud. This SUV is worth it. Love my Blazer.

I traded a brand new 500 mile Toyota Celica on a used Blazer... its the xtreme package, I haven't ever regreted it, comfortable... very reliable, and honestly very safe. I have been rear ended twice once at around 10 mph the second time at around 25 mph, not significant damage to my Blazer. The motor like all of Chevy's are easily fixed, and most people can do it themselves with a good manual (unlike Toyota)... Overall they are not the fastest SUV's but they ride nice, few problems, no recalls on them! I think they are good vehicles for young adults who need something safe that looks nice, and they can dabble with... worked for me!

I love it. Great in snow, like how it looks, rides well. Acceleration is lacking, heavy vehicle, needs chip, and exhaust, [aftermarket], for 40+ horsepower gain. Mines red, waxed, and ready.

I've owned this truck a little more than a year and I love it. Yeah, it costs some money to drive, my 50000 mile trans service was ouch, but the 4 wheel drive, and feeling safe with my 3 yr old in the back is worth it. I didn't like the look of the 4 door, got the 2. Victory red. You know I've waxed, and keep the underneath clean, these last few winters.

It gives pretty solid performance out of a small SUV! The suspension is firm, like a 4x4 should be, and the brakes are solid as well. Ride height is high enough to simulate a full size Chevy! Conservative interior styling is very cool.

This has been so far the best car for the dollar that I have bought. The only complaints is the build quality is a little off. Lots of things on the inside rattle. The car almost killed me when something called a balancer came off of the engine. I lost power steering and my brakes. When into a ditch. That wasn't fun. But hey the airbag worked great. The engine thing was probably my fault because the weekend before I preaty much threw it off a cliff. Oh yeah did I mention it is an off roading beast? A bigger engine would be nice. But it has a great power to weight ratio

I purchased this vehicle despite all the negative review from family and I am happy with my purchase so far. Wish that I had gotten the 4- door, as the 2-door is a real pain with teenagers and kids getting in/out of the back for each ride, and wish it seated 5 instead of four.

I just got a new '05 Jimmy. I knew what to expect because my buddy has one. Great truck on a solid frame, not unibody. Rides rough, but that was expected. Simple and functional styling. Not your import with toys and whistles that cause problems and $$ down the road. It should perform well down the road I think. The price in Canada is awesome, $6000.00 instant rebate. Comes with air, ABS all wheel disk brakes, full am/fm CD. V6 Auto.

I have owned my ZR2 Blazer for 21 months. It is a comfortable vehicle in the city and in the country. It is ablsolutely terrible on the highway. It has no tolerance to a gusty cross wind. It goes all over the road. I believe the problem to be the tires. I am getting the published fuel mileage however it doesn't come close to my '89 S-10 which also had a 4.3. I would think the Vortec 4.3 should get better mileage than a throttle body 4.3.

I have a 2004 Chevy Blazer 2DR 2WD LS Manual. This thing is a mutant. It is a loaded out standard. The only thing I can say to Chevy about this pile of junk is : why are they making 2005's? I practically have to get out and push the thing up a hill. It goes from 0-60 in about 45 minuetes. There is just NO power behind it. Instead of miles per gallon the Chevy Blazer gets feet per gallon. It costs me aprox. $45.00 to go 250 miles. As for safety I give it 2 thumbs way way down. The windshield wipers don't go fast enough. I have almost lost control several times on the highway when i get hit by a crosswind. Don't get me wrong the Blazer is fun to drive.

Although I currently own a 2002 Blazer, 4-door, I feel just I should warn potential buyers to stray away from this vehicle. I bought a 2002 Blazer brand new and the resale value is so poor I cant get out of it even to gotoa lesser valued car. Chevy is unwilling to negotiate a better deal for a different vehicle leaving me just plain stuck! I hate this vehicle and wouldnt wish its ugly interior looks and poor exterior styling on anyone. Its too bad chevy wont deal because I would dump it for a new vehicle in a second. Buyers beware, and stay away from the Blazer!
