European feel
I love it. I came out of a gas hog truck that got 13 mpg and now I'm getting about 40 mpg. So far so good, and I have not been back to the dealer except for an oil change. I bought an extended warranty so I'm not worried. Not a quick car, but safe.
'06 Chevy Aveo LS 5 Door...a must buy!
I was looking for an econo car that would be priced right and perform like a champ I must confess I found it in my '06 Aveo LS...5sp man w/ 5doors..very roomy...very nice and quiet ride @75mph :) A lot better than the 93 Swift and 95 Honda Civic EX 2Door. I got it 1/22 and so far been shocked at what value this ride has been...in 5 years I hope to tell you more...but so far....a top notch car at a top notch price....I would recommend this car to anyone on a budget or anyone looking for a point A to point B w/o the stress of a Geo or a Suzuki on the freeway!!

"The little car that could!"
I purchased my Aveo in 2013, with 63,000 miles on it, and now have had it for six years.....I live in a rural area, and 95% of my driving NOT stop and go..........I followed the maintenance schedule and have zero issues..........I now have 350,000 miles on her, and the only thing I have replaced is the brakes. I have the four door LS model with a hatchback. And, I am happy to report that she is doing just fine. Had to replace my little lady's suspension, and everything else is great.....................don't hesitate in purchasing this little auto "that could", you will easily get your moneys worth, even if it has 250,000 miles on! It will run for you up another 50,000 miles no problem..........simply follow the book as far as maintenance and you will have no problems! Now 355,000 miles and still running strong, still burns no oil, I did have to replace the crankcase cover, and that's it.............shocks are still originial, and the stick shift console is not working, great little car.....................BUY ONE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.............averages 33 mpg, I plan to buy another one when my little white auto hits 400,000, try and find something with less mileage, say, 225,000 and start all over again:+)...........Have a great 2023 mates:+)

Underrated Good Transportation economic vehicle
Update.... My car broke a timing belt at 60,112 miles and destroyed the engine. The repair cost was more than the value of the car so I had to sell it for junk ($100). I have been driving my 2006 Chevy Aveo for 2 years now with no mechanical problems. It gets very good gas mileage at around 30+ MPG and handles well on long trips. The interior is not fancy and has only minimum creature comforts but is not bad. I purchase the car for only $900 with 46,000 miles on it with a dent in the fender and hood. The parts to repair it were available in the local junkyard at a very low price. I feel that the car will hold up for another 50,000 miles without any major problems and will have provided great service at a very very low cost. The car does not do much to project an image but it is a great car for students and poorer people.

Economical Road Warrior
I've put 87,000 miles on this car in 3.5 years. I'm its only driver. I've put a 6' ladder in this car (and closed the hatch), weedwacker, furniture, a dishwasher, several loads of stone, went on a 2,500 mile road trip. I drive 2 hours a day highway. Drove 6 hours in a blizzard yesterday. I've tested this car pretty good. Roads around here ate up the factory suspension. Changed timing belt at 70,000. This is our "truck". I used it as a landscaping car this summer. Fits a big cargo load with seats down. Love the LT! I will drive it to 200k! I can whip this car around country roads fast enough to induce involuntary screams from passengers, but braking and handling always compensate
