The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe is the high-performance version of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. Its predecessor was the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG. AMG is a division of Mercedes-Benz that builds high-performance vehicles. The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class bows out to make room for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe.
When Does It Go On Sale?
Mercedes-Benz said it expects to have the 2015 S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe in showrooms in November.
How Much Does It Cost?
No official pricing has been released yet, but we expect the top-of-the-line S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe will be priced well over $200,000.
How Does the S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe Compare to the S-Class Coupe and Previous CL63 AMG?
The S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe is more powerful than the base S-Class Coupe. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 Coupe is equipped with a 449-horsepower biturbo 4.7-liter V8 engine. The S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe is equipped with AMG's hand-built biturbo 5.5-liter V8 engine that churns out 577 hp. Compared to the previous CL63 AMG model, engine output has been increased by 41 hp and torque by 74 pound-feet.

Options include an AMG ceramic high-performance braking system for improved brake performance.
Are There Any Unique Elements?
The first buyers can order an Edition 1 version of the S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe that features Magno Alanite Grey matte finish paint and Swarovski crystals in the LED headlights.
What Kind of Standard and Optional Equipment Is Offered?
Standard equipment includes keyless entry with hands-free access, a new three-spoke AMG sport steering wheel, a Burmester Surround Sound System and a touchpad that lets the driver operate the radio, telephone and navigation system. Standard Magic Vision Control cleans the windshield unobtrusively with a duct system that takes water directly to the wiper blade. A raft of driver-assistance systems include Active Lane Keeping Assist and a collision-prevention system.

2014 Bentley Continental GT V8 Coupe: The S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe trumps the Continental GT V8 Coupe when it comes to horsepower. The Bentley churns out 521 hp, 56 hp less than the Mercedes.
2014 BMW M6: The high-performance M6 coupe measures up closely with the S63 AMG coupe when it comes to power and performance. It may come down to which brand is more appealing to the individual car shopper.
2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith: Mercedes-Benz said it is going after Wraith buyers with the 2015 S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe, which may be a bit of a stretch. The Wraith beats the Mercedes in nearly every area, including horsepower and price. The Wraith starts at $284,900 and can quickly escalate to $350,000 with the addition of extras. It also is equipped with a biturbo 624-hp 6.6-liter V12 engine. But the Mercedes coupe is quicker, since the Wraith hits 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
