Used 2015 Audi Q5 Diesel Consumer Reviews
2015 Q5 TDI P+
I bought the car in 2019, 26k miles on it. We have owned several diesels over the years, starting from a 1975 Passat wagon to a 2003 and 2005 Jetta wagons to a 2005 Passat wagon. In between there was a 1985 MB 300DT sedan. The q5 is easily the best. It has a great combination of power, fuel economy, handling and luxury that is hard to find. My only complaint about the car has been the need to replace the HP fuel pump and the low pressure fuel pump at about 80k miles. The former was expensive, nearly $5000. Fortunately both repairs were done under dieselgate warranty which expires in 10/24 for the car. There was also a problem with the BSM system which the dealer didn’t have a clue about. My trusted mechanic was able to fix it after the dealer gave me a runaround that cost $1200. I wonder what else might break next that might have to be repaired by the dealer and might cost a fortune. I’d like to hear from other owners on problems one can expect in high mileage Q5 TDIs.

My Q5 is NEEDY
Here's how non-intuitive the nav/tel/info system is: they call it an "MMI." Think of the diametric opposite of an Apple product's intuitive design. The voice recognition system is poor to the point of being unusable (unlike that of my older Honda). The Q5TDI drinks AdBlue with every other fill up. And Jiffy Lube can't re-set the nagging "needs service" indicator -- you have to go to the dealer for that. On the other hand, it drives well and hasn't broken down.

A Unidentified Dilemma Inside. (AUDI)
Love the ride, handles well on wet roads. Navigation and Blue tooth are difficult to manage. Love the volcanic red color, can locate it in the parking lot easily. Fast when needs to be, great MPG. Replaced the visor hook for $52 when it broke, now the other one broke, must be defective or just poor design. Never had a visor latch break in the 55 years I have had cars.
