This is my second A4 in the current body style. I leased a very early production 2017 A4 Quattro and just replaced it with a 2019 A4 Quattro Premium Plus. I decided to lease another A4 for a few reasons. First, I really enjoyed my old A4. Second, I wasn't overwhelmed by the new S60 and BMW 3 series, and I am not quite ready to go for a Tesla. The pros of the A4 start with the Virtual Cockpit infotainment system. If you don't get it, you're missing a huge selling point for the car. Virtual Cockpit is no longer the newest system on the block, but it is still excellent. Having the large Google Earth map with traffic info right in front of me while dealing with LA rush hour traffic is a huge plus. It isn't an annoying touchscreen system, which makes it less distracting. You do have to take a little time to learn all the features offered and set it up to your liking (it's worth spending time digging through all the menus), but once you're done, it's pretty intuitive. Virtual Cockpit is fast and it appears to be a little snappier than 2017 version. The rest of the interior is well put together and high quality. I am 6'2" with a big frame (size 14 feet, broad shoulders) and I fit really well in the driver seat. The sport seat with the extendable thigh support is a must for me given my body size. Also, the extendable and height adjustable center armrest is a fantastic detail that you don't see in a lot of non-VW/Audi cars. This is actually one of the few cars where my right knee isn't squeezed by the center console and dash. This was mentioned as a problem by another reviewer, but I haven't had this issue. Even the Honda Accord, which is a bigger car overall, didn't fit me well. In terms of performance, the '45' engine has plenty of power, especially low in the rev band. This is helpful for quick starts or squirting through tight openings. It's not earth shattering, but it certainly gets the job done and is class competitive. The ride seems a little tighter and more composed than in my old A4. It may be just that the car is new or they could have tweaked the suspension, but I definitely feel it. The car feels really solid and stable, though not cushy, even on nasty LA roads. I wouldn't call it super sporty, but the ride definitely has a premium feel and cabin noise is limited. The downsides of the A4 aren't huge, but they are there. Reliability could be a question mark. My 2017, again a very early model, had some 'teething problems' that I hope don't happen with the new car. The right side mirror motor failed, a parking sensor failed and I had a defective brake pad. So far, no issues with the new one. Styling is fine, but it won't turn heads. They cleaned up the exhaust area and tweaked the front end for 2019. Other nags: The 'kick' trunk opening feature is a pain on this model. Before, it would work if you 'kicked' right under the center of the rear end. Now, it's toward the left side and very hit or miss. You can't get adaptive cruise control or a 360 camera without getting the expensive Prestige trim. This is annoying considering cars half the price now at least have adaptive cruise. Also, Audi Connect, which includes the Google Earth maps, is expensive at $49.99 a month. For me, it's worth it, but it may not be for everyone. Overall, even with the nits, this is still a fantastic car that I love driving every day. I would highly recommend it.

There are so many cars out there that selecting one can be a daunting task. So, first and foremost, you need to know what you are looking for. I bought my A4 2020, 2 months ago, and while it is a short time, I hope help someone who might be struggling with the decision to buy one. It is a great car, but it is not an out of the world car. You will hear many people say that Audi cars are endless money pits, that they don't age well, they require a lot of maintenance, that repair costs are high, a lot of depreciation, etc. I don't know if all this is true (except depreciation), but if you are concerned about such opinions, this car is not for you. If you are willing to pay the price, you will get a wonderfully crafted interior (one of the.most beautiful in my opinion), audi ownership prestige, amazing driving experience, smart security features and happiness. It sounds materialistic but once you have worked hard enough for something, you deserve to treat yourself. :) Features available in this car are also available in other cars and one may think that why do they need to pay 45k for this car when they can get the same features in a 25k car. To answer that, if you are someone who appreciates the little details, you will appreciate Audi, else you will feel that it is a waste of money.

I compared the A4 Quattro to the Mercedes C, BMW 3 series, Lexus and Volvo. The Audi does everything so well that I couldn’t find much to complain about. 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds With 40mpg’s highway is great. The DSG transmission is incredible with smooth crisp Shifting between gears. Consumer reports gives the A4 a very high rating that’s top in its class with excellent reliability for the last four years since this new style was released. The LED headlights are amazing, they even shine into turns Lighting the way. Top pick in crash tests too. Update: I’m still very happy with my Audi A4 Quattro. It’s been trouble free with only Oil & Filter changes done as required. Winter driving this year has only given me more praise by the way this car handles the worst weather conditions getting me home safely while I see other makes stuck in snow and icy roads. Update: this A4 has been trouble free, only trips to dealer are for scheduled oil& filter changes. Love this car more and more. Excellent MPGs and great performance. Update: My A4 has been 100% trouble free and I still enjoy it very much. Update: 93,000 miles and its been the best car I've ever owned. Had a recall for the seat heater switch in passenger seat other than that just regular oil & Filter changes and one Transmission fluid change. Still drives like a new car.

I test drove the Mercedes, Volvo, and Lexus that compete in this price range. I bought the A4 and am loving it! I was inclined to buy the Lexus 350, since I had been driving Lexus for 22 years. But I did not like the new grill, and the technology was worse. Using a mouse pad and cursor to navigate the screen was difficult, and seemed impossible to use while driving. Which makes a lot of things unusable. The Audi has great tech, including two screens that are digital that can be changed. For example, if you want the nav system in front of the steering wheel, you can put it there, and put something else on the middle screen. Buttons and dials make this happen -very easy, very practical, and very cool. The stereo sounds great, the acceleration is best in class, and the steering and breaking are very responsive. The four-wheel drive is a plus that I will really enjoy in winter. The car is quiet, and saves gas at stops by shutting off the engine (but not the lights, radio, AC, etc). The engine comes to life before you can move your foot from the brake to the gas. And if for some reason you have a driver who doesn’t like this, it can be disabled with the touch of the button. I’m 5’11” and feel very comfortable in the car. My legs are not cramped. I agree that the two cup holders are not well placed, and only one will hold large drinks. But this car is at least as good as the Mercedes, and costs $6,000 when similarly equipped.

This A4 is my first Audi lease. My wife leased an A3 that has recently ended (she's since switched to a Q5) and I driving it I felt it was fine, but lacking. It felt just a little too small and the interior just a little too cheap. With the lease of my CLA250 4Matic ending I was looking initially at the new 2020 CLA (great all-around but a little too small for my needs) and the 2019/20 C300. I test drove both the C300 and the A4 and the latter nudges out the C300 mainly due the A4 offering much more at a better price. The main issue with Mercedes is the fact that there aren't set tiers like there are with Audi wherein features are standard with that tier. As such, you'll be paying a lot more for a loaded C300 than an A4 just due to the fact that there are more A4s available at the tiers you want. Another factor that led me to the A4 was comfort. Mercedes by default doesn't offer leather interior and so their seats feel a little stiffer. The C300's rear space is also lacking due to its rounded shape. Performance-wise the A4 has a much sportier feel than anticipated, especially if you spring for the Quattro config. It's not the quickest sedan in its class but it definitely gets the job done. Some may say it needs a faster engine, but I didn't feel like the current one was lacking. Overall I'm very impressed and if Audi starts standardizing a lot of the driver assistance features that are on the Prestige package going forward I'll be inclined to lease another A4 when this one is up.

‘21 A4 45 Premium + S-Line offers top safety ratings, amazing tech, a responsive and efficient power plant as well as good looks. What’s not to love! This is my third consecutive Audi; its bespoke cabin is a refuge at days end. 3D Bang/Olufsen sound is transformative. Team Ingolstadt hit a home run with this conveyance, most assuredly!

I bought this car roughly three weeks ago. Since then, all of my great first impressions have held up and then some. What drew me most to this car was the interior (because that is a huge factor for me, aside from driving experience) and it has not disappointed. It is comfortable and filled with great features. The drive has been fantastic. I have the 45 engine (~250 HP). The steering feels fluid, yet accurate. The ride is nice and smooth with limited outside noise pouring into the cabin. It is a wonderfully balanced experience. You can either drive it casually and comfortably...or...you can put it into sport mode and dynamic suspension and really kick it into gear. In sport mode, the response from the engine is impressive and the car can really move. The car is fuel efficient! I'm averaging 25-28 with city driving and 27-30 with city/highway. It does require premium gas but that is a small price to pay for a fuel efficient luxury sedan. Best of all, it really is an eye-catcher. The interior is flawless but the exterior is also lovely no matter what angle you look at it from. My Audi came with the Audi ring lights that beam from the front doors onto the floor and has by far been one of the nicest and most complemented features. All in all, if you're looking for a beautiful luxury sedan, with fantastic modern technology and a terrific driving experience, the Audi A4 is one you should definitely consider.

Great handling and very good acceleration and braking. The driving is secure around corners and on wet roads. The dynamic cruise control is a nice feature as well in highway driving. I've had cruise control on other vehicles, but for the most part never use it. With the 2021 A4, the dynamic cruise control feature does a very good job of adjusting speeds to the flow of the traffic -- also it seems to be a great way to optimize fuel economy in highway driving. In terms of interior comfort and features, the car is outstanding for the driver and front passenger. In addition to getting a new car, I also made a point of upgrading my cellphone. I thought about getting the technology package and navigation, but have been very satisfied with Android Auto on a new Samsung phone. The new phone adds value to the car, and the car's ability to make use of the new phone's features, adds value to the phone. I've found every excuse in recent weeks to take the car out on the road. There was a bit of a learning curve in the first few days as a first-time Audi owner, but the car really grows on you, things become much more intuitive after using the car for a few days. Even after reading the owner's manual front and back and nearly a month of ownership, I'm still discovering cool new features related to the way the car operates and integration with the phone and Audi app. Even with the more powerful engine, I have been getting good mileage too driving in Dynamic mode. e.g. up to 40 on the highway, 26 in town, about 28 overall. The only real downside is the relatively small backseat. The rear seat is made of fine materials, but there's not a lot of head and leg room for people 6 foot or taller. Also, in warmer regions of the country, it is worth considering ventilated seats and a lighter colored vehicle. Overall though, it's a great car. A superb daily commuter and ideal for trips. ADDITIONAL NOTE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: Have had car for nearly 7,000 miles, still working great. Winter handling has been superb on secondary roads that aren't regularly plowed. Car heating system generally works great -- seat heaters are excellent. Steering wheel heater isn't really noticeable, but the car warms up quickly so this isn't really a feature that I miss or use. In terms of general maintenance, I try to make sure to keep the various car sensors clean. It's worthwhile investing in a microfiber cloth for the task. Audi also has a window cleaning solution that you can buy through dealerships. As far as minor gripes go, some of the add-on technology features still seem to be in a beta test mode. e.g. the MyAudi app worked great initially, but after a software update this past Fall there were issues for a few weeks trying to communicate with the car. The MyAudi app isn't a really essential function to vehicle operation, but it's a secondary feature that is nice to have when it works. Also, Audi has some subscription services that you can purchase through the MyAudi App including a short-term licenses for Audi's built-in in-car navigation software. My experiences with it were a bit mixed. The add-on feature allows you to view navigation data on the driver display along with the other gauge clusters. Without the built-in navigation feature (or short-term license), the navigation data, via Android Auto or Apple Car Play, only displays on the touchscreen on the center console. Additionally, the short-term license includes things like weather radar, which are nice to have, but not essential for daily use. I tried the short-term licenses out for a couple months. The first month the functions worked great. The second month that I tried, they didn't. e.g. navigation in particular did not active properly in the second month. I have stuck to using Android Auto instead for daily use, which works great.

I found the car my dreams at a dealer who is a trick playing organization. I found another dealer, in the Denver area in Broomfield and they got the exact car that I have been dreaming about for many years. They did a dealer trade for me. They gave me a great price. They had no tricks. The car drives magnificently and has every feature I could imagine. It is nimble, not flashy and has a great driver seat which I care about very much. Car and driver magazine said that the driver seat was hard for tall people to get in and out of. But I do not find that to be true and I am a tall woman. Perfect car!

This car is absolutely phenomenal. Everything is put together with precision, the power delivery is effortless, steering and handling is like a dream, and the car is unbelievably comfortable and spacious. Style abounds, and I'm left wondering what happened to other German cars? This car reminds me of the days when owning a German sports sedan actually meant something - and that's a very good thing. Still early on in ownership but I'm coming from BMW and I couldn't be more impressed. Drive one for yourself and you will be too.
